  • Printing session 3 and 4 of this aluminum foil print. Far better results than I initially expected! I have enough good prints for an edition of 30 on top of the original colour edition. Who knew aluminum foil could be so great!?
    I’m not going to touch the plate again for a few months, so it will interesting to see if at that point it’s still going.

    Magical.! This is exactly what good artists do… manipulating what others might consider odds and ends, simple tools and art materials in the quest to give a visual form to something that up to then was intangible and unknown… thank you.

    How can i transfer a design from paper to foil , please
    I try a esitol and it failure

      I transfer the outlines of my design to the foil using a ballpoint pen over a sketch (sometimes with carbon copy paper in between). In this way, you still need to draw the design onto the foil, using the outlines as a guide.
      The other method would be using acetone, but it will only work for a toner print (i.e,. a photocopy and not a print from an inkjet printer). In addition to ample amounts of acetone, it will also need pressure (like being passed through a press).
