    Five years, or maybe six years ago I've ever watched the video of making screen printing, not this video but the other, still made by Wai Hang, and remarkably I watched again this year. I don't know why, but, I will never get bored watching video like this. Thanks Wai Hang PS: BTW, I have my equipment now. Start to do some project.What some years of waiting, aye.

      Thank you for watching. Besides the screen printing demo, I feel the background music is very good too. That maybe another reasons why you want to watch this video again. Please keep doing screen printing.

      @@TSANGHANGLEUNG Well it does. The music really effects on me for I fond of jazz. If may, I'd like to ask about film making. Some use calque paper and some use transparent paper. In your opinion, which one is best in making a film? Btw, I'm still newbie in this stuff, so your answer means a lot to me. Thanks btw.

    I've worked in printing as a full colour offset litho printer since leaving college 30+ years ago I worked my way up as a no1 but never touched screen printing cause of the mess and all the chemicals I've been involved with the biggest blue-chip companies in the UK and I enjoyed every day on the large offsets its hard work but very rewarding so I advize on going into print if you enjoy arts and mechanical minded but not for the colour blind as you haven't a chance of colour work on anything.

    I like how you stretch the screen over the frames. Its really clever.
    I used to have a diy 3 platen line table press when I had my setup in my garage. It was so much better than having a rotary press. It was incredibly cheap and really easy to build, took up much less space and I had the ability to accurately print as many colors as needed. It's a great, low cost solution for people who are thinking of getting into the screen printing biz.

    does it matter if the printed image isn't as opaque for exposure and would it take longer to expose?

    • @TSANGHANGLEUNG
      @TSANGHANGLEUNG  7 років тому +1

      The image on the transparency film, that should be as dark as possible. Your image film is used to block the UV light during exposure.

    • @francesco2332
      @francesco2332 7 років тому +1

      okay thanks! I've just layered two of the same film together for a opaque outcome, which I'll try tonight. I've prepared the screens with one coat of emulsion on each side this time so it should be a good clear outcome this time. oh and I'm using a 500W flood light, any tips with that?
      thank you again!

    • @TSANGHANGLEUNG
      @TSANGHANGLEUNG  7 років тому

      We are using UV light for the exposure. This is not depended on the brightness of the lamp. We feel exposure your screen under sunny day is very effective. Please try to use your lamp first anyway. You will get more experience by trying different kind of light source.

    hi how and when did you wash the ink from the screen? Doesn't the ink dries or stick on the silk?

    • @TSANGHANGLEUNG
      @TSANGHANGLEUNG  7 років тому +1

      After your printing job, you should not wait and clean your screen quickly by water. If the ink is dried on screen, that will blocked the screen holes.

    • @mbarankiziltan
      @mbarankiziltan 7 років тому +1

      how can i clean the ink that is blocking the screen?

    • @TSANGHANGLEUNG
      @TSANGHANGLEUNG  7 років тому +1

      When you are during printing and you find the image is blocked. You may use a wet cloth to wipe the screen (no ink side). Then use a tissue paper to absorb the exceed water. By this way the screen hole will open again, and you don't need to clean the whole screen during your printing job.

    • @mbarankiziltan
      @mbarankiziltan 7 років тому +1

      Hi Tsang, thank you for your help. when i started printing, the holes on the silk sheet immediatly closed. I tried to wash it off, but it didnt work. I even used a thinner but still wasnt able open the holes on the silk. Why do you think such thing happened?

    • @TSANGHANGLEUNG
      @TSANGHANGLEUNG  7 років тому +1

      The printing table (platform or base), should be sticky. Then your printing materials can be pasted on the table firmly and no moving. By this way can solve your ink blocking problems. All ink can transfer through the screen and no retain on the screen.

    Otra cosa que agregar y muy importante en esa TéCNICA SE DESPERDICIA MUCHA AGUA.
    Lo recomendable es rocear con dispensador la pantalla y luego frotar levemente con un trapo y listo.
    Además de que ese trabajo no necesitaba de revelado.
    SI NO MAS BIEN DE LA UTILIZACION DE VINILO Y PLOTTER DE CORTE.
    Es decir una impresión indirecta.

    hey sir,,, can i ask you what makes a film exposed on a film? is it the extreme light or the heat? whats more prefer, led light or ordinary bulb? is it enough to have a exposure device like a six pcs of 9 watts bulb? and how long should i expd it. thank you sir...😊

    • @TSANGHANGLEUNG
      @TSANGHANGLEUNG  6 років тому

      joel genaro Using LED light is okay, please choose as bright as possible. For the best result you should use UV lamp. If you don’t have UV light, use sun ray for exposure is another good idea.
