Mr . Mason This is the best version of the bands out there trying to cover The Floyd ever ! It is the best song list and the best light .stage show, as near the 60 s early 70 s shows that ive seen video of . im 10 years short of being there your first time around , so i thank y all for these fine representations of the early shows . Floyd ON !

As a guitarist, he experimented with free-form playing and elements such such as dissonance, distortion, echo, feedback, and other studio effects, proving influential to many musicians. " Dear SYD:-)
Aww, I've not been able to get tickets for Nick Mason, so it's wonderful to see this! PINK FLOYD were a huge part of the soundtrack to my youth in 70s. Gorgeous music. Nothing like them in today's dull auto-tuned music chart!
I saw the show. in Detroit (April 9, 2019) from 5th row center. And you are correct. Guy was so enthusiastic and seemed genuinely inspired throughout. Perpetually smiling and connecting directly with the audience. Nick, and the whole band, kicked @ss, and are obviously enjoying this immensely. Nick put together (and is delivering) something very special and unpretentious here. Cheers.
Both Gilmour and Waters must see this! and look how awesome this show is. its a shame they dont play with it with their pall and former band member Mr Mason. i would. but neverthelles these guys nailed it!
Absolutely Nick Mason shows are all about fearless four which are no where in the book of Dave & Rog. I really wanted to listen to these songs... thanks Nick
Saw him in Houston last night very glad I went!!! Really brought the old songs to life, sound wise, and the energy was there for sure. Great Job Nick and his Saucer Full of Secrets!
Nick stated, with no direct bitterness, that neither Dave or Roger contacted or asked him to be part of their band/tours for over two decades now (Live 8 was an exception for all). Both Dave and Roger are too big for their britches to share the reigns or humble themselves down. I saw Nick's SOS show in Detroit on April 9, 2019. It was an immensely fufilling, rewarding enjoyable experience. No hype, spectacle or pretentiousness. A class act all the way. Nick and the band laying it down with skill and style. Super cool.
Not here. Always been a favorite of mine since I first heard it. No idea how many times I’ve listened to it. Another movie soundtrack they did was More. Another favorite of mine.
After all this time, the heartbeat of Pink Floyd shows his true colors as the glue that held the songs together. Great choice of material too. In the early days he always looked so detached and studious, especially when playing. Now he's grown into his personality. He looks like a magical toymaker. I saw Pink Floyd twice, in '70 and '72, and this line-up easily captures that pared down and intense flavor. Thank you Nick!
I really hope Nick takes this band on an American tour.... This was the best era of Pink Floyd for me.... From Piper at the Gates of Dawn to Obscured by Clouds..... I like the music after that but I find the albums I go back to most are the first few.
I went to the show this past Tuesday, in Detroit. Yes, it was simply kick @ss from start to finish. I'm now envious of you, that I won't be able to catch another one of their shows. Saturday night is prime time, and mood, for everyone involved at such an event as this. Cheers.
@Jeff E. sorry to hear only the $400 tickets remain. Is there no way you can travel to another city; say Miami FL that is close by and get a cheaper ticket? Damn bro I feel sorry for ya. I know exactly what it's like to go without. Over in Australia we have EAGLES & EMINEM touring and all their A & B reserve tickets seem left on sale yeah you guessed it right its around $250 to $400 a ticket And what's worse is EM plays stadiums and EAGLES play indoor arenas. Ridiculous ripoff prices mate.
Imagine that it came to Australia. There's a massive audience for anything Floyd, Down Under. Roger's concerts are always almost sold out, as would be Gilmour's, if he ever came here. I don't believe that Dave will. So, hopefully, Nick & co. decide to bless us.
I don't think I've ever seen Mason's Saucerful, so this was quite a treat. The beginning of Obscured by Clouds reminds me a lot of the opening to Led Zeppelin's "In the Light"......anyone else hear that?
he played out both waters and gilmour with their massive commercial big ego tours, no offense to the guys, love them to, but Nick's showing something here! not keeping stuck with the dsotm and wall era for the past 30 years.
Actually, he was the Pink one. He's the one behind the concept for Saucerful of Secrets (the song) that set their direction for several years and gave us the band's best era, captured on film at Pompeii. Incidentally, his band is called Saucerful of Secrets and is performing the songs from that era.
Yes. See video description. I wanted to keep the title short enough so people could read Arnold Layne too, in case someone is searching for that (And OBC + WYI are mostly played together - and seldomly searched individually - anyway)
Both Gary, and Lee Harris, share lead guitar roles depending on the song. I saw the show and Gary's playing was on top of it, and often quite articulate, no problem. Lee handles most of the slide guitar parts. The guitars, and entire band meshed together well and naturally.
Oh,no....please no!!! It has nothing to do with the old ,original pink floyd sound.....that`s just a pain in my ears.I `ll keep the "old" ones in my heart forever!!! Holger -p.floyd fan from where it started....
I loved this whole show, but one thing I did have real problem with was the vocals on Fearless and the lack of guitar nuance as heard in the studio release... all the little fingering is missing and the ethereal haunting tones, are missing here... the vocals are very nasally and irritating on Fearless. Compare it to the original ua-cam.com/video/TeyHPAdxuy0/v-deo.html
As it's one of my all time favourite Floyd tunes, agreed. But it's the only chance I'll ever have of hearing this live so I'm there in a heartbeat. Without Nick I wouldn't be playing drums so it's an honor watching him perform as well 🍻
I've been to Ringo's shows which can be sappy or feel like a promotional event. I saw Nick's show this week and was simply kick @ss!. A deeply rewarding and worthy experience. This is a project, and tour, delivered with sincerity and class.
I would still consider going just to hear the early PF tunes live but I see what you mean. I wonder if perhaps Nick had tapped some younger players that might have a bit more grit and fire…maybe Nick McCabe (The Verve) on guitar, and the lead singer/guitar and bass from Temples??? Or, um, Nick…I'm always available too, just so you know ;-) Anyway, Nick is awesome, a great musician and a very funny guy as well…"Can I have a fruit pie? And not the corner piece. And no crust."
Greatest hits??? Like when they played Vegetable Man? or Remember a Day? or The Nile Song? or Point me at the Sky? or Lucifer Sam? or Obcured by Clouds/When you're In? or Let there be more Light? or Childhood's End? or If / Atom Heart Mother?
Kudos to Nick Mason for bringing back to life my very favorite era of Pink Floyd!
And the stage look is exactly how it should be - - thank you.
Buy it on blueray it is amazing.

One of the most visually stunning shows I've been to in a long time, and of course the music was great as well!
they were after all one of the Kings of stage shows IN THE BEGINING !
Just Great.
I think Sid would be lying down with one eye open and just remembering with a little cheeky smile.
Mr. Mason, you should bring your magnifecent psycodelic show to Louisville, KY in the USA. You are the best!!!!!

Very cool stuff, I'd go if he came to Australia!
@Jeff E. This is The best set list a Floyd fan could dream.
