Thanks, will do! My current issue is people aren’t being notified about my videos. I appreciate your input and support you are so appreciated friend!❤️❤️❤️
keep up the work you do and just so you know I am not getting notified of your UA-cam videos. Also Bg3 content in my perception is still very relevant to cover
Thanks! Will do! While I do plan to keep covering other games my main game remains BG3 and I have a lot of content planned for the next few months. I honestly don’t know what to do about the notifications. I’m so lucky you and a few others take time to check for my videos but it’s really tough getting them to an audience when it feels UA-cam is working against that 😂 😭. You are definitely appreciated dude so so much….
For Honor Mode, One advise from my honor playthrough if you start as Monk is to pick Laezel first instead of Astorian first for the medium armor and natural progression to Act 1.5 for her personal quest alot of good monk items appear after and the good cloth monk armor appear in act 3 or stats cloth armor appear in act 1.5 and act 2, you can then change to Astorian after during Act 2 for his quest with Raphael. Hmm, Why do we need to play Halsen to get more exp overall or more quest? I thought you still get the Lift the Shadow Curse and Thaniel quest without Halsen in the party?
Great advice for early game. While you can get the exp of Halsin is in camp shockingly enough after playing with a lot of people I’ve noticed unless they have him in the party T least once many people won’t rescue Halsin at all 😳. This leads to horrible exp loss in act 2. Like a clarified in that part as long as you have him in camp at least I do feel it’s fine and shadowheart is a good alternative but people at the very least do need to rescue him.
I think you guys are underestimating how good karlach is as a monk as well her soul coins activate with the monk unarm attacks without raging so while astarian is the best end game monk karlach as a monk from the start of the game is extremely powerful and the soul coins last until long rest
They are definitely two of the most popular companions it seems to me from looking at people’s post on Reddit and other forums. The funny thing is seeing how much debate and discussion companions bring up. We are truly lucky with bg3 because it feels like there is no “right” or obvious choice like in a lot of other games.
Really enjoying this & the way you broke it down. I’m not a fan of Minthara’s recruitment method in Good play throughs. You have to make the very meta choice to switch to non-lethal attacks. The only in-game explanation there is that you don’t want to kill anyone cute. Maybe it would work in a non-lethal playthrough where you’re trying not to kill anyone. ;-)
Thanks for your continued support friend! I totally agree I wish there was some way to get her in a more naturalistic way on good/ neutral runs as it just doesn’t seem realistic she joins you later. One small tragedy as she is such an amazing character and I love 💕 her dialogue so so much!
@@ThatAnxiousGamer I completely agree that she has great dialogue. She is such a perfect evil companion. For an evil play through, I would 100% choose Minthara, Astarion (ascended), & Lae’zel (Vlakith worshipping). Shadowheart (Shar worshipping) as a backup. But I’m softhearted, and I want the Good Path for all of my friends.
Shadowheart really grows on you throughout the game and there is a strong argument she has the largest character arc in BG3. It’s a great choice for a romance 💘 and I’m glad it’s working out well for you friend. It’s so good to see you again!💯💯💯
ye i agree shadowheart is op i made her a light domain and shes pretty good, also ye karlack is good but barbarian isnt that good so i made her a fighter and she is really strong but thats my opinion
I have a full guide on clerics and am aiming to make a lot more. Light 💡/ Life is definitely the way to go so I think you made great choices all around. Thank you so much for your support sir!
@@sam-s6o yeah it really depends on the part of the game. Light is incredibly good in act 2 and late act 1. I prefer life in early act 1 and all of act 3.
I love all of the Origin Characters as Characters, but when it comes to the romances I only really like Karlach’s romance. She’s direct, open, and almost always positive. Absolutely best partner. Gale is still stuck on his Ex until you supplant her. Now you have to spend the rest of your life competing with an actual goddess. Astarion uses and manipulates you. You can “fix” him (unlike the real world version), but in character I don’t even like letting him stay in the camp after he tries to molest you in your sleep. Shadowheart isn’t looking for a relationship or even a fling, though it is a good relationship if you get her to quit her cult and deal with her horrific trauma. So, yeah, red flag city. Lae’zel is actually a pretty good relationship if you “fix” her, but again in real world terms just say no to Githyanki Supremacists.
😂 had a real laugh discovering your thoughts on all the relationships. It’s so so true! BG3 is literally trauma city 🌆. Like everyone is either suffering from or recovering ❤️🩹 from PTSD. Like you mentioned the Astarion thing is in my mind the most egregious. I personally think if he looked different ( less handsome) people would have a far more dark take on him sulking around at night doing god knows why to you. That actually got me to stake him through the heart in my first playthrough I was so shocked 😮.
Getting Minthara in a good run of the game isn't too difficult. It involves getting her to go temporary hostile. Done by stealing something with her witnessing it or attacking some other character, like the floating eye in the room with her as the witness. Then knocking her out with non-lethal melee attacks. But you have to refrain from long resting until you have dealt with the other 2 goblin leaders. This is because temporary knocked out entities will awaken after a long rest. Report that you have dealt with them, and they will want to have a party at your camp to celebrate. Long resting there ends the party and she will appear in Act 2 same as if you sided with her. But as far as forming a relationship and a romantic relationship it can be done either way as she starts with zero approval of your character regardless of if you sided with her or not. Just if you go evil at least for Act 1 you will get to see her romance scene but if you don't you won't see a romance scene with her. Most of her romance really begins with Act 3. But there are quite a few ways to get approval from her in Act 2. She is also one of those characters that will not like you seeking out other people romantically.
Definitely not hard to do but for those that don’t know the trick it would be a wild leap to see how they could figure it out. It’s a shame as she is an absolutely (wink) amazing companion.
Ty so much for this !! Exactly what ive been looking for!
Really glad to be of help friend! You are appreciated here and just ask if you have any other video ideas 💡!
This is a great comprehensive video! I really love your BG3 videos keep them up if you still enjoy making them!

But the real question is, which companion is the best to snu snu?
Minthera/Karlach for sure 👍🏻

If we are talking snu snu, def karlach.the only Amazonian vibe character
Thanks again for the great guide! Planning a addon-enabled honor mode run in a couple of weeks.
Glad I could help! That sounds like a lot of fun what mods are you planning on using?
I didnt even get out of the first act of BG3 😆 maybe ill finish it one day

Conveniently, Karlach and Astarion are the 2 companions I most enjoy having in my party.
