As someone who owns the modulator they use for the show, I can confirm that just talking into it without putting in the acting to make it sound right actually does sound just like that. It's amazing how much of it is just Nicholas Briggs (or you, or me, or whoever) talking like a Dalek.

One thing you notice (which I'm sure you've noticed) is that a lot of the Dalek voice from the show is actually just what Nicholas Briggs' voice sounds like, and that other people who do it won't sound the same because it'll be missing that component.
I don't know about that but I for one did like the Dalek's new sleek appearance it made them look more like elegant deadly Pepper Potts. the red lights made them look like you shouldn't mess with fire. I do like how this Dalek speaks with a Yorkshire accent

It feels Ironic hearing the voice of the 9th Doctor as the daleks. In my opinion, I have never seen the Doctor's rage for the dalkes so raw and powerful in any other Doctor from this one... just to be the voice of the most cheery guy who goes to work with the most positive attitude ever! It feels so back-to-front it turns in on itself and makes it that much more hilarious.

As someone who personally hates the new era(Post Moffat), this video was brilliant. Really shows what the right delivery and mentality can create when producing entertainment.
Honestly, I consider everything past Russel Davies the "new era". That's when it stopped being a beloved nostalgia product and started turning towards being a cash grab, and then it completed the transformation after Moffat.

After a while, it would just become a giant frayed mess and he would just reboot and start from a new beginning to resolve the bloated story issue. You can kind of see this with stuff like being too fixated on Clara Oswald and giving her a free TARDIS (which I think was a bad idea) and if I remember correctly, “Demons Run” is the episode where too many characters are brought in on one episode.

It feels like a egg without anything actually inside it. Seems good enough but feels hollow inside. That being said Revolution of the Daleks has shown promise for the future (Or that could just be Jack and the Daleks)

Everything Chibnal has done feels like a poorly executed rip off of past plot lines as well as rip offs of other franchises. The timeless child wasn't just an unnecessary revelation that poorly explains things which never needed explaining but it was a blatant rip off of Doomsday's origin story from the DC universe. Moreover every detail in doctor who prier to this point fits inline with the assumption the doctor is a Time Lord with a regeneration limit. The Moffat era had a lot of details both prominently and in the back ground which pointed to that being the case and all Chibnal has done is created more work for himself because he now has to explain all the masses of contradictions. If he doesn't then any other show runner can just come up with a timey wimey way to say that it didn't happen, none of it's true and just cap off what a pointless waste of time Chris Chibnal's run of the show was.
I didn’t watch the New Years special so I was shortly convinced this was real dialogue by the Daleks. Really love seeing the Rowan Atkinson ending. I had fun seeing him play the Doctor for a bit 😊

As someone who personally hates the new era(Post Moffat), this video was brilliant. Really shows what the right delivery and mentality can create when producing entertainment.
Honestly, I consider everything past Russel Davies the "new era". That's when it stopped being a beloved nostalgia product and started turning towards being a cash grab, and then it completed the transformation after Moffat.
@@edisontrent618 To each his own I guess. I was introduced with classic Who, but quickly fell in love with the newer ones as well (up till about Series 10, after which I increasingly disliked it. Didn't even watch Series 12 or 13 as I thought 11 was just that bad).
@@edisontrent618I disagree with both of you, as while the Chibnall era has many, MANY, flaws, I feel it still keeps the spirit of Doctor Who just enough that I can still enjoy it as Doctor Who.
And Moffat was better than Davies, bite me.
@@saoranachnah-alba723I always thought Moffat had great ideas and episodes, but as the seasons progressed he had a hard time executing the overall bi-seasonal arc. After a while, it would just become a giant frayed mess and he would just reboot and start from a new beginning to resolve the bloated story issue. You can kind of see this with stuff like being too fixated on Clara Oswald and giving her a free TARDIS (which I think was a bad idea) and if I remember correctly, “Demons Run” is the episode where too many characters are brought in on one episode.

so glad to see that the king of doctor who parodies has finally made his triumphant return! Your re working of the dialogue has always been consistently hilarious and this is no exception. It feels like a egg without anything actually inside it. Seems good enough but feels hollow inside.
That being said Revolution of the Daleks has shown promise for the future

@@her0880 No ones saying he changed the name, it just feels like it's "doctor who" in name only. Everything Chibnal has done feels like a poorly executed rip off of past plot lines as well as rip offs of other franchises. The timeless child wasn't just an unnecessary revelation that poorly explains things which never needed explaining but it was a blatant rip off of Doomsday's origin story from the DC universe. Moreover every detail in doctor who prier to this point fits inline with the assumption the doctor is a Time Lord with a regeneration limit. The Moffat era had a lot of details both prominently and in the back ground which pointed to that being the case and all Chibnal has done is created more work for himself because he now has to explain all the masses of contradictions. If he doesn't then any other show runner can just come up with a timey wimey way to say that it didn't happen, none of it's true and just cap off what a pointless waste of time Chris Chibnal's run of the show was.
I didn’t watch the New Years special so I was shortly convinced this was real dialogue by the Daleks. Really love seeing the Rowan Atkinson ending. I had fun seeing him play the Doctor for a bit 😊
