  • Have you ever wondered, how your G&G GP exhaust is produced? This video shows a couple of the steps in the process of creating your exhaust. All our exhausts are hand-made in Italy, according to high standards. Of course, we are always ready to answer all your questions!
We receive a lot of comments about the fact that no welding gloves are used. Our main goal was to show the process as well as we could, and the decision was made not to use gloves for once. Rest assured that our welders normally use protective gear. We thank you for your concern for our welders' health.
Check www.gegshop.nl for our different GP exhausts.

    No purge while welding ?
Is there ugly carbon inside ?
No acid cleaning to remove heat traces ?

Basically it is fuse welding, compare it to the method used in spot welding, but on a curve. The material on both sides is fused together, which gives a nice clean seam and is sufficiently strong, these parts do not carry any load whatsoever.

That's a lot of work. No gloves for UV protection?

Thanks! Everything is possible, but we do not have a plug-and-play kit for the 03-04 ZX6R. We can however deliver a GP exhaust and linkpipe, the only adjustment needed would be to make the bracket meet the bike's exhaust bracket. We also have our Big Oval and the Moto2 exhaust for the ZX6R.

It's a TIG (TUNGSTEN INERT GAS) welder. TIG welders create very little distortion and are commonly used in this type of application because of their pinpoint accuracy and low distortion.

that's only for the video, normally the welding takes place with hand protection. To show the process better, it was done this once without gloves.

Beautifull exhaust, high quality. Why most people comments for the gloves? The video is about the exhaust.....

Thanks. That's a matter of what is in view and what isn't, the dB-killer isn't in clear view, and then it's easier and faster to use regular MIG.

Well, it doesn't rust a lot, as it is all stainless AISI304. Besides that, the inside of the pipe will be covered in soot after the first ride, so it does not matter too much either.

unfortunately we don't have it for the Kawasaki 250 yet, but we will make sure the R&D department gets your request. You could consider taking the R6 GP exhaust and making it fit, that exhaust would cost € 290,- ($ 365) including shipping to Colombia. We are always ready to help you with any questions you may have.
