***** About Living Traditions Homestead *****
Living Traditions Homestead is all about living a simple and sustainable way of life. We believe the world has gotten too “busy” and that people are missing out on many of the true blessings this world has to offer. We started as a small urban homestead in Gilbert, AZ and after the city grew up around us, decided it was time leave corporate America and take a big leap of faith by moving our family to the Missouri Ozarks.
We put out 2 new videos every week! Wednesday and Saturday. We hope you will become part of our homestead family by subscribing to our channel and watching as we give up the rat race and live simpler, more fulfilling life in the country.

With any device that burns in an enclosed space, I would definitely install a Carbon Monoxide alarm.

Sarah and Kevin, as you know from your past professions, every job has an area for the employees to relax and recharge with some coffee. Since Homesteading is your "job", I think this shed should be called the "Breakroom". Here are a couple of suggestions for your breakroom: 1) Add a whiteboard for important dates or ideas, 2) Add cup hooks above the windows as a "herb drying" station, adding an incredible aroma and freeing up more house space, 3) Simply "Plumb" in water by drilling a hole to exterior, attach a quick connect to the exterior of hole and a shutoff valve to interior, this would allow you to have a short piece of hose to bring the well water inside, 4) and finally, add a radio because music makes every day happy. Big hugs from Pam in NW Arkansas.

Kevin and Sarah, I think you guys are absolutely awesome! I've been watching your channel for about a year, and I am constantly amazed by your energy, knowledge and ingenuity, and how much you're able to accomplish on a daily basis around your homestead. Kevin, is there anything that you cannot do yourself? I know that I haven't seen all of your shows within this past year, but perhaps setting up electricity for your nursery house, and making provisions for water source for the cows away from the barn area (I think this happened Lol) might be the only things (other than help from a vet for the animals as needed) might be the only times when you've had to rely on the expertise of others. You're also a terrific asset with your kitchen skills, and your willingness and desire to help Sarah with household duties. You're smart and thorough, and I hope lots of men are taking notes from you! And Sarah, you are so much more than a great wife, wonderful mother, and help mate and second set of hands to Kevin, with the multitude of both ongoing and new projects around your farm and home. You don't hesitate to jump right in and handle things, some of which I've never seen a woman do. You (pretty much literally) take the bull by the horns and attack anything that presents itself during the course of your day. (You've even showed us how to cut and color our own hair during a pandemic!) You are such an awesome role model for your girls, as you lead by example. You guys make such a great team, and you do an amazing job on an ongoing basis. And on top of all of this, you're a wonderful testimony to the world by sharing the love and respect you have for God, each other, your children, and even your animals. Please keep doing what you do, and sharing your experiences with us!

I read down through several of the posts and I thought the "Sprout House" struck me as a good name also. I'm so glad you all thought of this. I have to figure out where I'm going to start mine this year. It will be my first year and I'm thinking in my basement. I have LED lights hung down there already for sewing. I put all my sewing away during the spring and summer and only quilt during the fall and winter. I have a dehumidifier down there also to protect my material. Stay safe, stay well. God bless.

I like both 'Sprout House' and 'Propagation Station' ( Palace sounds too uppity for a farm). But; for me personally, ' Planty Shanty' is great, it makes me laugh, and sounds so fun. I'd be using the place as a 'Hen Den' for me to escape to as well, so the Planty Shanty would fit just right.

There’s so many names I.e. Germination Station, Seed Shed, Plant Place and so on. I suggest you use fans so that the stems of the new seedlings become stronger and to allow better aeration in the shed. Looks very nice. I would love something like that.

GERMINATION STATION is my favorite suggestion so far! And, I second the recommendation for the fan/fans-they don't have to be massive, just gentle stirring of the air. Will also reduce the risk of fungus gnats, my personal emesis.

Oh my word! This is so cool. My husband built a huge shed in our backyard and it has been sitting since it was built only storing the tools used to build it and the leftover materials 🤦‍♀️😅😬. I might need to get a grow light or 2 and put it to good use for starting my seeds this year!

I love your new addition, possibly 🌱 Seed Shed, Seed Harvest, Seeds Home Grown, Sprouts, Seed House 🌱 Your parents will enjoy even more the noise and excitement of family together, feeling more useful in helping where they can. Eating together, talking and sharing your day will be such a blessing. God is Good!! I love your new place! I'm sharing both this video, your planned 2021 garden seed list and a bit more on FB. I LOVE YOU BOTH AND YOUR CHANNEL. Sandy of Highland, Arkansas.

Now that you wont have the seedlings to watch in the house, I predict you will take recurrent trips to your little house to see how they are growing. That’s what gardeners do. 😀♥️🌺 We LOVE seeing our seeds germinate and grow. 😇

Just wanna say I've really enjoyed your videos over the years. Even though that lifestyle is light-years from my comfort zone it's fun to see how the other half lives. You're both adorable and sweet and really hard workers. You have a beautiful family and a beautiful homestead. It's likely we're on opposite ends of the political spectrum but that wouldn't dampen my enjoyment of peeking in on your very interesting life together. Best of luck going forward and all the best!
