Jo is the best, she represents the beaten and abused women, I love how her character developed.

When I had to undergo a rape test I was so scared, embarrassed, and ashamed. I will always be grateful to the nurses that held my hand and assured me none of it was my fault.

Of every single episode I can say this is the most heartfelt and meaningful one. Remember back in the day when we had to watch those tapes in class, this is it. This should be something everyone sees (upperclassmen in high school of course)

This is one of the toughest episode to watch, it triggers in so many ways. I hope all survivors can overcome and have the strength to continue. It will never be the same, but you are a survivor and deserve so many good things.

I won't lie- this is so powerful... And I find it so sad that I sit here thinking...- "We should be taught this in detail at schools." We should be taught that rape, no matter your age or sex, or gender or race, or effing Clothing is your fault. That's why it's called 'rape'. You weren't 'asking for it' because of what you were wearing unless you genuinely whole-hearted and soberly said "Yes. I want that."
I've had to learn my sex ed lessons from youtube outside of school and thats bad enough without people not preparing young women for the world of harassment that waits for them at home, in the real world, anywhere. Without not teaching them about Rape, and sexual consent, and victim blaming and racism and sexual assault. It's not "embarrassing" to teach. Its *necessary*. I mean seriously, dont dance around it because it's tricky. Do your research and get into the nitty gritty, of how women can protect themselves from harassers and predators because they will do anything to trap you. Teach self defense in classes instead of the occasional basketball lesson for the girls in P.E.

As I sit here in tears thinking how I couldn’t imagine not waiting my husband by my side…I thought to myself how I couldn’t even imagine what’s going on for them not to want to…and here came the flood of tears

This is such a tough situation. But on top of that: Her fear of her husband knowing... Why is she so afraid? Is she worried he wouldn't understand? That he would blame her for what has happened?

I sometimes wonder how long jo was married to paul.... 4 maybe 5 years....when she run away from him she still need some time for herself I guess

I always wonder if Jo was ever Paul’s Student like he told others. She was an Intern When she met Alex and the rest of them but it may be possible that She had to start her medical career over when she changed Names but I don’t think she did so I guess Paul was lying

@@Wyattherrold okey but how lying? Sorry it hurt for me to understand the aspect of that I'm from Poland 😉

I assume they met in college, because when Jo told DeLuca about him she said she was still living in her car when she met him. And since she's always talking about living in her car in high school, I assume she spent most of college living in her car. Also she says she knew Link in undergrad, and Link knew Paul, so again, likely they met in college.
What kind of confuses me though is that where she went to college and where she went to medical school is sort of far away from each other. Maybe he moved with her? If so, it seems likely he started teaching at Harvard, and she could have easily taken one of his classes.
And also it seems a bit convenient that she decided to get out right as she finished medical school. So my guess is there is some time in between those. Maybe she started a different specialty? Or was a stay at home wife for a bit?

I hated this episode, not because it disturbed me but because it was just so annoying…yes I know it’s a sad thing to happen but we already had a few episodes on it already with Joe, I don’t need to see more
