Yo I dig it how you actually show the climb sped up, what most UA-camrs fail to do. It give a more acurrate perspective of what everyday mt biking is about.
Yeah a lot of channels just take you to the top and not show the work you have to put in. For me, especially with a focus on the trail guide aspect, it’s important to show everything or at least make a point of the climb itself. This can make the difference on some people being able to complete the ride or wasting their time. Thanks for noticing Elijah.
Ok, opening this vid with one of Ian MacKaye's legendary anthems to punk made me want to ride right fucking now. "I am a patient boy.....I wait I wait I wait...."
Thanks for all the videos. Planning on going out that way . Helps a lot the way you do your videos where to park and start and describing when and where to turn .Hopefully soon i can make it out there . Well appreciated Thanks Bro
I rode up there a month ago was gonna try Missing Link but thought better of it. I ride a hardtail and thought it wouldn't be that fun for me. Good call on not doing Elevator. When I first went there, I was riding back to the car and I had choice of Elevator and Slow N Easy. I went on Trailforks or MTB Project to see which was easiest. Obviously I picked a wrong choice and took Elevator. I remember hike a bike up a steep climb and towards the end of the trail it's rocky. It looks more like a downhill primary trail to me. Love the channel! Thanks to you Fullerton Loop is my favorite trail for a still newbie rider like me!
Just found your channel a couple of days ago and have watched most of your videos. Really well done trail guides, concise and informative. It’s cool seeing some of the trails I’ve ridden too. Keep it up!
Nice guide. Looks like a cool area to ride and I added it to my ever growing list! Add some more music to the edit and its 10 out of 10 in my book. Quick question: Do you ever ride with other people or are you choosing to keep this (solo) format for your trail guide videos? We are all starting to think that you have no friends!?! LOL kidding man. Keep the vids coming and a sincere thanks for the time and energy that you are putting in.
Always appreciate the feedback bud. I get a lot of feedback on the music. Some want less music and more trail sounds and some want more music. I need to find that balance for sure. As for friends..hahah. When I make the guides in the format I do, it's just easier to do it solo, so i can make sure to pay attention to trail names and advice while I'm out there. It helps me focus on the video without distractions. Having a bud coming along puts me into just a straight up riding day, which I usually do when I'm not filming. But, I'm working on some ideas to switch things up a little to add people to some rides in the future. Stay tuned.. And thanks!
@@TheOutsiderMTB Thanks for the reply. Well, when we finally get to ride, I'm strapping a camera on and following your ass so that your followers can finally get to see you ride! Lol That is the only thing I hate about MTB channels on UA-cam, the standard cockpit POV. I (and I think most viewers) love the follow cam. This gives the viewer a feel for riding the trail AND allows them to see someone ride the trail at the same time. Either way, you are doing a great job and should hit 5k subs within a year.
Appreciation station! Always use that now when theres climbing involved always did admire views mainly for breaks on climbs... But now it has a name lol great videos man!
I need to try rattlesnake trail again, only time i tried it there was a trail run race trough there. Check it out, ua-cam.com/video/YMxqj6GCgF8/v-deo.html Old Emerald ua-cam.com/video/AegUD0-LitU/v-deo.html That exact sot got me too! haha
Man that trail looks so different with some green! Can't wait for the rain that's coming. The trail run is sketchy while heading down too. Crazy timing - Haha...
@@TheOutsiderMTB yeah it was even overgrown and was wondering if it even was a trail at the time haha, definitely lost my flow due to the runners, need to try it again but that climb at the end is always making me think. The cold will helps tough. Ill let you know when I go if you want to join!
Nice ride and nice trails but with so many nopales (cactus) looks a little scare now I know why you scream "stay away", greetings from Ensenada, Baja California México. Like someone said "It's your world ride it", upps that´s slogan from Bicycle Warehouse sorry.
Thanks! I'm using a GOPro Hero 4 mounted in an EVO SS Gimbal on my chest. For settings I'm running in 4k superview with gopro color turned on. I also to some color correction when I'm editing. Hope that helps!
thank you for this guide, do you think you can bring back the color coding for the trails again, been real helpful.
Sure thing!
Legend says tony still does not know how that guy is doing.
Haha
The Strava link is for another trail....
Here you go - sorry about that:www.strava.com/activities/1968522593

Rode rattlesnake on my xc 29er and did not have the best of times haha. Old E and E falls etc are awesome.
It’s definitely not for everybody. And agreed. Emerald Falls is always fun to throw into a loop.
