It’s really inspiring to see you shredding with your kids man! My son just turned 5, and I am doing my best to let him come into his own, but I am stoked to be able to share moments like this with him as his coordination increases and he learns more and more. Being a Father is a rad job and experience, every day I am in awe of this little human growing, learning and experiencing. I am building my first MTB at the moment and looking forward to hitting some trails, Ogden Bike Park is like 10 mins away from me. 🤘
That's great to hear, being a dad is the best. They grow so fast too, I'm always trying to make the most of every minute with the kids!! I've heard Ogden Bike Park is great, I'll have to go ride there someday!
Favorite part @4:45 “I have the biggest smile on my face … watching you interpret and slay this trail” … I really hope my kid progress and get into MTB to share moments like that. This video was nostalgic seeing Some of the places of my youth.
Trials, trails, amazing riding and #dadgoals all in one, this is peak biking right here! Even had a cameo from @Super Rider in there. Looks like Milo had fun riding at the shred spot and then continued to hit every little feature he spotted whether it was on a trail or not! Stoked!!!
Yes!!! Such a fun trip, glad you enjoyed watching it! Milo is definitely psyched to get a bit more into trials, we'll have to go back for more with Super Rider!
Man, I started watching your channel for the biking but keep coming back for the “dad” content (and still biking of course) makes me stoked to keep riding with my son and daughter and excited to see how they progress. Love it, keep it up!
Hey Eric, what an amazing opportunity for you to spend such quality time with your son. I don't get enough opportunities to spend time with my sons and watching you do this just inspires me to try find more time to do the same. Kudos to you as dad and thanx for sharing these awesome rides with us.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! It's hard to make a living and do everything you have to as well as spend enough time with the kids, I feel that way too. All we can do is try our best to make it happen, they grow up fast!
Parenting: done right! What’s great is that you don’t need to be an mtb pro, you just need to share your love of the sport with your kids. And if they’re not into it, find something they love to bond through. I have one son who is all about mtb. The other, not so much. But he loves backpacking so that’s our thing. Keep up the good work Eric!
Next time you guys come to Oregon you have to ride black rock located just outside of falls city Oregon ! You will not regret it, it’s my favorite mtb spot!
I often grin ear to ear when following my boys on mtb or moto single track. Awesome to watch them progress and use their creativity! Strong work brother.
Great video. I'm from the PNW and just relocated to SLC. It's fun to see the trails (and crazy weather patterns) that I rode for years through your guys eye. Post and Sandy are 2 of the best places to ride and never disappoint.
Came here on the recommendation of Super Rider and was not disappointed. Awesome riding and super cool to see you having such a good time riding with your son.
You have inspired Me so much to where me and my friends built real big trails and pump tracks all throughout our neighborhood I just learn my first tail, whip and help. My first diamondback you are really inspiring
Really cool video and really cool adventure in all. I really like how you support your kids on their mtb journey and how you are always so happy and positive 😊
If you guys ever find yourselves in southern Oregon I would love to show you guys around the awesome trails we have in mt Ashland, grants pass, or even mt shasta in far NorCal where I reside. Cheers 🤙
Love this. There is also a city bus that’ll pick you and your bike up from sandy and take you to government camp on hood. The single track all the way back. Nice $2 dollar shuttle
I live in Oregon and I'm so glad you liked it! When you come back you should definitely check out some of the trails and resorts in Bend Oregon. Also Idaho is one of my favorite places to mountain bike! I think you should do a trip their too!
'Gotta ride wheelies on bridges when you can' Last time I was riding on a bridge I tried that, and messed up my foot when looping out and I bailed at a weird angle and had a hard impact - on a completely flat bridge and flat trail. One day I'll get wheelies. Great video and loved seeing you out there with your son.
Nooooo!! If it makes you feel any better, I hopped on a friend's bike the other day who is from Australia, they run their brakes moto style so front brake on the right hand, I popped a wheelie not knowing this and looped out straight to my tailbone in a crowded parking lot!!
Post canyon is amazing. I live one town over and I know it like the back of my hand. I'm there at least twice a week. Come on back and I'll show you around!
Wow Oregon looks fantastic I love the Mountain Bike trails they look sick. And the nice looking views of the mountains etc . Makes me want to go travelling and take my mountain bike to check out these trails but I don’t think you are aloud to take E mountain bikes on the Plane. Looking forward to watching your next video
It's so weird seeing you ride trails in my area. Post Canyon is a sick place especially for shuttling. I've done it plenty of times. Also, that mountain at 4:12 is probably Adams. It's 12,278 ft. You can climb it and snowboard down from the summit. I've summited but have yet to snowboard there. The PNW is awesome.
Great video! We live in the Portland area and have ridden all those places except Oakridge. We are also scheduled for a session with coach Robbie soon! We met him at some food trucks and he saw my son's Berm Peak shirt and handed us his card. Thanks!! So many great places to ride, we need so much more time in Oregon! If you go to Oakridge, try to get a shuttle from Trans Cascadia or someone, the rides there are big and the climbs would be really long, it's amazing though!! We'll definitely look out for Ruby Jewel next time too!
Whew!! So glad to see your still with Diamondback! In light of recent announcements I was worried. What an awesome trip! Milo looks to be about the same age as my youngest boy who has yet to fully embrace my passion for disappearing into the woods on bikes. The few times we have though are some of my most valuable memories. Great video!!

Ah man Eric, you guys are inspiring. Milo is getting to be quite the ripper! I wish my son had the fire to start sending jumps like Milo (and yeah, like I did when I was younger) but I also recognize he has to live his own life and be his own person with his own passions (although he can definitely rip down hill when he wants to!). Eh, I can't complain though. He did in fact send a gigantic gap well before I did a few months ago so maybe it's a latent gene 😀
Thanks! Haha yeah you never know with the kids, I just try to create good times and support what they are into, that's awesome your son is hitting gaps now!
Awesome riding by you and Milo. He has really improved. I have a cousin that lives in Bend. I need to get out to see him. It’s a long way there from south Georgia. 😂
That's awesome, thanks! I'd say just keep riding, try to get a little better or learn something new every time, slow and steady progression is better and safer than going crazy and sending it!
