i know the video is 3 yrs old .The butterflies sprinklers work great. You should look at impact sprinklers (rainbird) they cover a larger area around your structures. when mounted high like on the roof or on the gable ends. do a search for structure protection units . I am a firefighter and do structure protection
Nice work. Seems like a 10,000 gallon water tank with a battery powered strong pump and a powerful circular sprinkler on roof with heat detection startup would be the way to go. Spendy to do all that thouugh. If there could be a sensor that picks up over 130 degrees or something then they kick on to not use the water source too early
How are things going for you? I'm building something similar for my house. We have been lucky so far, but too close for comfort for me. We're in Oregon as well (southern).
I'm in SoO also. The Slater fire. OK so far for me. Some friends have had close calls but are also OK. We've had an inversion so far, but it's lifting, so things may change. Stay safe yourself.

Thanks, I'll look into it.
Fuel removal is just a start. About half of homes burn (far from fire front) from embers getting in. So seal/screen all vents/ slots/holes.
Good point. I'll look around for that kind of thing tomorrow. Thanks!

That's a good idea.

Good job, man. It's a tinderbox out there.
Thanks. Stay safe yourself.
