For anyone wondering, it costs $900 for the 11900KB, 32GB DDR4 & 1TB SSD.
I'm pretty sure you can get a 13700k (with an AiO cooler), 32GB DDR5, 1TB SSD and a PSU with a larger capacity in a small mini-ITX case for about that price (or maybe a little bit more).
On the AMD side you could get a 7800x3D system for around that price.
7800x3d is still $360 atm. It's a no-brainer at that price.
You're paying for form factor here - this is tinier than a mini-itx.
Unfortunately tiny form factors most of the times are too expsnive to consider
@@StevenSarver It's not as small as you'd think - just under 13L, the Fractal terra is 10.4L and the FormD T1 is 9.95L. The latter can fit a 4090 and a 240mm radiator
I just built myself a 13600K minii pc with 120mm water coolling, 32GB DDR4 3600, 2TB PCE 4 SSD, 650W used EVGA sfx psu, Aliexpress Erying B760i motherboard, ZOTAC 4070 GPU in an Aliexpress 12l mini itx case. I made my own plexi side panel so a I can fix my 120mm radiator. It was 1350 USD, brand new stuff except the power supply.
Definitely sad about the NUC extreme line, but I would definitely rock a nice little system like this.
DAMN, THAT 7800 XT IS REALLY COOL
Wish they had made those Nuc Elements with the fans in the other side so that it doesn't get covered by the back of the GPU backplate. This was such a cool concept...
This looks really cool, I can travel with this
I just built a 7900x 7800xt mini PC and it's SO BADASS!
What case did you build it in
This is fine for people living in remote areas who need something powerfull and arnt accessing newer components on the fly as a city guy i just cant see myself using this when i can build a newer computer competitively and using itx or matx
hope will be tests with nvidia thanks for your content man!
This is one crazy mini PC....
Currently running an Intel NUC Beast canyon i7 with an Msi Dual RTX 4070. I love the form factor and it makes me happy to see something similar from other vendors.
Playing Tower of Fantasy @1440p fully maxed out and seeing 212fps.
I almost choked when read tower of fantasy. Just why...
Temps are impressive for such a case !
insane dude 🙌
I think it's important to note that no PSU has 100% efficiency. The 500W can theoretically deliver 500W to the computer components, but realistically the max will be lower depending on the quality of the PSU. The total system power consumption was already over 450W...that is too close regardless of how efficient that PSU is. I'd say this setup has a lifespan of about a few years before burning out.
I know that when speccing a psu for a daily build it's best to choose one that will run near its efficiency sweetspot while under full load so around 50%. When it comes to how many watts a psu can provide tho I've always been able to deliver about 20% above the wattage rating. Usually overcurrent protection kicks in at around + 30%. I've tested this on quite a few psu's. Superflower 650 and 850 Gold ( same as the Rosewill Capstone series ) EVGA gold and platinum 1000w, 1200w and 1300w, Seasonic 1050 gold and 1200w plat and 2 Corsair AX1200i's platinum
@gtijason7853 I'll take your word, but I'd personally never run a PSU in a system that consumes more wattage than it's rated for. You never know when you'll meet the PSU that doesn’t exceed expectations...that discovery could prove costly.
Sweet little machine! And a great review as always. Can it run Microsoft Flight Sim 2020-2024? Thanks!😎
Oh I remember Gamers Nexus video on the NUC 11 extreme. The original had major issues with heat and throttling and as a result you couldn't get the performance you expected from the system.
I'd take a minisforum Neptune 99G with the 6600m over this. It regularly goes for around the same price
I own the HX99G, it's not disappointed, it's as advertised, got the 1tb 64gb version for extra funsies.
My favourite mini PC. Plays everything I throw at it and the size is amazing.
It's a moot point, not everyone constrained themselves on a fixed spec and running it down until it crawls under shittin out
@@baoquoc3710 That's true but if you were considering upgradability I'd still go with something like a custom miniITX build as you'd come out with something with much better specs for roughly the same money factoring adding a GPU.
You’d be paying for a laptop GPU equivalent. This is better for real GPU power
Ahh yes, soon we will finally be able to have a PC inside of the GPU and the meme can be complete.
I would love to see a comparison of performance with and without the discrete graphics card.
i would consider buying this. maybe with a 4070. all that you need 😊
The RTX 4070 Super comes out in January. I would wait on that card and see how it affects current prices. Also, if you watch in this video, most of the games he's CPU bound. Look at the GPU utilization. With the exception of Tomb Raider, and Forza, it's hover between 50-75% in most titles. Either it's the PSW, or that 11900 can't delivery enough draw calls to the 7800XT to take advantage of it. Anywho, I was going to get the RTX 4070 until I saw reviews for the 7800XT. I Checked on Tech Power Up, they have a system that can take advantage of the 7800XT. Numbers look a lot better. Now I was going to get the 7800XT, cheaper and faster, but in two months the RTX 4070 Super comes out. So, I'm waiting, I think I can squeeze a couple of more uses out of my GTX 1080 TI before it dies for good.
i like the size , this is still a very small computer better thermals and gpu support can the power supply be replaced with a 750 W?
I’m in. The uk. , really want this
That's a great small form factor power house PC! How about the temperatures after longer gaming? Otherwise added it to my favourite list.
From my experience GPU temp (4060 ti) never exceeds 55°C. During intense gaming the CPU can get up to around 73°C. Haven't had too many problems yet.
You need to run comparisons with other mini “gaming setups”
A super small motherboard like this needs a MonoBlock 😄
Epic mini pc
Ugh it's a bummer to see the graphics card so close to the side panel with how they've designed this. Would be curious to see how thermals change with mesh.
I don't even think he tested with panel on, GPU temp seems to good to be true! Simply NO air flow, even on NRP200 MAX you don't get those temps with glass panel
Just remove the side panel then?
Why does this video only have 3 thumbs up's.!?!
Please do tab S9 fe and fe+ review ❤️
I just want the case…..Cannot seem to find it standalone though
Do an emulation showcase/test on this
I asked myself do I really need to game in 4k or will 1440p do. Just give me. Mini PC like MinisForum HN 2673 and I'm good but I can hardly wait for Ryzen to drop their new chips with graphis next year.
Will they be making an AMD Ryzen model?
There's the glass side panel but does the panel on the other side also pop off?
Because when (not if) the thermal paste dries up on the CPU/MoBo connection ( a few years later) - it's going to be a real pain in the ass having to disassemble/remove all the cabling connections and MoBo (and then having to re-assemble, do all the cable layout mgmt - with all the zip-tying - again and re-install the MoBo) just to get at those four big screws behind the MoBo to pop-off the CPU block. The symptom for that would be that after you turn on the PC and log onto your desktop - the system instantly shuts off - because of an over-heated CPU. If the other panel doesn't pop off - that future pain in the ass event - is what's also being purchased with this.
That cpu is holding the 7800xt back. What would be cool is this element nuc design with a 65 watt 7800x3d on it instead. It would be a monster and run nice and cool. That would be a bad ass little system then.
Yes, I'm looking at the utilization at 60% and he's talking about I expected more out of this graphics card. Or Starfield hitting the GPU when the CPU was sitting at 84% utilization, and only 64% utilization on the 7800XT. Forza Motor Sport, same thing, 60% utilization, and Cyberpunk had the same problem. It's either CPU or the power supply, or both.
yeah, that CPU is trash for this tier of GPU at 1440p
Yeah, 11th gen rocket lake is so bad they should be paying us to take that e-waste off their hands
All the games that he had problems running (except spiderman), the gpu isn't even running full utilization. There is something wrong but I am not sure if it is with the gpu there.
Please test rog flow x 13 ryzen 9 rx and GTX version in 2023 with both windows and linux gaming. thank you❤️👍
That's not a desktop cpu part. I have that nuc element, and it's actually an 11980hx that's been kicked up to 65w.
Can i just buy the case so i dont have to spend the extra 5-700 bucks on helping them clear out unsold old hardware? i like these mini pc cases that are being sold with systems but i literally only want the case.
can You let me know the dimensions of this Mini PC in inches . so i can measure my space setup
Basicaly, a Nuc 11 extreme în a new design box but with a less powerful PSU (was 650W on the Nuc 11 extreme).
While I do not mind an older cpu for gaming purposes and even ddr4 with only 3200 mhz, psu for 500 w is a disappointment :(( but I very much like the case and the form factor
currently gaming on a 9700f just fine dude. sure my pc doesnt get 600 fps on modern games but anything above 30 is playable. talking about ppl chasing rainbows and unicorns lmao
It's Ok but for a grand, I think that the age of the CPU, even if highly competent, will play on the minds of prospective purchasers.
@9:30 Starfield is CPU bound, your 7800XT utilization is only 64-76% while the CPU is at 84%.
Check your configuration, if you watch your GPU utilization in Forza for example, it's only 48-65%. Doom Eternal GPU utilization is only 60-70%. Your configuration is leaving a third the 7800XT on the table. Tomb Raider hits 90 plus %, same with Forza Horizon. Your Cyberpunk benchmarks, GPU is only at 65% while the CPU is 70%.
how to say it, any game today that doent ship with ( sfs + mesh shading + direct storage) all 3 isn't optimized point blank
Noob here. Does FSR and DLSS diminish image quality?
I like the visual design. It’s as if Asus and Alienware had a baby.
It's a much nicer aesthetic than Alienware. It has a "techy" look but not as gaudy and toyish.
It's a Cougar case
You forgot to add a purchase link.
Hello, good morning, I have a question, I see two m2 slots and my question is, the one that comes from the factory is 1tb, and it says in the specifications that it only supports 2tb, does that mean that when you put a 2tb m2 memory and Wouldn't the one that comes with 1TB be compatible? or if? Thanks in advance
I miss the NUCs
Ehat sucks is the gpu has to be soing x8 hopefully 4x8 so it's like 3x16 at least...either way losing some power..small but still
@etaprime is the small NUC like box with the skull at about 02:40 the actual mini PC inside this larger (rebranded) Geekom casing ?
WHY DOES YOUR GPU LINK TAKE YOU TO DYSON VACUUM CLEANERS?
Um780 xtx mini pc with water cooling with that case?
Thats recommend for Unity Engine or unreal engine usage????
How does it run on the emulation side?
Did anybody have told you that your voice kinda sounds like Frank Zappa?
Shame I am just finding this video now. Looks like this is no longer in production. All the links are dead and the amazon listing shows out of stock.
using a mobile HX CPU would have greatly decreased the cost of the system, alas an impressive beast
kinda sad that you can't put your own mobo in/put a different cpu in
or that no ryzen version is there
Can i fit a 3.5 drive somehow..
Not to be rude but I HIGHLY disagree heavily with your assumptions of the 7800 xt @ 4K performance.
Huh. It's basically a Mini-ITX chassis with a mini-PC inside. Weird.
Your radeon 7800xt link is a link for dyson hoovers
Sad that Intel officially discontinued Intel Nuc .
i got the Intel Nuc Extreme 11900kb as shown here but the case from intel itself...one advanctage is you get an extra m.2 pcie4 extra botton slot....on that one...
BUT i can only fit an 2 slot wide GPU so im now running an 3060ti and its bahhh a bit laggy sometimes at 1440p but it runs fine for what i need it for ...
i went all in to the max ram 64gigs 3200mhz ... as i run vm workstation ...and got 2x 2Tb samsung 980s and 2x 2Tb Gen3 Adata Swordfish... what more do you need right ...
i do think it would be nice ...to be able to buy the box from the video without the Compute element in it ... that ....is something i would buy INSTANTLYYYYY as i also have an other pc with a 3080ti laying around waiting to do something with it ... anyways ...its snappy... it does what it needs to do ... and the 2.5gig lan works nice on my lan with a nas and so ... ja it was a test and now i have been running it for over a year ....putting aside a 5950x gaming 3080ti gaming pc because that one is sooo big and much louder ...
keep in mind ... The INTEL compute you cant realy Tune or overclock it ...its locked pretty hard in my eyes ... so maybe do a video about how you tweak it to get the most out of it ..bios maybe
tnx
What’s the price?
why not with an Ryzen 7700? :(
KB?
feels like we've seen this case before ... anybody know the maker?
is nuc still a thing?
Is this a chinese clone of the Intel NUC 11 Extreme?
respect yourself and wait for rdna5
so basical rdna 4 should have shipped with a shit ton cores but was cut off and will be utilized in rdna 5
Nice design, but thermals are a little too high for my liking.
This, and he needs a better PSU
As an SFF sucker myself I have to give credits to the look and appearance of the case but the rest is a little bit meh… quite toasty and little room to improve which is the limitations of the NUC platform in a way, too much custom hardware.
I heard you like PCs, so we put a PC inside your PC
looks great but 900 seems steep.
Only a 500W PSU and DDR4 RAM is a big L here. If it had DDR5 and a 700W+ PSU for this price, it wouldn't be horrible, but upgrade path is limited, and you can build your own ITC PC for less than this easily.
If you notice GPU usage, it's not fully utilized. There is definitely some CPU bottleneck here.
To be clarify, the 11900kb should be a renamed 11980hk using 10nm superfin (intel7) which even better than desktop 11th gen (14nm+++++++++++++++++). The max peak multi-trend performance may not align with 11900k, but considering temp, and power efficiency I prefer 11th gen mobile CPU, 11800h was my favorite to be honest.
Processor Doesn't take out
Way kool
That CPU is bottlenecking rx 7900xt like a champ😅
damn that CPU is bottlenecking the 7800 XT to hell and back, 63% GPU usage in Doom Eternal & Cyberpunk is CRAZY
the 7800XT basically has hardware scheduler, which means lower driver overhead. But even if the 11900KB can flexes its muscles, it unfortunately hit the headroom of its architecture it can go, while 7800XT can take more cpu grunt than that
Do you have a discord channel?
I've never had any real trust for these mini PCs. And after looking into this one, I see why. Seems like it's for people who like to mindlessly spend their money on gimmicks. A true PC build is an art form, it takes serious time, research and effort to get the perfect build. Don't rush it, don't search for shortcuts or you'll pay the price of regret.
most of builds look like rainbow boxes anyways we rarely see truly art inspired builds. but yea this is a horrible deal
now supports pytorch and rocM
Hide them wires. Oh dear God
Ah, of course - SFFGG
For sure you don't get those GPU temps with the tempered panel! There is no air flow flow for it! You must have mentioned it on your video otherwise seems to be an SCAM
Mite want to start useing other game like warframe for benchmark that game is a heavy hit on pc when in a open would map
Whoah 900 bucks with no graphics card i love watching videos about these but the pricing doesnt make sense biuld your own kids its funner and cheaper
How much it weights
Product page says ~6.5kg. Add your graphics card to that.
@@aaronbrook Ow so it isn't that heavy as weight but money other thing is 900$
When you are saying how its not able to do certain setting, its down the CPU holding back the GPU. GPU usage is lower than 99% in most of your tests at 1440p.
The design somehow looks charmingly tacky
Very good video, Eta Prime 👍
However, may I cordially offer that these modular PCs (see also Khadas Mind) feel quickly obsolete with limited or complex upgrade paths?
Kindest regards, friends and neighbours.
Remember back when Intel only sold current-gen CPUs? And now they routinely sell several-gen-old CPUs. Yet another sign of Intel's decline
You show so many small systems. You have to do a best of. Like a 10 to 1 count down. Way way to confusing going through every review. Thanks
your new mic is a little s'y dunno how to explain it lol sounds meh
I always wondered why anyone would buy these things when they are so overpriced for the specs but this one is actually reasonably priced. >>>Read edit👇🏼
And unlike the majority of minipcs, it actually has an upgradeable GPU which makes it so much more worth it
@@coolunusual
It's an 11th gen Intel chip with ddr4 running at 3200mhz.. who cares if that 3 y/o platform is upgradeable, and the cpu will hold you back before the gpu does
I can tell you why I bought the NUC12 Extreme: I live on an island and getting replacement parts or trying different components is an even more expensive pain.
And while I sometimes wondered if it was still a bad decision, my Dragon Canyon did die after a seemingly successful BIOS update and Intel had it picked up and sent the replacement in five business days. Annoying, but still a whole lot easier and less expensive than it would have been with a custom-built PC.
It is not reasonably priced
No, it is not a reasonable price because it is 900 dollars without the graphics card
A bit of a cpu bottleneck with some of those games.
