    Thank you for explaining how to fix the pin. Should I use this same method when dealing with a pin that is 3/4 of the way out? I tried pushing it back in by hand but it’s not lined up properly.. it’s not going in.🌿

    • @AroundTheHome1
      @AroundTheHome1  2 роки тому

      Jeannine, I know if that pin gets out far, it's hard to get back in. You might even need to loosen the screw underneath a little to help you. Now, of course don't loosen it too much. I would suggest just like one full turn. Then place the motor on your counter upside down. Let your counter do all the heavy lifting for that motor. It should help you enough to get all the holes to line up to push the pin back in then. Let me know if you get this back together right. Good luck.

      It may be the set screw that I show in this video. The pin is not notched out or anything, it is just round. So you may need to loosen the set screw just a little before the pin will go back in. Unless you are just having trouble getting it through the second side. I would put the mixer upside down so that the heave motor head is on a counter top. Then you can move the much lighter base around to get all the holes to line up. Hopefully that helps.

      The pin is literally larger than the hole through which it passes on the motor (top) part of the mixer. It makes no sense, but it's true. The way I fixed this was to put the pin in the freezer overnight and heat up the hole in the top part, and use a hammer to shove it through. It's not fun, but it works.

    This didn’t fix it for me. The pin in mine is perfectly tight, so it doesn’t seem to be the problem. When I adjust the screw, that determines the depth of the paddle attachments, it’ll tighten the lock a little bit, but then my paddle attachments don’t fit properly. It’s almost like I need to replace the whole piece that the lock mechanism grabs onto?

    • @AroundTheHome1
      @AroundTheHome1  Рік тому

      You have the wrong screw then. The screw that I am talking about does not adjust the depth, just holds onto the pin.

    • @AroundTheHome1
      @AroundTheHome1  3 роки тому

      I'll do the best that I can. I have taken the pin all the way out to check to see if it was notched for the screw. It was not, by the way, but I do have experience putting it back in. I am assuming that you are really just having trouble lining up the holes in the mixer head and the mixer stand. With the head being so much heavier then the stand, you need a strong hand to hold it still. So I would suggest to get someone to help you hold it steady so the two can line up. I think that's really all that I can do from here. If you get it all the way in on one side, so that it is in for both the stand and the head and it gets stuck at the halfway then you might loosen the screw in this video just a hair. I am not suggesting to start with that because you might unscrew it all the way and it would fall out. Then you would have to deal with that too. If the pin fell all the way out, then the screw should be loose enough already anyways. Hopefully that helps.

      Mine did, too. I turned it over and positioned it so the arm was tilted all the way back before I could get the pin to line up correctly. I unscrewed the screw up a little bit just in case that would block it, but I'm not sure if that's totally necessary.

    • @AroundTheHome1
      @AroundTheHome1  2 роки тому

      Yes, I have had some people ask that. I might need to make a video addressing that as well. I suggest to loosen the screw up just a little more, being careful not to unscrew it all the way. Then lay it completely upside down on the counter so that the heavy head weight is being supported. That way you should be able to get the base aligned well enough to get the pin back in. Good luck.

    My pin came all the way out. Is there a fix for it ?

    • @AroundTheHome1
      @AroundTheHome1  3 роки тому

      Yes, stick it back in. Ok, seriously though. Lay the head of the unit on the counter and roll it so it is upside down. The head is very heavy so you need to let the counter do all the holding of it. Then you can maneuver the base into place and line up the holes. You may need to loosen the screw a little, but really just a little. We don't want that to fall out too. Just one turn to the left should do it. Maybe even just a half a turn. You may need to wiggle the base a little as you try to insert the pin, but it will go back in just fine. Good luck. So glad to help! Thank you for watching. Yes it will. Actually I knocked my pin all the way out just 2 days ago because someone asked if there was a notch in it. I didn't think so, but I wanted to be sure before I said so. You will have to wiggle the head and base a little so the pin will go back in, but after that tighten up that screw and you should be good to go. Thank you for watching. • @andrewfinnegan7539
      @andrewfinnegan7539 3 роки тому

      Try adjusting the stopper screw. You’ll find it by unlocking the mixer head and tilt all the way back. Inside the hinge, you’ll see a large flat-head screw. (Don’t be tempted to screw it all the way in, it’s job is to adjust the mixer head forward and back). Adjust the screw and keep testing the closed mixer head until the head sits parallel to your table and doesn’t wobble. You may need to loosen it for the desired result.
