True! Yet, is it for the ‘greater good’ to kill the innocent people and children, and then be part of the govt cover up!?? Should the Govts be participating in the assassinations?? Why not just arrest!? Often the various govt secret security orgs in the different countries were and are guilty of doing the unthinkable! Many innocent paid the price! Seems like a non-brainer!
This was the same problem faced when the British broke the enigma code. The government decided which attacks to "know" about and those to become "unknown" in order to tread the line of the nazis not knowing they had cracked the enigma. In war there are difficult decisions. Wouldn't want to be in their situation
I do hope there is more, I read that there had only been two series, but they have shown what an excellent actress, Pauline Collins is, what a pity only two series. Every episode has been written to the highest standard.
Witches Hats & Traffic Cones are stackable...so HOLLOW and BASELESS. Even if you somehow found one with a totally solid base (highly unlikely) the base easily come apart from the cone section.....bit clumsy.
I wish they made main characters to be more cynical and grown up. To see an ambassador unwilling to make a difficult (and unethical) decision looks hypocritical
Call me a hypocrite as I will continue to watch, however this is pretty bad. I know it’s approximately 30 years old but I like films from the 50’s more than this. I can’t put my finger on it but it just doesn’t work. It certainly hasn’t stood the test of time. Sadly, I don’t think Pauline Collins is strong enough and therefore let’s down the whole cast. The stories are ok but the cheesy lines and wooden acting is really off. I watch in hope that something will gel with time. There should be enough juicy stories to get lost in the action, but it really doesn’t work for me. Pauline is too plain and forgettable in this role. It needs someone like Helen Mirren or Dame Judy. Pauline would make a passable cook or maid.
