The ambassador did nothing shady, It was not her place to pass on the status of the baby. The only valid obligation was to tell the father the baby that the mother was in hospital.
Very sensitive situation as the father has rights also . Her reason for a paying job when she can have it once the child is born , well think it will not sticknin courts . Also tge family would raise the child if she didn't want . Better than a prison sentence. Third she will be happy later on in her adult years . Not many women ever forget the act
Wow, 20 years after this show aired (1998) did abortion finally become legal in 2018. From Wikipedia "Abortion in Ireland is regulated by the Health (Regulation of Termination of Pregnancy) Act 2018. Abortion is permitted in Ireland during the first twelve weeks of pregnancy, and later in cases where the pregnant woman's life or health is at risk, or in the cases of a fatal foetal abnormality. Abortion services commenced on 1 January 2019, following its legalisation by the aforementioned Act, which became law on 20 December 2018."
Not a cop out really. The downside of abortion was explored in Catherine's choice. Zoe made her choice when freed from the emotional and manipulative parents.
That’s just what this delicate topic on abortion is all about. There is always a 50/50 chance of making the right choice but in the end the mother can only choose in favour of the baby’s and her future.
Yes but they can't fight, can they? I watched a few minutes of this episode and cannot go on. The British ambassador and her staff are all smug, eager to deny the most basic right of all, the right to life. That this is portrayed as noble is beyond sad.
That girl is selfish and controlling !! . The guys family would raise the baby . She has no right to torture and murder a life unneccessarily like its nothing
Arrest the boy for underage sex as the age of consent in Ireland is 17. His mother talks about Zoe's responsibility - where's her son taking responsibility for what he's done and her for making sure that her friend's daughter was ok.
I don’t think I am going to be able to watch this. She should have quietly gone and had the abortion and then said she had a miscarriage. Jeez. I will never understand why there is always so much controversy over whether a woman feels she is ready to have a baby or not.
I am thoroughly enjoying this series but this particular subject was poorly written and evidently by a man. A sixteen-year-old girl is sent to Ireland to be looked after by a friend whose son takes advantage and knocks her up but no blame falls on him!.
How about the point where a 16 year old is getting pregnant is sexualy criminal act. In any normal western or christian country you have to be at least 18. The young man is the one which should had been inprisoned. The parents procecuted for neglectance of taking care of a child under their care, including sexual abuse with a minor.
@@rodkennett5361 I know this - but I responded to the statement: In any normal western or christian country you have to be at least 18. And in France the age of consent is 15. I wonder where these 'normal' countries are?😉
Yet again this extraordinary series will exceed all expectations. This episode does it.
Darn! I knew the writers would cop out in the end. They always do when it comes to this subject.
Another triumph for truth which could never have appeared on American TV. THANK YOU!
Apparently you have not watched the real good ones , no topics were left unturned
Another great episode. Thanks for uploading and as before, keep them coming. ♥
Thank you for posting another episode
I love the music and story lines! May this series never end! 😊
Thanks for posting this wonderful series!

It was a struggle to get to him as his parents and the pro lifers and even the ambassador s assistant all have their agendas.
Oh ye fount of all knowledge..put a plug in it
Thank you SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much!!!
Very touching examination of a profound situation facing women...
. . . men are involved too you know.
Fantastic series, thank you for uploading.
She shouldn't have told anyone. Just gone
Agree , saying nothing would be the better choice 🤫
Then there would have been no story
@@stephaniegarrett3246 Lol 🤣
Amen. HER choice! Don't tell the doofus anything.
That part was realistic about a 16 yr old foreigner in a religious nut country that Ireland used to be.
Such a difficult situation but resolved fantastically. Love this episode 👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
An excellent episode. Worth the watch!
I love to have my heart softened
Another absorbing drama. Love this series.
Excellent as usual
Great as always❤❤❤❤❤❤
A Big Thankyou.

TY TY RD 👍👍❤❤🙏🙏
I am so sorry there were no further seasons. I enjoyed this

The soundtrack sounds like Lewis.

Thank you so much 🎉 how Many series? In this show?

Abortion is not a contraceptive, close your f......g legs, take the pill or abstain. Abortion is if the mother's life is in danger.
Is it not time for a new edition of Ambasodor?
they just could not resist moralising by ending with Zoe changing her mind.

Moralising😂😂, killing a child in the womb is murder, like it or not.
@@teresabarbieri3894 Correct.
Shawn was a weak-willed wimp. Made a lousy father. No financial support.
Is there 6 episodes for season 2?
The poor unborn babies. They have to "fight" for their right to live.

A good idea but the plots seem to get weaker as it goes on. No wonder it didn’t get a third series.

B
It takes two to tango yet no mention of marriage, responsibility or financial support from the little shit that got her pregnant in the first place?
so, rereleasing season one labeled season two. okaaaaaaay.
I really think it is Season 2.
@@Picklesnot-co3k if it is it was previously uploaded with a season one label
What's with the damn commercials...just like t.v...it's only gonna get worse...I'm done with u tube
Get utube premium no adds😊
I don't think the redhead is qualified to work at an embassy. Maybe a hotdog stand?
Lol 😅🤣
That's not very nice.
Absolute rubbish. The UK embassy would have her in Belfast within hours.
You mean London, don't you?
The scene at 14:30 is really turning me off this series.
What do you mean?
As in - 'no sex please - we're British'?
