I AM DECEASED
You sure have got that right, you are all finally admitting to it!!!!
??
I'll die from old age trying to read all that.
whoa... 379 dishes were served?? really
come on :)
hhahhahah so funny bro omg hahahhah lollol im dying hahahha!!!!

@jennifer how did you take that as hating Donald Trump? Brainwashed leftist donut. Democrats are so annoying.
He's actually quite nice. You can see it in how he treats the waiting staff.
I think he should be quite decent given he basically came from nothing.
Just watch the uk version of this show. Or shows involving kids.
He knows what creates ratings but is nice.
The persona you see on TV is basically exaggerated. People that meet him often have very nice things to say about him.
Judge him instead by how he treats his own employees. He should be in jail.
It's not their fault, he yells at owners because they're in charge and chefs cook the food, wait staff have nothing to do with food quality
I'm so happy new content by Gordon to binge watch.
I accidentally watched the abl channel last night and thought it was on. I forgot it was on Fox. At least I got to experience the UK version of KN for the first time on TV. 👍

The juxtaposition of him correcting coq au vin and then butchering gyro is chef's kiss perfection
In many different parts of the world the correct way to say gyro is different. If you always say the traditional way you could sound pretentious
if you’re in astoria queens you call it a “yeero” 🤷🏻♀️
@@ineedacoffeeeevery greek I know in Astoria calls it a “ji-roh” 🤷♀️
@@bertrandmediait's yeeroh in Greece, everything else is wrong . Source :I'm Greek
@@marys.8379 i know, but he isn’t in Greece. if the local diaspora pronounces it “wrong” that doesn’t mean it’s an invalid pronunciation it just means language did what it always does and evolved/adapted to another region of the world. the Greek Americans here probably started calling it ji-roh because non-Greeks couldn’t pronounce it correctly and over a long enough span of time it just became accepted. I’ve even heard them say ji-roh while speaking Greek.
It’s so surreal how much has changed and how much has stayed the same since the original Kitchen Nightmares. I like that they’ve kept the peppy background music and calmed down the dramatic sound effects, it’s a good medium between the dead silent UK way and the comically obtuse US execution. The camerawork also gave me a jolt, it’s trippy going from the home movie-style shots to something that resembles what you’d see coming from an actual cinema.
The best way is what you call the dead silent UK way. I want to hear what the people are saying. I don't want to hear music at the same time. If I wanted to hear music, I'd have played some music, not this video.
My god, Gordon sure started well by going to a restaurant with 300 menus items. 🤣
It's a NYC diner
@@melissadurante1450 That doesn't explain anything. A diner anywhere should only have like a dozen or so things. If your menu has 300 items, that's an immediate red flag that you can't make most of them well and a lot of your ingredients aren't fresh.
I'm a chef and own my own restaurant. I have 16 dishes on my menu and that includes starter, main and dessert. Restaurant is always packed, less is more!@@melissadurante1450
If possible if the dishes are just a variant of few dishes like in Chinese restaurant
EIGHTY VARIANTS OF FRIED RICE for example
@@jameshill2450I have never been to a diner with only 12 items on a menu lol
What I learn in Kitchen Nightmares:
-If the owner said "Our food is good", or rating it 10/10 = It's always bad.
-If the menu is too much = It's confusing, definetly and the food is also bad.
-If it's a family restaurant, everyone will blame each other and throw every single family members under the bus. If the owner is married, they will blame their restaurant for damaging their marriage.
-There's always scenario like this:
1. Good Owner, Bad Chef
2. Bad Owner, Good Chef
3. Both of Owner and Chefs are bad
-The food is always frozen, raw and overcooked
-The kitchen is always filthy and sometimes there's cooked ingredients placed next to raw ingredients
-The owner is always on denial until Gordon showed them their filthy kitchen and they finally realize they're wrong
-Gordon's always nice to the servers as he knows their job is to deliver the food not making them.
-Good Ending : The Restaurant is operating succesfully and the owner is always happy
Bad Ending: The owner is going back to their old ways only to close few months later
super bad ending is Gordon just giving up
Don't forget chef mic.
It's a predictable format I could binge indefinitely.
Yeah pretty much

I don’t know how ANY restaurant can even come to WORK with THAT many recipes on what dish they are making…left alone 300!?! The chefs are human beings not super computers…
They can't. They freeze it all.
Usually it’s frozen and also it’s a higher risk of contamination
Why dont u look up dennya beer barrel pub menu
I always wondered the same thing. But a friend of mine told me that they freeze a lot of their dishes 😕
@@VickySwindoll That's very common even with the smaller menu.
If you guys ever go to a restaurant and you see that the menu has like 300 items just leave immediately
Except large chinese restaurants, they have like 20 chefs and many dishes share the same base preparations/ingredients so its not necessarily a red flag
Those chinese restaurants are like : chinese food=stir frying at high heat.
Chinese food has so much variety.
Point of order: Cheesecake Factory
Maybe if the gimmick was something like the menu rotating every week or something so every visit was different you could make it work.
Reason #1 why I avoid Cheesecake Factory. #2 is the price. I’m paying high prices for sub par average bland food.
Lol “I’ve got more cream cheese in a zit” 😂
300??!! I can’t even name 300 dishes…like why???😂😂
I couldn’t even name 50
Although it's great we're getting a new season of this show and Ramsay is still as charming as ever it's sad to see the same faulty restaurant practices seen on TV 16 years ago are still being rehashed by new ignorant owners despite how much info there is now about how to correctly operate and maintain a restaurant.
Some people were just not meant to own/operate a restaurant... :(
Its has they say, you can't teach an old dog new tricks. With restaurants, you will always get faulty practices over teaching correct practices that can make a change in the business. No matter how much info you get out there or you ask for Michelin's Chef's like Gordon, someone will always be stubborn, proud or lazy to seek help when in these scenarios of owning/ operate a restaurant. This show actually gives a scary feeling sometimes of what happens if you can't run a business for food properly, which sadly in the restaurant industy is what happens in the most because people cut alot of corners to serve people
It's scripted u cow😂!
The internet is so pervasive and easy to use. Sure you can Google state health guidelines and “how to run a successful restaurant for idiots
People don't want to put in the work
I just watched the episode on Hulu, and it was great. It's great to have Kitchen Nightmares back.
I always wondered though - don't these restaurateurs watch the old episodes of the show and then prepare adequately for Gordon's arrival? Or are they just THAT dirty?
Part of the show is staged. I believe the writers/producers want the restaurant dirty4
5 star resturants are thoroughly cleaned. Most restaurants do not do a deep clean like EVER.
My guess is that the production company has something to do with it, "O.K.... don't do any cleaning, argue with Gordon every chance you get and deny you are doing anything wrong."
@@captainobvious9233 I have to disagree, sure maybe they're encouraged to throw in some drama BUT considdering that 80-90% of these resturants get closed / go bankrupt a few months after the show anyway i'm fairly confident that this is just how these people are. They are that deluded, they are that dirty and they are that argumentative.
I think they're aware that gordon would visit them because of all the camera before he arrives, but they don't say when he will arrive. Maybe he'll arrive 3 days after 1 week after etc.
They needed Gordon to tell them their restaurant was to dirty!?
They didn't need new equipment, they needed to CLEAN!
This is hilarious and feels way more authentic and real than usual kitchen nightmares with all the sound effects
if that is the case then its like Kitchen Nightmares UK, I highly recommend you watch that, if you haven't already!
At least the head chef in the kitchen felt responsible for the food

Gordon saying "Coq au vin" the wrong way while telling the waitress she's saying it the wrong way...
What makes it wrong?
the pronunciation.@@SimonFrack
@@Fleakee I’ve never heard anyone pronounce it differently to how Gordon said it, so I’m asking what the metric is for determining what a correct pronunciation is.
I know the two people pronounce it differently, but how did you conclude one was right and the other was wrong?
I mean, I'm French, so I know how to say Coq au Vin, because it's French... Google it, it'll be easier than me writing it down. :P@@SimonFrack
And they were both wrong. The "vin" is pronounced with the nose, it's very French sounding.@@SimonFrack
I love Kitchen Nightmares so much. So glad Gordon is doing a new season!
at least Kal seems like he cares compared to a lot of people
Just realised Kitchen Nightmares is back after 10 years! So happy to hear!
That lobster deserved better.
I love how gordon laughs at her for pronouncing "coq au vin" wrong, then proceeds to mispronounce it himself 😅
as a french person, he pronounced just fine. just sounds like an english person trying to speak french is all
I'm more amused by him stressing the importance of pronouncing 'coq au vin' correctly and not anglicising it, but calling gyros "jyro"
That's some culinary discrimination right here xd
@@xuruiyu Well a waitress should know how to pronounce their menu items properly. She butchered it completely and thats not ok at all.
@@Ex0rz Yeah, I see your point, it is important for waiters in fancier establishments to show that they know the menu well and understand its contents
But that does not take away from my point, that this mostly seems to apply to French dishes, while for example Greek ones get their names butchered unapologetically xd
I got the hiccups from laughing. Everytime Gordan bit into the lettuce 🥬🥬😂😂😂
Let us just appreciate that it sounded fresh and crispy.
Jon Taffer: THERE ARE MORE MENU ITEMS THAN THERE ARE BACTERIA IN YOUR RESTAURANT!
I learned from Chef Irvine (Restaurant Impossible) the first thing you do to is pare down your menu and use easy to make recipes so you can get the food out of the kitchen in a timely manner! 😉
At least he owned up to his mistakes instead of denying them like so many chefs before on this show.
You just can't have a menu with that many items. Love Chef Ramsay telling it as usual like it is.
Let me get this correct, Gordon picks a live lobster, they kill it for lunch, and then wind up throwing it in the trash.

So far the first one (diner) is.
A good set of the restaurants from the first iteration of the show are still open - at least the ones that heeded Gordon's advice, anyway.
Yeah if they listen to Gordon they will be successful and stay open
@@UnclePhil1112that’s definitely a factor. But one issue in the original kitchen nightmares is that many of the restaurants were so deep in debt and financial troubles that even when they listened to Ramsay, they had to sell the business. Pretty sad fate for like 90% of the restaurants

MMM!
It's nice to see that the owner is at least a good person, just with a bad menu.
This is one of the few ones that I would actually eat at once the menu was fixed.
What happened to the fresh lobster if its rancid 😂
The lobster was dead in the fishtank getting weekend at Bernie'd around the tank
You think they take a lobster out a tank to make a grilled cheese ??? They gave him the imitation crab meat, obviously
They brought back kitchen nightmares? I never thought they would, wow
So they killed that poor lobster for nothin'?
I would would to see a Revisit episode about the restaurants who are still open from the first series. I know Lido's and Le Bistro are still open, even after the pandemic
Nice that he is correcting them while not saying it correctly himself!
The way they pronounced gyro killed me
Why restauranters choose to overload a menu and burden the Chefs is beyond me
How on earth is Gordon not able to pronounce coq au vin correctly?

I don’t know what occurred further on in this episode with this diner.

Diners are not what they used to be. They still have those ridiculously large menus but the quality has gone way down and the prices way up. One hundred items with breakfast all day should be more than enough.

Why on earth would you have a menu so big. Keep it simple and fresh as possible
Unless everything is frozen, the more items you have on the menu, the more you have food spoilage issues, unless you're next door to Walmart
Gordon should have asked them to make every single dish like he did in a past episode (I think it was over 150 dishes).
thanks Gordon, new footage to make YTPs with
I don’t like restaurants with very big menus because you know it’s just going to be mediocre, they can’t be making all that stuff fresh
Lobster got cooked for that. But wasn't even cooked.
I felt sorry for the lobster....getting steamed to death... and stored alive in a tank. I would never eat in a restaurant that did that
I used to cook at a place called the French Market and Tavern, they are now out of business. But it was the same deal.
Owner wanted fancy fancy pants food with teeny weeny budget.
Very pretentious, couldn't afford more than 1 full time cook and 1 cook extra for Sundays.
