I am actually working in the same direction. I am making powder and percussion caps the rest of the week and possibly going to chase some squirrels this weekend since it’s currently raining here and that will lessen the crunch while walking
Hey Justin! There is a fine line between being a "Jack Of All Trades"... and having just enough knowledge to be dangerous! Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! But I think, on the whole, that you have achieved a fair balance between the two! As they used to say in the Army, "Run it up the flagpole and see who salutes!". If nothing else... it is entertaining. Those Shooting Sticks should make quite a difference in the results when you're out putting some lead downrange with the Ol' Smoke Pole. So... practice, practice, practice. Then practice some more! Good Lord! Those figs looked tasty... and they were well earned! You may just have to treat yourself to a bowl of homemade ice cream as a reward! Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! You Take Care & I'll See You Down The Trail!
Justin: Get yourself an old scissors or bottle jack from the junk yard. Attach a 6X6" piece of hardwood on the top, and keep it next to your drill press. That'll let you raise and lower pieces to be drilled so you can level them without holding them by hand. That's been working for me for years. God bless: Two Feathers
Please excuse my ignorance, what I don’t understand is why you built a tripod and not a bipod even though you’re using it as a bipod. Thanks for sharing.
@@SpiritoftheOutdoors logic doesn’t mean avoiding truth, but rather controlling it, bravo. Experience is a better guide to this than deductive logic. But on the other hand as you stated “don’t overthink this, Do it the way you like to do it” And that is true for us all my friend.
