Man I'm tired of hearing insecure men hedging about how gay they aren't when they start talking about enjoying creature comforts. You're a dude so you have to enjoy pounding concrete for twelve hours in the 110 degree sun and go to bed stinking like the jobsite?
Yes the finishing of the cheap wood making it look high quality old wood, and a photo that displays the products in a warm room that is very nicely decorated and have some ambient light to make everything seems just so good, are some of the main sell tricks of these kind of projects.
“Im not gay” @3:31…. Dead! 🤣💀 I was not expecting that comment at all. Nothing but love for you. And you’re right, people will pay since they don’t know how to make things out have tools
I was trying to work out the mountain shelf and figure out how it was 36" long and only 5" high. Because it really didn't make sense dimensionally. Turns out I was correct after rewatching your post. It's 36" long and 15.5 " high. In your post, the arrow is covering the 1, but I caught in the description. I'm not sure how these would actually sell, but unlike the negative commentary, I'm going to at least give them a try. Thanks for the post.
I'm thinking about doing this, trying to keep in mind key thingsI think about when shopping online- items under $30 are really attractive, keep it cheaper than others in its category, offer many colors, have close up shots and shots from all angles and have exact dimensions for height, width, depth, spacing etc and disclose what materials its made out of. Transparency is a big plus and shows competency.
As I get older my needs have gone from a consumers mindset to a manufacturing mindset. It should be the other way around, but I’m glad to have all these skills now that benefit myself and my understanding to human nature.
Great video! What is the coolest - most fun - item you enjoy making? Everything isn’t about sales- the coolest things will sell and aren’t usually copied by others-

0:50 That line right there is a great lesson to learn in general; easy _for you_ does not equal easy for everyone else. As the saying goes, "I spent 10 years learning how to do that in 30 minutes; you're paying for the years, not the minutes." That being said, anybody paying $80+ for those towel racks at the beginning is living proof of another old saying, "A fool and his money are soon parted."
Hi frnd I'm not a carpenter but what I have learned at school that's enough You candle holder with the 2 pieces of wood with the little triangle I make some perches for my racing pigeons to sit on similar like that with 4xsmall pieces of wood with a 1m of wood (all pellet wood)neh and it came out great.I only have a circular saw and a 115mm vrinder with a sanding disc to do all that❤
Nice - thanks for the ideas! One of my thoughts when I saw the floating towel holder was : that thing must be pretty heavy! Do you think cutting the 2x4's in half would work as well?
@@AreBaloni Thanks - I wasn't sure if there was a reason that wasn't obvious about using the full size, other than maybe the 'rustic' farmhouse appearance. Here in the US, most of our walls are made with gypsum drywall, which is pretty soft. So the weight of things we hang on those walls really matters. The lighter the better.
Thanks! No I haven’t. I use Instagram and Facebook to sell. I thought about maybe trying to sell on etsy, but I am worried, as you say, that I dont think many norwegians use etsy to buy.
Same here. Theres a new neighborhood getting built near me and every week they give their wood "scraps" away for free. Almost got the wood pile yesterday but someone used a van and took absolutely everything. The "scraps" arent even scraps, they may be scrap for house building but holy moly how many good planks the pile had If you got that pile, you could've used it for a whole month

Seriously guys. Can you all stay on topic and the woodworking. If i wanted to hear about how he has or has not said something I would be on facebook or be watching a left wing woke channel. Are you are doing a great job. Keep it up and don't listen to all the snowflakes
1:54 With all this visible screws instead joint pins doesn't look so pretty amazing to me 😉 But if you are selling it for 80 that sounds pretty to me 🙃🙂😉
Don't trip brother. Times are changing I'm as strait as they get and I use skin care products, I get manicures and even use cover up. I figured i don't do baths very often but us straight guys wanna lick back and relax to every once in awhile so mite as well go all out
...a candle? directly on the wood?? Make sure customers have a working fire alarm and fire extinguisher - and prepare for law suits, coz that is like selling them a Fire hazard

Most important thing is probably the pictures they used to sell these things, they make a simple piece of wood look very very cozy!

I need that towel rack. I might add a bar on the bottom to hang one or a hand towel. Thanks for the video

Oh, you’re right! 36x5" doesn’t make sense. Thanks for clearing that up 👍🏼
I feel like the towel rack would look way better with dowels. I'm gonna do that.
"It is a longer piece of wood...and a shorter piece of wood..." Lol definitly good ideas for using small scrap wood pieces.

Hei Are.Du er den første Norske youtube snekkern jeg har funnet. Veldig profesjonelt lagd og gode tips 😊
As I get older my needs have gone from a consumers mindset to a manufacturing mindset. It should be the other way around, but I’m glad to have all these skills now that benefit myself and my understanding to human nature.
Relaxing is relaxing 😊
Men like baths too 😂
Tusen takk, Are.
That candle holder looks super easy to make and looks nice. I like your version with the nail in it.
Thank you, Matt!
Hehe the nail kinda didn’t sit well with me :) would maybe use a forcener bit and make an indent in stead
great video.. a true entrepreneur .. getting into the minds of the buyer .. you can't find a better ideamaker! well done

Also, great video... gonna try some of these I think.
What wood and finish are you using on those projects? Specifically towel rack & candle holders
Thank you dude!
Great ideas, great products!

My friend sell the Mountain Shelfs, and sell a TON of them.
I didnt know pewdiepie has a woodworking channel! Thanks for the video, learned a lot, and gave me some new ideas!
Interesting, I don't see how that towel reck is sturdy though. Looks like it would brake easily?
Perfect execution of Ed's format. Bravo Are!
Well done
I'm totally distracted from the content! Gosh! ❤😂
Ooo that towel rack is awesome!
Nice - thanks for the ideas! One of my thoughts when I saw the floating towel holder was : that thing must be pretty heavy! Do you think cutting the 2x4's in half would work as well?
So 2x2s? Yes, that would definitely work as well :)

@aieeejo it would also have the benefit of reducing materials and make more product. One 2x4 would make more parts. Good call.
important thing to mention is the competition especially with big factories that able to produce thousands of those products much faster and cheaper
I have nothing to say really, but I appreciate your content, and wish to help with the yt-algorithms.
Always appreciate it!
I actually loved your plain comment.
Every morning I have something I can hang towels on.
How do you ship the outdoor furniture? That’s what’s holding me back right now
Does everyone just sell these on Etsy mainly?
Great video. Some ideas to think about.
Thank you by the way cause this is a really good video to get people going
How much does the outdoor furniture retail for? Thank you! New subscriber.
$1200
Thanks for the video
Nice products. But have you actually sold anything on Etsy from Norway? do norwegians even shop there?
Thanks! No I haven’t. I use Instagram and Facebook to sell. I thought about maybe trying to sell on etsy, but I am worried, as you say, that I dont think many norwegians use etsy to buy.
So, how much have you sold via Facebook and Instagram?
Good to see you back on the Scene looking well - Look forward watching you make things best of luck my friend x
Thank you!
The “im not gay” comment got you me to subscribe 😂
im gonna start making all of these on my channel 🔥🔥🤩
I feel like cutting boards are a good one too.
Anyone else a woman here trying to get into woodworking ? 👀

I think the dimensions on the mountain shelf are off a bit. It's definitely taller than 5.5 inches
Yes, you're right. Should be 15" :)
lmfao the bath tub part 😂
FIRE SAFTY AND WOODEN CANDLE HOLERS
Great video Are! Can't wait to try these projects out!

But do you light candles in the bath?
neither is Home Depot wood !
Incredible work, where are the plans?
Thank you! www.arebaloni.com/
love the ideas plus you make me laugh.... bro drink wine..........
informative video
Awesome video
Are you staining the wood or buying a particular type of wood?
Without a video as proof, I don't believe that you take baths with all those items. LOL :) j/k💯
Hva slags treslag bruker du når du lager sånne "småting"? Og hvor kjøper du det?
Love to buy your plans, but I am in US and we use inches … 😢
I'm currently converting all of my plans to imperial as well :)
You'll find some of the on my Etsy store:

Hei er du norsk ? :) hvordan har du klart deg på det norske marked :) ? 🤗😎👏🏻
What happened to the toasted coconut?
How much money does the outdoor benches & table sell for ?
I sell them for a total of $1200.
I can not fathom making as much as they are asking on those products.
Oh shit, never realized I was gay with my candles 🕯️
🤣🤣🤣
I'm not gay but... 50 bucks is 50 bucks
Any Norwegians here that have made nr2(sconce) and have access to the keyhold hangers? Do we have anything like this here in Norway?

Ok guy who listens to Dan Bongino on repeat. Just because people have fun doesn’t mean they’re soft or anti-conservative😂
The only snowflake is the guy who's masculinity is so fragile that he had to clarify his sexual orientation because he lit a fucking scented candle 😂
What?
Shut up and watch the video

they stop selling fast the second you post about it...
1:54 With all this visible screws instead joint pins doesn't look so pretty amazing to me 😉 But if you are selling it for 80 that sounds pretty to me 🙃🙂😉
Woods getting so expensive and there’s lots of cheap crap coming in from the east, not easy to make good profits anymore.
There has to be towel racks that sell for less than 80 bucks, come on, thats ridiculous. 40 bucks is still good profit
Seriously if you can’t make these things yourself that would be a problem it’s not rocket science

directly on the wood??

Crazy to pay $160 for that towel rack with big ugly screws showing
