  • In this Illustrator tutorial, learn how to design minimal flat lamp that can turn on and off!     useful tutorial. I just pick it from the color circle like while drawing in a normal raster. PS dark shades of complex colors would be better than black for the shadows

    Great tutorial... since you asked if you had missed anything .. yes, you’ve forgotten to give us some nice background shades to apply the lampshade to. You’ve got a great eye for colour ❤️

    Awesome :) .. Can you please add a video on how to choose color for illustration? The way you put those colors amazes me :D.... Love to know how to get an idea on what splash to use and their combos

      When I pull up the color picker and explain the saturation/shade/hue that’s really how I pick!

    I followed the first steps but I couldn't get two separate shapes (the lamp and the shade as it is in the video. it was still one block which is a bit confusing
    edit: I know my mistake, I haven't clicked on the top of that shape.

    Thank you for the video! When I use my rectangle tool it automatically has a fill. If I'm putting it over an existing shape, it makes it hard to see the objects underneath. I want to be able to see through it when I'm deciding the size of the rectangle. Which settings should I change??? ( This is only my second project in illustrator).

      You could just have a stroke on your rectangle which would be like an outline without the fill

    When I click shift and arrow key to expand it expands out too much. How to fix?

      just use arrow keys without holding shift
