I have worked as a gold broker, design creator, and jewelry seller of 23k gold in Thailand for the past 10 years and fully agree with the information you have provided your viewers. As your subscriber, I have always respected your straightforwardness in your assessment of various gold products even though you don't sell them. I would like to add some additional info about the softness issue. A part of the hardness potential of 22k and 23k gold is the annealing process used. This can be researched. In Thailand, the standard gold purity for chains worn every day is 96.5% slight over 23k. Not only have I found it to be very durable but an excellent store of value which is the main reason for the purity in the first place. 22/23k gold is usually handmade vs machine made. The downside to 22/23k gold, as you stated, is it shows surface imperfections easily and scratches easily (especially rings) and is not right for the customer looking for a "perfect" finish. Of course, many or most chains have such elaborate detail the surface imperfections are completely muted. The great thing about your product in either 14k or 18k is the strength of the added alloy which allows the customer to wear it 24/7 and yet it still has a significant gold value of 58% for 14k and 75% for 18k. The finish on your chains and bracelets is perfect due to the ease of final finishing unlike the more difficult to finish 22/23k gold. I just want to thank you for your solid information on gold purity because there is much incorrect information on the Internet. Your jewelry, in my view, is the best product for the majority of customers who want the best of both worlds...entry price, store of value and increased strength.
Love this comment. Thank you for your input. Very good point regarding the detail and finish on higher purity gold jewelry. Definitely does hide any imperfections it may have.

it’s not about it being soft tho. I have 24k solid gold pieces and they are very durable what ya talking about soft? Hello Jacoje love the videos thank u, quick question why does gold cost significantly more as it increases say in gram size, on several websites a 1mm diamond cut 30 inch 14k gold chain costs I’ve seen as low as 500 dollars but a 7mm same size same cut costs as much as 7000, I’m not in the gold business so obviously that’s why I’m asking but why such a huge mark up? I would think it would be cheaper or closer to actual cost per gram for a bigger one versus a smaller one in terms of gram size because your already there when making it versus say a 1mm which as a builder I would think there going out of your way to make something so small versus a big one, sorry for all the rambling I hope this make sense question wise and again thank you for all the help
What an excellent way to explain it referring to side effects. Thanks for the video and once again dropping the sweet knowledge of gold jewelry on us Braden! #SMASH
Pure and close-to-pure gold jewelry was typical for vast majority of history of gold jewelry. Lower purity is a modern western standard, as is the idea that it's too "soft." Most Asians (East and South) who wear their gold daily wear 24k.
@@jacoje - Kindly read this article and tell me what you think of these ancient gold jewelries. www.quora.com/What-are-some-remarkable-ancient-civilizations-most-people-dont-know-about/answer/Dayang-Marikit
I like 24k for a chain, i have a custom made classic Chinese style at 250g with a Buddha pendant and its the bomb. I wear a platinum chain (200g with 1 oz platinum pamp pendant) for daily use as it attracts no attention as people think its silver. If you have the spare cash its a good buy as its an investment that you can wear
Where can I get a heavy platinum chain without a ridiculous mark up on it? There seems to be about a 200-300% premium on platinum jewelry everywhere I have seen. If I could get a heavy platinum chain (100g+) for the same premium as a gold chain, I might go for that instead.
Gold & silver have a purity .999 up 5×9's 24k . gold & silver are brother sister , copper & zinc are far way cousins. They r all soft in pure form. Jewellery in 999 is medium hard & will scratch super easy.
Do you think 10k gold can irritate the neck? I wore a 10k gold chain once but it irritated my neck and I want to know if I should go for a 22 k gold chain
Half the people talking smack either fronting or have a tiny chain broke they necks to look wealthy. To me its preference but dont rag on folks who wear less gold karats
I wouldnt be able to enjoy a gold chain. Too worried about losing 4,000$ I spent on a small solid 22k chain. Someone snatches it or I get robbed. 4k down the drain.
in asia no one cares for 14k to 20k gold. either 22k or 24k or don't buy at all. beside since you gonna spend $$ to buy gold jewellery, why short change yourself right
24K gold is (NOT) too soft. I'm the proud owner of a 24K Mene bracelet. I've had it for a year now and hardly ever take it off. I sleep, clean, and shower with it daily. In other places in the world like Asia India, etc, kids are given 22k and 24k gold chains as gifts. If kids can grow into adulthood wearing said chains, that should tell you something. The only reason why Americans believe 10k and 14k are the way to go is because that is the bullshit we have been fed. The (real) reason places claim 24k is too soft is because it costs more. They sell 10k and 14k because it's cheaper, for them, they make bank off you. Mene's clasps are 18k, but the rest of their chains are 24k gold. I have had zero problems with it. In my opinion, 10k gold is junk. I'm not exactly the biggest fan of 14k, either. 18k and up is the way to go. You have to be mindful of where you shop, I would recommend Mene and Hawaii Rope Chains for gold pieces.

I would think it would be cheaper or closer to actual cost per gram for a bigger one versus a smaller one in terms of gram size because your already there when making it versus say a 1mm which as a builder I would think there going out of your way to make something so small versus a big one, sorry for all the rambling I hope this make sense question wise and again thank you for all the help
it takes more gold to make it. big difference between a 1& say a 7 no even if their lengths are the same. More material, higher price
I was just wondering do you make any of the jewelry you sell or do you buy them in like bulk and then sell them
You ever consider getting 4mm 22kt Francos? Curious about pricing for that
yerrrrbwoy definitely going to make it happen. Going to be veryyyy expensive though
What an excellent way to explain it referring to side effects. Thanks for the video and once again dropping the sweet knowledge of gold jewelry on us Braden! #SMASH
But for bracelets.. because it gets banged all the time on table..etc.. 14k or 18k.. how about 10k?
As always, awesome and informative. Smash !!
Man I love my 18kt franco from you but kind of regret not getting that 22k. So gorgeous.
Do you think a 26 inch 3m 22kt could hold a 15gram Buddha pendant?
Can you wear a pendant on 22k Franco’s? Will it damage the chain?
Pure and close-to-pure gold jewelry was typical for vast majority of history of gold jewelry. Lower purity is a modern western standard, as is the idea that it's too "soft." Most Asians (East and South) who wear their gold daily wear 24k.
Rock my 22 every day no problems
Love your videos. What is your opinion on Mene 24k gold jewelry?
24k baby that’s all I wear 99.99 percent gold!
Good info Braden...as always .👍👍👍👍
Are you gonna make a mini crucifix by any chance? The standard is too large for me.
i love 22k gold
Ethan Reed me too
@@jacoje - Kindly read this article and tell me what you think of these ancient gold jewelries.

Yeah I feel like the durability of a chain is overhyped. Reality is I rarely do anything that puts stress on the chain.
Do you think 10k gold can irritate the neck? I wore a 10k gold chain once but it irritated my neck and I want to know if I should go for a 22 k gold chain
Is there 24k gold chains?
I have a 3mm 24k rope chain for the size it's heavy
Go to a indian jewelery store for 22k
Go to any asian jeweler actually.
@@jonbertocchi173 true but indians to the shit best! They'll be nothing OTHER than 22k in that store!
Indian 22k is the best.
True, 22k /916 hallmark Indian is best!
I’m 12 and I have 2 22k chains from india and they are really soft and nice but they flip alot
I rock a 14k gold chain and I look just as good as someone rockin' a 10k to 24k gold chain. So it really doesn't matter.
Half the people talking smack either fronting or have a tiny chain broke they necks to look wealthy. To me its preference but dont rag on folks who wear less gold karats
@@XcstacyLoveJones Yea screw fronting on what you have. Gold is expensive asf. People are lucky to even have a gold chain period. Lol
100% right. Know your shit and be aware both pro and con.
You are right. 22 ct is the minimum quality you get in India.
I bet all the Indian jewelers got 22k gold
How many mm is that Franco?
I wouldnt be able to enjoy a gold chain. Too worried about losing 4,000$ I spent on a small solid 22k chain. Someone snatches it or I get robbed. 4k down the drain.
Speaking the truth in this video bro
Can we special order a 22 karat chain from jacoje
18k is really enough, but 21k or 22k is very beautiful, I would buy it too.
You're right Asian will laugh in your face with 14k and 10k, we wear 9999 gold rope😁😁😁
Yes it is kinda funny!!!!!👍👍👍
in asia no one cares for 14k to 20k gold. either 22k or 24k or don't buy at all. beside since you gonna spend $$ to buy gold jewellery, why short change yourself right
24K gold is (NOT) too soft.
When would you carry 22k again on your website?
3 weeks
Dream chain is 5mm 22kt diamond cut Franco.... ahhh I will have it one day
Awesome video with a flat out beautiful chain. 14k-18k = everyday use. Higher than 18k and it’s gonna be a weekend piece to wear out in town.
Do a review on Soldier boys chains, I want to know if they’re fake by the way they sound
I’m soft Braden so it’s fine 😍😩
Hexx Reviews lmao
