I wear a 2.5mm 23k 1 baht anchor chain with a small pendant 24/7. It has been through a lot, and is still holding strong. I have to wear heavy body armor at work, and I don’t worry about the chain. Gold is tough, especially if it’s been work hardened. Thank you for your videos!

You are correct, most chains are lower purity 10 and 14k, i wear a 24k and a 22k all the time. Higher purity is so much better than lower purity

@@melissanacional9662 if I had to choose I would definitely go with the 22k because like you said it's not something you see all the time. I would rather have something smaller in higher purity than something big in lower purity. I like more dainty looking jewelry anyway I don't like huge gaudy pieces.

How would they make more money?
Ive worn my high purity gold even in the sauna and steam room.. silver in the sauna heats up too much on your skin, gold for some reason doesnt heat up the same in sauna as silver does. I wear 21k and 22k ropes every day, like you I dont like taking my chains off lol

Really like the chain. I’m torn on the color but it looks good on your skin tone. I also don’t think 10k is very common. Probably just as common as 18k.

@@melissanacional9662 Really? I'm not so sure. Here in NY everyone seems to wear 14k with the occasional 18k. Even online jewelers stock mostly 14k and 18k. I see 10k less than 22k even with online jewelers, but maybe it's because of where I'm looking. Jacoje, HRC, DJI, etc. Either way, nice necklace.
Yeah where I am 10k is pretty common. But high purity is pretty popular within Asian communities
@@melissanacional9662 What are your thoughts on stacking an 18" 1.7mm 22k franco with a 16" 3mm 14k rope? I've seen your videos on both and am torn on a gift I'm buying for a woman with a similar complexion.
I feel like the 22k has to be a standalone piece with maybe a pendant from Mene. Otherwise everything you buy now has to be 22k or at least 18k. She already stacks mismatched metals and purities.

In most of the world, anything under 21kt is either undesirable or downright illegal to sell. They wear high purity no problem. Sure, their scratched up and not shiny unless maintained but that can be remedied.
Lol it's not "downright" illegal to sell... France, UK, Australia, Portugal, and Ireland "legally" sale 9k as lowest standard, Denmark and Greece the lowest standard is 8k and obviously 10k here in the states... anyone can sell any karat of gold anywhere in the world but depending on local laws you just might not be able to sell it as "gold"...
@@beezeal2042Lol, sure Eurocentric countries have that standard and yes if you clearly state that it isn’t pure or very high karat you can sell it as gold or “adjunct” most everywhere. However there are countries where the standard is 22kt to be called gold. My point stands: There is no such thing as mixed gold in some countriee as in it is considered FAKE. YOU CANNOT have a sign saying GOLD for those lower purities. In Greece, America and all those countries, a for sale sign of simply GOLD would be illegal in some countries. Place a Zales with 8k to 18k gold in Thailand or India and the laws would prevent them from posting signs as GOLD for sale. Lol

I got a DC 4mm Franco from Myron at HRC. I can remember that heavy feeling you get from the chain, it almost feels different even though it’s just 55 grams. Btw jacoje buys his stock from the same wholesaler in Hawaii that Myron goes to, it’s really weird too cuz jacoje showed himself on the vacation like how you Gina expose yourself like that lol? But either way nice video, I’m tryna get into the more complex links like the Byzantine and Bismarck chain
