- Have you ever wondered how to get the ferry to St Mawes In Cornwall? In this episode I pay a visit to St Mawes in Cornwall UK on the ferry from Falmouth. St mawes is the home to st mawes castle an English heritage site that was build by Henry VIII Between 1540 and 1542. Cornwall has many fantastic castles such as Pendennis which is directly opposite St Mawes Castle on the Falmouth side. In this video I start in Falmouth, take the ferry from the Prince of Wales pier and arrive in St Mawes for a pasty, a little dip in the sea and pay a visit to the castle. Did the opposite a few years ago, drove to st mawes from pentewan then got the ferry to Falmouth, wonderful day out 👍👍

Nice video as always Shaun not been to st Mawes for years brought back some memories i used to row in the gig regattas down there about 30 years ago. Last time i was in the rising sun had far to much to drink happy days and also thanks to your drone footage looks like a good spot for snorkeling. Will be going by ferry next time thanks to you. Thanks again for sharing your adventures with us.

@@LoveSundays We stay in Gulval and then travel all over. We have a lot of memories in the Lizard and Porthcurno so always visit. I always make sure to walk a bit of the SW coast path I've not done before so up to around 250 of it walked. This year after the week in Cornwall we have a week in Devon.

Yea it’s nice there. I wouldn’t have a pasty confrontation I’m not about that life 😆 however if they guy wasn’t a nice chap I probably would’ve gone back to swap it. I think it was odd about not wanting to walk back to the shop which was 5 minutes away 😆

The pasties from that Quay shop are the best I ever bought ...I never had a cheese and onion pasty...I have enough Cornish blood in me to wish they had another name for them when they are not made with traditional ingredients. First thing I want to eat when I get home is a pasty from that Quay shop.

I stumbled upon your video because I used to live in St Mawes, back in 1980. With my farther, I was only 7 years old.
I would like to ask you, when you go back there, would you mind finding the house that my farther owned… it was up a little walking lane between the ferry and the castle on the road between them. I remember there was an old church up the lane, right next door on the left. (There was a message that said ‘Trespassers Buzz Off’)
I would love to know the street number and see a photo of it today.
Ps, I loved those Pasties, I have one every time I went on the ferry the ferry.

Knew the guy who owned the thatched place, posh kid, mummy and daddy gave it to him.... in fact all the people I knew there were spoilt rotten, all in their 20's, given houses, land etc.
