Meet Costis Maglaras, Dean of Columbia Business School

Costis Maglaras joined the faculty of Columbia Business School (CBS) in 1998. Since 2019, Maglaras has led CBS as its Dean.
“The world of business is really rapidly changing,” Maglaras recently told Columbia News in an interview. New technologies, AI, and climate change are disrupting all kinds of sectors. But that’s where Dean Maglaras sees an opportunity. “Businesses are playing an increasingly important role in thinking and addressing important societal questions. What that means for us, is that this is changing what business education is meant to do.”
