Hello. I am another ex-employee from Corporate Valuation and KPMG. But I am from the other side of the world. I am so thrilled about your video~ I am going to apply for next year CBS.
After I quitted Corporate Valuation and KPMG, I worked in growth equity and buyout. I then worked there for 7 years. Then, I have my own online trading business for other 6 years and finally sold the little company. From my interaction with my venture capital colleagues, the most lucrative deals, e.g. medical devices, telecommunication, and climate technology, require a technical background to understand and source. The less technical deals in the, for example, platform and consumer sector usually command higher price because more venture capitalists bid the same deals. So, your career may be better off if you seek jobs in growth equity and buyout. You can make better use of your valuation skills. 😀
