Thanks for this great video! I'm picking my very first 2007 Lexus RX400h today and cannot wait to take care of her and keep her well maintained. This is a super helpful video.
Thanks man! Its oil change day for the first time since we bought our '07 rx400h and this was a great and easy video to follow. This is a sweet ride. Great mpg, very reliable and affordable as well.
2007 400H maintenence required reset: 1) ignition on, odometer is showing ( not trip A or B) 2) Ignition off 3) hold trip meter button in and turn ignition back on, continue to hold button until reset. My reset is on panal left of steering column, under KW gauge. Thanks for video. Found filter right away.
Oil that is labeled for hybrid vehicles has properties to reduce moisture caused by condensation , therefore if you have long periods where the gas engine falls below operating temp and can introduce moisture into oil this would be recommended. My temp gauge indicates it’s almost always at operating temp (except start up) even when I’m chilling with car on and gas engine starts up every few min to charge batteries. I just use mobil 1 synthetic for my rx400, as I don’t see these special circumstances applying to me.
After doing an oil change? No, it is not right. Either you don't have enough oil in the engine bay, or the oil filter isn't on property, which isn't allowing proper oil pressure. It could be bad timing, but there is a possibility that the oil pump or sensor are failing. Definitely stop driving the vehicle and get it looked at as soon as possible.
Thanks for taking the time to shoot this video, edit it, and provide a narrative. It was very helpful. Should have watched it before I started and I would’ve discovered it was not a 15 mm or a 13 mm drain plug which is what I encounter on German cars, but oddly a 14 mm. I would’ve saved myself a fair amount of time right there.
Nice video, straight to the point. Was there a crush washer on the drain plug? If so, what size? Also, do you have a part number for those oil filters? Thanks.
Whilst I get the target audience for this is mainly the United States, whilst making videos people should consider the international measurement is really litres, whilst I do get quarts means 1/4 of a gall. We shoukd note a UK gal ( the true origin of a gal some 50 years before independence). Just a number important counties use the UK gal ( dare I say imperial lol). Ps important video was good . Maybe a torch next time lol

Is there a reason to use 5W-30 instead of 0W-20 recommended in manual book?
5w-30 full synthetic is fine right i dont have to buy the one saids hybrid

I've seen some owners using 0W-20 instead of the 5W-30. Have you tried comparing fuel efficiency of both types of oil?
The oil maintenance light turns on and off randomly after doing this. Is this normal?

@@SergeyPip I really appreciate your answer. I will take your advice.
