You forgot to show how to remove the WHOLE WIPER ASSEMBLY to remove the 2 12mm bolts on the back of the Air Intake. It takes about an extra 2 hours and a lot of scars to get there. It's funny how you skip that part in just 2 seconds! The rest was Super helpful.
I just finished the whole job and put it all back together, if you take off the bolts on the bottom of those two brackets underneath the car it helps a lot
Great video. Everything anybody would need to know in order to do this job. This explains why my Lexus dealer charges $690 to do this! Also explains why I’m not going to tackle it myself. I could... Especially with this video... but I’m just NOT. Thanks for the help!
Great video, my only suggestion would be to have the cameraman zoom in and zoom out more often on some of those areas that are in deep. It just helps to figure out exactly what was being worked on. I know he did it once or twice, which I thought was greatand appreciate that but he did it for all areas that were in deep. It would really help. Super thanks again.
Wow! Thanks for such a detailed and informative video on replacing the spark plugs! The disassembly and reassembly was very helpful and clearly shown and documented! I’m going to watch the video over and over again until I feel comfortable to start it on a diy project. Thanks again Auto Doc.
I replaced my back coils and it worked out fine. Thank you for the video. My plugs have been replaced at one time and the last person did not put the screws back on the pack part of the manifold so it made it easy to take that off.
Next time, is it possible to show me how you took off the 2 bolts from the back of the intake manifold? That's the most tricky part and you left it out. Thanks.
I know this will probably never be seen. However, am I supposed to change the throttle body gasket and intake gasket? I figured I would ask since I didn’t see them changed and rubber gaskets get old and hard with age. Thank you. Absolutely great video!!!
Thank you so much for your reply! Before I tackle this job. Can’t I just remove the wipers, linkage, and rear cowl? So I don’t have to remove the intake.
@13:04 I noted they point out the location of these for reference. They do show taking the one off the side. There's a possibility this vehicle was serviced before by a less able mechanic that never put them back so they couldn't show what wasnt there.
I like this video, It would be nice to hear basic narrative while you work. Also I am replacing the spark plugs at a longer interval, 140K mi, Because with the new irridium plugs they always look so great when they come out. FYI the timing belt and water pump were done at 90K. With this video I will be doing this job today and.... Thank you so much for your contribution!!!!
Very helpful this video clip 👌, I would like to know what you do or what you disconnect when you go under the car ,it was not clear ,please explain. Thank you very much.

He is just loosening one of the fasteners that’s hard to reach from the top. If you slow down the video or replay a few times you can see the wobble extension with a swivel socket turning the fastener loose.

Too bad that the video did not show when the technician get down below to get the 3 screw from the back of the air intake manifold as it is tight spot. We do not know how can them be remove. I did all the thing from the top but find out that it still sticking as the 3 screw can not remove. it should be explained to the viewers that the vehicle need to be lift up high to get access instead he only point out the spots. I like all other video and they are helpfull. But this one I have problem with it.
How we should know that the spark plugs need to be changed? is there any symptoms on the engine function that should know that the spark plug is dirty or need to be changed?

You don't have to take that whole part off. You have to have a tool that it's going to fit back there behind it
I just finished the whole job and put it all back together, if you take off the bolts on the bottom of those two brackets underneath the car it helps a lot
Anybody who reads this do not take off the full windshield wiper assembly

I'll change your spark plugs in the 06 400h for $150 😊
I noticed you didnt go back under the car to install that bracket bolt in the back of the intake.

Thank you for your feedback! We're glad you found our work useful.
can you do a rx400h waterpump and timing belt?
To break the two back bracket bolts, you'll need a long breaker bar and angle it on a small 12mm wrench. You cannot get enough leverage otherwise.
Next time, is it possible to show me how you took off the 2 bolts from the back of the intake manifold? That's the most tricky part and you left it out. Thanks.
Thank you,
we will definitely take this into account in our new videos.

Fr it’s the only part that is challenging
I know this will probably never be seen. However, am I supposed to change the throttle body gasket and intake gasket? I figured I would ask since I didn’t see them changed and rubber gaskets get old and hard with age. Thank you. Absolutely great video!!!
Yes, when performing work, it is necessary to change the gaskets and seals.
Thank you so much for your reply! Before I tackle this job. Can’t I just remove the wipers, linkage, and rear cowl? So I don’t have to remove the intake.
At 12:58 you did not take out the bolts from the back of the intake plenum. Neither did you screw them back on. Guestion is : why?

Tough job for the newer model cars! Great video.
Thank you for sharing your opinion!

Great video. Professional. I wonder what the dealer charges for this service. It's a pretty big ordeal.
What is it your doing from underneath the car at the end of video? Thanks
It is not possible to answer your question for sure.
Very helpful this video clip 👌,
I would like to know what you do or what you disconnect when you go under the car ,it was not clear ,please explain.
Thank you very much.
Please specify the time of the fragment in the video.
The hardest screws you blow through it in 15-20 sec… how do you get the the 2 screws in the back of the intake manifold?
There is no way to answer your question, you can find this information in your vehicle's technical repair documentation.
Can you tell me exactly what are you doing going under the engine to pull something at 9:35? Thank you so much.

Are you UK based and where is this workshop? Need lots of work on my Rx400h from a reputable and knowledgeable place like you guys
We are based in Germany, in Berlin. All information about us you can find at this link on our website:www.autodoc.co.uk/services/company
Why did you not replace the coils. Or clean the EGR valve. Once going back into that area I would never want to have to go back into it again
Thank you for your comment, we will certainly take into account your wishes when chooting new videos.

I would have definitely replaced ignition coils & PVC valve, and cleaned EGR as well. Very good point my friend.
Yes, I had plugs done a few years ago and declined to do the coils. Now it's starting to misfire. Don't cheap out on coils!
You didn't show how you removed the 14mm and 12mm fasteners at the back of the intake plenum... 😂
Thank you for your attention to the details.
We will check and fix this in our future videos.

Can any coil go in any hole
Yes, all the coils for that model can go in any hole.

How we should know that the spark plugs need to be changed? is there any symptoms on the engine function that should know that the spark plug is dirty or need to be changed?
As a rule, the engine starts to run unevenly, power is lost and fuel consumption increases.
AUTODOC
Excellant work.
Please, show how to replace fuel pump on this vehicle.

I came here to scan the video for the part where they get at the rear intake manifold support brackets and they literally skipped only that part!
Thanks for the clarification, we'll think about what we can do with this in new videos.

Oh man so the intake has to come off and I have to watch this video like 3 times
Humm... it didn't make the triangle red light go away....:(
