Kino, I'm from Cape Town , born and bred in South Africa (now 70 years old) now living in the UK for the past few years (due to my children and grandchildren being here)and it's really given me so much joy seeing how the majority of African countries and their people have welcomed you with open arms . Africa has its problems (as does the rest of the world) but once in your veins it never leaves...I so miss the African people and their culture but am so privileged to have been born there. So enjoy your South African stay and keep safe...The overwhelming majority are great people...
Wow Namibia, that was my second home, nostalgic moments. I miss you keetmashoop. Though I am far away and back to my country, Kenya. I will always remember the good years I spent in Namibia
I often wonder if the local people, upon meeting Yves and hearing of his adventures, feel some of the same lovely jealousy that I feel every time I watch his videos!! What a wonderful thing!! Thank You, Yves! 👍🏻👍🏻💕
One of the reasons why I love following your journey is that you see no matter where you are in the world, there’s so many nice and friendly people you will meet. That’s life !!! Bon voyage and let’s gooo
yea sometimes in the service industry you can get a bit robotic with the services you offer, but yves was humble and didn't seem irritated at all when she said no breakfast. Makes you want to find a way to help him. When people get entitled with me is when I shut down. I don't mind helping people, but catering to entitled people will never be me.
You Can hear its close to South Africa, by the Way She say Yeez for yes, She did tell that they travel to SA Often ! Lovely woman🤗 The man too💯 Yves you do walk straight into People’s hearts, with your wholesome person! Thank you for yet another great video❤️
The kindest lady 😢😊 in the whole world!!!! Whaal !!! I wish we could be as kind and loving to one another like that....the world would be a much better place 😢😢❤❤
Her place looks like a restaurant, tables, chairs ect...but no eggs or sausage 😕...and its called Kitchen 51...but the Lady is so sweet... she laid out a lovely meal for him, how wonderful!! Hospitality at its best!! 👌🏽💕
There is food there for people who sleep over in the accommodation but not for people just passing thru. She said that they closed the food section during Covid and only now provide food for people using the accommodation.
When we first landed in Windhoek during UNTAG operation, it was a pleasant surprise to find European City & infrastructure which was so good in the African Continent, Windhoek. Our stay was very pleasant and meeting the local population was like Anthropology and the diversity was ample with different languages, culture, food etc. It is one of my favourite county which I visit often. Yves you were very close to the hot springs Resort called Ais Ais and that landscape is out of this world at warm baths resort. Weavers Birds are so intelligent to cohabit in one big home as trees are scarce and to protect and cohabit together in one huge nests. We saw some huge nests on electric poles on our way to South Africa also. Baked food like cakes, muffins, Pies & Apple Strudel is best in Namibia.
Its the way you enjoy the food for me. Thanks so much for sharing us your journey. The dedication to take all this, its amazing that I am able to watch you on your tricycle and never get bored.
I'm impressed how you pronounce Afriaans words like Dassiefontein, well done. And I'm so pleased to see my people in Namibia keeping up the best hospitality in the world!
One thing I love about cycle touring is that you get to see that most people are very nice and will do what ever they can to help you out in the moment. Really helps you see past the vitriol the internet and media spews. That muffin looks awesome! shredded cheese, sliced ham, and a muffin, you're eating like a stoned bachelor now!!!
Awesome journey and hospitality experience. Mzungus in Africa are becoming more benevolent than Africans themselves; this is the generosity we miss from our grandparents - being kind and helpful to weary travellers. Kudos people of Namibia.
Kino dear, so many African countries have been hospitality enough to you dear, remember in Zimbabwe someone paid for your food, in Rwanda a poor family welcomed you in their home in the pouring rain etc it's seems unfair not remember that, I think all Africa has given you love not only Namibia, looking forward to next video
Your mission is almost complete.. be safe in South Africa. Love From Botswana. Some Europeans who stay in Africa have adapted the African hospitality as you can see
Quel chance tu as eu! J’adore ces paysages à perte de vue et pratiquement deserts.❤❤A très bientôt. ❤
Another amazing video from. Mzungu Yves safari. Kitchen 51 on the world map made famous. Hats off to the proprietor she's very kind. Reminds me of my grandma, she'd cook food not just for the household but also for any passersby. Sprit of Africa i'd say. Thumps up Yves keep up the good work. Safe travels
