Honda McCord was not "run out of town". He wanted a guaranteed starting role, he was told 'hell no' and he left because he was afraid of the room.

They were so excited to think OSU was falling apart, because of the guys transferring out. They just needed room to reload.

We'll see who plays better this year. Howard or McCord. Of course Ohio State will be better, but it'll be interesting to see if McCord plays better out of the fishbowl. Lower expectations with less talent.

    1. OSU- Too much talent, experience and overall program stability to not win it all.
    2. PSU- Talent, experience and consistency/stability closest (of all other BIG10 teams outside Oregon) to OSU but their coach has yet to push them from Tier 2 to 1.
    3. ORE- Great talent, coaching and if stayed in PAC 10 would be Championship bound, BigTen will take a toll on them though.
    4. IOWA- Defense elite, offense looks optimistic but its Iowa, offense must prove itself.
    5. WISC- Always feisty, always above average coaching, offense and defense.
    6. UM- Just too much lost from last year, still replete with talent but too many unknowns (QB??) to rank higher, this year will be a mild let down.
    7. WASH- Losses from last year will not be overcome this season.
    8. MSU- I expect this team to surprise (my sleeper of the year) some however brutal mid season ensures 2nd tier bowl at best
    9. USC- Has the talent for sure, can Lincoln Riley fix the problems from last year?
    10. NEB- Like UI, all pieces there, but can the coach make it work? Got to win a close game!
    11. ILL- Above average talent and consistent improvement. Could Bielema put it all together this year?
    12. UMD- A consistently improving program with upside on talent, offense more capable than D.
    13. NW always does best when we least expect but talent drain hurts this year.
    14. RUTG- Capable of surprising, has upside potential but team tends to regress towards the mean.
    15. UCLA- Of all the former Pac team, this middling team will have hardest time adapting to Big10.
    16. MINN- I can't find any areas of improvement from last year.
    17. IND- Talent depleted, likely a long season.
    18. Purdue- Loss of talent, tough schedule, spring can't come soon enough.
My big question is how will the former PAC teams adjust to the BigTen; colder weather, further travel, and much tougher defenses. They will under perform this year.

No mention of USC adding former LA Rams DL coach Eric Henderson, who coached all world Aaron Donald as their new Co-Defensive Coordinator. Along side with D'Anton Lynn will definitely make a huge impact on the defensive side. Strength of Schedule is no doubt going to be rough but with Miller Moss locked into Rileys offense. USC will definitely improve on their 2023 record, regardless of transitioning into the B1G.

As an IU fan. IU had a great tranfer class. A few freshman that could add depth.
I look for the offense to be B+/A-
Pro : most depth IU has had.
Con: new system so it could take longer to have chemistry
Defense C+ but due to the weaker schedule the numbers could look much better than that.
Pro: same system and the linebackers and safetys should shine.
Con d line starters should be solid but no depth
Corners are a big question mark after all of the transfers.
    Special teams B
Gets the job done but nothing special. And limited kicking power
Record. Due to the weakest schedule IU has had in 20 years and 8 home games. I like the Hoosiers for 7-5.

@@woodshed_moments Someone calling another a casual does not usually mean they are ignorant themselves lol. Cause if you actually knew there’s no way you would say Michigan would be poised to walk away with the big 10 championship yet again. So since you probably don’t know I’ll inform you. Michigan lost most of their coaching staff including the strength and conditioning coach. They lose 44 upperclassmen and will lose at least 15 players to the draft. They have to play a new qb, replace most of their veteran offensive line, some wrs and top rb. They have Edwards and some key pieces on defense coming back but they still have lost a lot while not recruiting at even a top 10 level to replace those veterans. They have a pretty tough schedule overall but Oregon and OSU will be better. OSU returns most of their players on defense along with adding the best safety in Caleb Downs from Bama. OSU’s offense will have Chip Kelly who will have the most talent by a good gap he’s ever had to work with while pairing with Ryan Day who they already are well familiar with each other. OSU now has a mobile qb to go along 2 of the best rb’s in Trey Henderson and Ole Miss transfer Judkins. The oline will be better. Of course OSU has wrs and brought in a top 5 recruiting class with the best wr in years and overall no 1 player from high school in Jeremiah Smith to wr u. OSU is at home against Michigan too. OSU is poised for a natty run especially for 2024. So with all of that you think Michigan is poised for another big 10 title? OSU will be better while Michigan will be worse and Oregon will be real good. Penn St might even be better than Michigan in 2024. If you still think so Clint Eastwood has a crackpipe in his mouth

Oregon should be no higher than 3rd in the Big Ten. They were 11-2 in the conference + conference championship game, beating mostly weak teams and losing twice to a team Michigan shredded in the National Championship game. Now they'll be playing in the Big Ten, a conference that plays defense much better than the Pac-12. They will be lucky to finish third in the conference.
