Thanks for a nice clear, no nonsense guide. Probably a fuel-saver device : I won't go much over 70 for fear of losing them! 😆 My next task is to buy ones exactly right for my Skoda model and year.
Thinking of buying these for my mondeo but using double sided tape instead of clips as i have tinted windows in the back also would these wind deflectors be ok in a car wash, many thanks.
Cheers. Really struggled to push the clips in, another video tells you to put the spikey bit on the outside and it's scratched the inside of the deflector arghhhh, turned the clips the other way and they fitted fine. Thanks for the video :)
What party of the window , do you actually slot the deflector intoo ? I’m clueless I have an mk8 fiesta , and window completely Jams ! If I try and force the window the glass starts too flex
Hey, not sure if you still have the car but did you get any problems with moisture in the car after fitting and did your mirrors power fold ok? I've just ordered these and noticed in the small print "not for car with autofold mirrors" Typical after you have ordered them. I want them for my ST but I'm not paying ford prices. 👍
When the window is closed I can still reach behind my deflectors and touch the metal clip. ( well one side of it anyway ) is this normal? The window seems to have the Clip sitting over the top of it if that makes sense
Hiya. Once fitted did you have any problems with the windows going up and down? Not sure if they jam and you have to stop driving to put the windows up by hand?
Ok so Ive been to a few videos now and it's doing my head in. I've just bought some heko wind deflectors and fitted them. I've double, triple and quadruple checked the instructions that came with them and they 100% show the spike goes against the wind deflector thus meaning it would face the outside of the car and not the inside. But every video I have been to says the spike faces inward and not against the deflector. The instructions for sure say the opposite so which is right?
Just done a video today installing some wind deflectors, editing so not live yet. Didn't use the clips as they were properly solid in the frame. But after installing and putting the windows up I struggled to get the window to close due to the reduced space for the glass. Hope by leaving the windows closed for 24 hours will ease them?
Iv also fitted some to my car with the clips . But over time with the window down . They seem to move out of position to the point they could full out of the window. Do you have any trouble with yours . It was annoying me so much I removed them altogether
573v3 82 yess to solve this. take them out and buy some more double side tape, and run it all the way down the wind-deflector and they won’t fall out again .
Heko stuff is of good quality but they really need to provide good information on installation and the difficulties one could face and how to tuckle I.e the window dont shut so ppl dont get surprisingly frustrated
Yeah it can depend on the cars model. Sometimes people get lucky and they don’t have any issues, but other can have the struggle of having the window not go up
Hello mate. Great video. About to do these on my wife’s 2012 Audi A3 Sline 3 door. How have you found them? Have heard that the clips can catch the windows and cause scratches? Cheers.
Mine have been fine mate, I have taken the clips out thou as they did catch. What I did was added some more double sided tape on them so it sticks extra well.
@@RJ_INLINE Thanks bud 👍🏻 Sorry for swearing ( Audi ) haha I’m a car guy tho so will keep watching your Vids! Did have a focus back in the day to be fair 😂
Better than official video from heko... Much better explanation!!
Thanks
Thanks for that vid... That's was better than the official video👍🏼... Im currently fitting deflectors to my honda🎉🎉🎉🎉
Welcome bro

You're welcome!
Just used this. Really good video mate, thank you. Will be using the short shifter video next!
Sam Quarmby glad it helped mate. And Hopfully that helps with your install of the short shifter😀
Just got some for my mokka your video was really helpful 👌
Thumbs up for the Raiders cap and Vans shirt. Plus the info too.
Haha thanks mate
Just used this video to install mine easily enough. Good video.
Thanks mark !
Awesome video thanks got mine today fitting them later 👌👍👍
Thinking of buying these for my mondeo but using double sided tape instead of clips as i have tinted windows in the back also would these wind deflectors be ok in a car wash, many thanks.
Yeah you can just use the double tape. you’ll find one you bend them in, they won’t come out easily.
Looks sick man!
I’ve always personally preferred the euro ST. They rad looking.
From a fellow ST owner from across the pond.
Cheers bru. 🏎💥
Good little video fitting mine tomorrow you car looks very tidy
Chris Baxter thanks man. Hope it goes smoothly
Excellent video, thanks for posting .
Glad you enjoyed it
What about the uninstall these deflectors?
I am afraid these metal plates will damage door ruber or scratch window?
With the metal clips just use a flat head and pop them out. The deflector will just bend out too 🙃
Cheers.
Really struggled to push the clips in, another video tells you to put the spikey bit on the outside and it's scratched the inside of the deflector arghhhh, turned the clips the other way and they fitted fine. Thanks for the video :)
Glad it helped, and the clips is down to your car I think. As some cars don’t need them in to hold the deflectors in place.
Thanks for the help just purchased some for my ford puma xx
All good. Glad it helped! 😃
What party of the window , do you actually slot the deflector intoo ? I’m clueless I have an mk8 fiesta , and window completely Jams ! If I try and force the window the glass starts too flex
Goes into the runner where the window goes

No had no issue at all. And no but they did fold and had clearance from the deflectors
Hi when the glass goes up does it go into the clip thanks
Yess
When the window is closed I can still reach behind my deflectors and touch the metal clip. ( well one side of it anyway ) is this normal? The window seems to have the Clip sitting over the top of it if that makes sense
As long as the window shuts all the way then this will be fine. You just need to make sure it’s not restricted the window from closing.
Clean and clear video. Thx
Glad it helped
Hiya. Once fitted did you have any problems with the windows going up and down? Not sure if they jam and you have to stop driving to put the windows up by hand?
Once fitted you need to leave windows up for 1 day to avoid this issue
@@RJ_INLINE ideal thank you ever so much for getting back to me. We will put them in when the weather is a bit better? Thank you once again.
Isn't the surface the tape sticks to kind of velvetty?
It is but the double tape sticks to it no problem
@@RJ_INLINE Okay I'll have to get a set. Tired of rain dripping in from the roof and soaking my window switches.

I’ve always done spike to wards the inside of the car . Find the wind deflectors to sit better.

They are a bit of a tight fit mate. By leaving the window up should help them go up and down a lot better.
They are a right pain in the arse to fit. Having problems fitting mine as it keeps catching the window on the edge as it comes up.
I found that the métal clips add air noise in car. I have clase c w204.
The glass does not seal on the metal clips i think. This makes a poor seal
You can run them without the metal clips as long as the tape has stuck.
And I’d love you to do a PFL top grill removal but notice you have a FL so that’s out of the question 🤣
Sam Quarmby I think they come of the same way mate
Awesome video!! How would u get the window to go up if it keeps bouncing back after installation? And will that happen all the time?
If you go up slowly with the window it should go up. Then leave it for a day and then should be fine after that.
l found this job very easy to do on our Mini Countryman.
It is very easy

@@RJ_INLINE thankyou I will give that a try . Cheers mate
573v3 82 just make sure you clean the runner down where the tape sticks
@@RJ_INLINE hi there do you also put the metel clips in aswell or not bother
573v3 82 put the metal clips in also
Heko stuff is of good quality but they really need to provide good information on installation and the difficulties one could face and how to tuckle I.e the window dont shut so ppl dont get surprisingly frustrated
The clip instructions baffle me
Yeah it can depend on the cars model. Sometimes people get lucky and they don’t have any issues, but other can have the struggle of having the window not go up
@@RJ_INLINE i had one back window make a crunching noise when winding back up
.?
Are you meant to be able to see the clip from the outside when they’re installed correctly? Struggling with mine
You will see a little bit of them depending on how deep the channel they sit into is. You might find that you won’t need the clips

Haha brilliant 😂 thanks mate really appreciate it. And was it a focus st ?
What’s that track 7 mins in
Not to sure
Cheers bud.
My windows don’t shut when the clips are in, am I doing it wrong?
Could have clips the wrong way round or they could be bent shut. Make sure they are open so your window can go through it
Great video nice one
Could you just glue them in?
Well you could but if one was to snap, it would be a pain to get them out
Got the same but it came short
Came short. You didn’t order the 5 door one ?
Does anyone have the metal clips scratching their tinted windows or its' just me😢?
Wind noise?
Not really mate. Not that I’ve noticed anyway
Them clips are shite to put 😂 but they are on nice one 👍👍👍
Can people steal them .
Yes.... but there like 25 quid so I can’t imagine there sought after
Yes they could but they will most likely snap them getting them out. When the window is up.
