The comment about Engine DJ being poor at selecting sources is surprising, I can’t comment on Prime or Numark units but the SC6000’s source switching is not only better but way more intuitive than CDJ’s and Pioneer standalone gear. This includes everything from 2TB level installed hardrive, 3 USB ports, SD card, WiFi (Beatport, CloudStorage etc)…
On the all in one controllers, if U decide to go from USB or onboard data as source, over to a computer as your source, for example to use Serato. The entire unit has to shut down and reboot to use the DJ software I love my denon sc live4 with two LC6000's attached via USB..but the reboot to switch to the mixing software is a big let down.

Now, that being said, Rekordbox REALLY needs to get their stems in order, bc my GOODNESS are they way behind! I almost purchased the X-Zed prior to making my purchase of the FLX-10, but I simply couldn't justify the extra grand simply for "Stand Alone" purpose, especially when all 4 channels cannot TRULY be utilized. FLX-10 is something I've owned for about 3 months now, and I truly love it. I cannot justify having 10 grand worth of DJ equipment in my studio (I'm also a producer) simply because it's the "standard". I love the CDJs and the DJM A-9, but anyone could learn and transfer what they learn from a great controller such as the FLX-10 to the club, sans the pads. Thanks again for all you do. One final comment: I have not (nor will I until I get the okay from you) plugged my Twitch channel in here. Is that unacceptable on this stream? About Engine DJ stand alone stems, i think is posible because in music are using exactly the same cpu board on akai mpc and version 3.0 already have stand alone stem separation. So about me is just about time to see stems on all the engine dj os consoles.

Hey Phil, I can tell you that Virtual Dj and Algoriddim Dj pro work fine with the Denon Prime Go,,, Virtual Dj allows the use of the Denon Prime Go built in screen where Dj Pro currently doesn’t support the use of the built in screen. Having said that, I’m currently using the Go with Alogoriddim paired to my iPad Air and it works perfectly, in fact I initially bought it as a back up to my Rane One but now the Rane One takes a back seat.. The inbuilt screen not worry me too much as I prefer the size of the iPad screen.
@digitaldjtips BTW, the pad actually do something on the XZ even if it's not showing numbers! 😉 I have A9 and on left is shorter time while on the right side is 1 beat (on the pad). I supose is the same thing on 900 nxs 2 and also on XZ pad that's why you have a line and not squares with timing!

I’m a big fan of DJay Pro and recently got the Mixtour in. I’ve been thinking of getting something like the Akai LPD8 to have dedicated control for the volume on channels 3/4 and I saw someone online who had assigned the pitch fader controls to an encoder. Does anyone have any experience with that? Any tips, tricks, or other small midi controller suggestions for something like this?

No, is from the channel... I wanted to point this out many times, but I didn't want to upset anyone. The highs are a bit lacking and there are too many low mids. I always use the EQ on the mixer when I watch this channel to increase intelligibility! Maybe is just from the frequency response of the mic that is used... LE - Or the position of the mic.

On DDJ 1000 you can only adjust the timing with the "BEAT" arrows. You don't have a pad or continuous "TIME" knob.

Any small midi controller can easily be mapped to djay, its Midi mapping is quite intuitive
