They have the freedom to do what they want. i think the message is pretty clear , until democrats dont become a worker rights party and drop identity politics people will protest vote right wing populist , because they will at least pretend to do something about economy , Harris said when point blank asked how she would be different than Biden that she wouldnt do a single thing differently, but prices are up and unless youre in one of the rare industries like tech where wages have kept up with inflation, youre in a world of hurt , people have historically always chosen right wing populism when times are tough , problem is its usually followed by real leftist worker rights movement, but im afraid democratic establishment simply wont allow for that to be the counter to right wing populism , because neoliberals them selves would rather shake hands with trump than bernie when it comes to actually passing policies that help your average Joe (Kamala was campaigning on raining in immigration and having most lethal military, instead of universal healthcare)

Inflation and immigration really hurt Harris. Inflation has come down, and the US managed it better than any other country, but the problem is that prices are still high, especially on groceries, and this hurts people who are lower on the socioeconomic scale. For these people, all the other good economic news means very little. On immigration, Dems/Progressive have to find an answer. Making the economic argument that immigrants take jobs that Americans don't want and support the economy does not work. The argument that we are a nation of immigrants and should continue our history of welcoming people to this country does not work. Trump demonized immigrants and still increased his margins with Latino voters. Biden desperately wanted to sign the Lankford bill, but Trump adroitly knocked it out. Obama understood the political pitfalls of immigration and earned the name Deporter and Chief. We have to figure this issue out, or we will keep losing elections.
Gaza cost her the election. Dems won Senate races down ballot in MI, WI, PA. Harris lost in those same states by a lower margin than the number of Muslim voters in each of those states. Those voters appear to have voted downballot.

They have the freedom to do what they want. Right? When he was associated with Trump I thought he was a complete moron. Now, having seen him on his own, away from Trump, he is bright and funny and extremely personable. He's also devastatingly honest about Trump. I don't know what happened.
Scaramucci got fired not because he disagreed with Trump, but because he gave a disastrous interview where he called the head of the RNC a “paranoid schizophrenic”. He’s got a big mouth and is undisciplined. Sorta like Trump. Makes sense they’d dislike one another.

Paltry consolation, I know, but you're not alone in feeling that way at the moment. And if your orange Messiah tanks the economy with his tariffs, is it ok if Scott talks around that? Or would that be "too much politics" for you? I'm interested in what (or who) might tank the markets. We know Lina Kahn is gone, anyone want to bet if Trump fires Powell?
Well Trump has made politics stick constantly in the cycle because of his egregious behavior.
@@2011hwalkerscrew you. Maybe just maybe many of us listeners don’t want nonstop politics from a non politics podcast regardless of what’s happening outside.
Damn. Ed! What a speech. Bravo! 100%
💯
Delusional hahaha
Scott and Ed, this is one of your best podcasts !
Well done you guys. Thank you. This is why we work out, learn, and volunteer for hardship. These things test our metal and prepare us for hard times.
As human, hard times may be here. Stay calm, but vigilant. Lets look out for each other and be the best we can be. It will be alright. I hope.
Anthony Scaramucci is a decent individual!!
I have just found your pod . I was following Scaramucci. This episode has informed me, moved me and motivated me to follow you and your financial insights. Particularly in these next few years. And I like your values.
No mention of Peter Thiel and his agenda.
They breezed by it, but they mentioned it.
As the saying goes, living well is the best revenge. We'll swim the best we can in this ocean and hope the tide changes soon. Cheers, Ed.
Wow…what a show! Anthony just killed it with his knowledge and explanation. He’s right….nationalistic tendencies and goals by governments have always failed. We need more people, not less continuing to make America the rich, diverse, immigrant loaded masterpiece it has always been.
Always interesting and articulate, Anthony. Thanks.
Wow! I'm just amazed at Anthony's testimony. Bravo!
That was a brilliant analysis by Anthony Scaramucci!
Damn, what an interesting interview! This guy is bright, articulate and insightful. BRAVO to Mr. Scaramucci!
Depth of history from Mr. Scaramucci pleasantly surprised me and its always great listening to such informative and intelligent conversations
I feel and thought similarly. I thought there's no way we elect Trump after a failed campaign for a 3rd attempt. I thought it was too many and everyone would be tired of him being in our lives.
@@Wraith983 You underestimated the stupidity of the American public. I did the same thing. Visible minorities voted for him against their best interests, women voted for him against their best interests. The issues and the dangers for these people were very clearly outlined. The only reason for them to still vote for him is simply stupidity.
IMO one of the main reasons the dems lost is because Biden allowed the progressive wing to take over his agendas. People wanted a moderate in office, not a someone that is part of a party associated with the defund the police nonsense, trans rights being shoved into your face 24/7, and the failure to respond to the border crossing fiasco. This allowed the maga people to amplify the msg that it is them that will solve these immediate issues, not the democrats.
Always love Scaramucci's insights. I agree that there needs to be reconciliation, but America is a long way from that. Nor do i see an improvement in the culture war with Trump in power. Hope I'm wrong.
Culture war and polarization is about to get a whole lot worse.
I agree with that young man 100%. I feel the same way about that Convicted Felon. I won't even say his name anymore.
I do understand what Ed is saying. I feel the same.
I was waiting for this and 12 seconds in lmaooo
Let’s go!
Thank you Ed❤
Trump lives in Ed’s head rent free 😂😂
Why would you want someone in office just because they are a woman??? Thought y’all were smarter than that
You voted for a rapist racist. Please explain. “They’re eating the dogs.”
Those voters appear to have voted downballot.
this guy get its. 🙏
Private enterprise grows food. Groceries are private, not government jobs.
Does trump have a plan to nationalize and tax people to give away public foods? I don’t understand the republicans complaining about food prices
Obama doubled down on deporting illegals because they hurt union workers, he was right
@@ITTester-o2mNo he doesn't get it. Prices aren't going to fall under Trump or anyone. People don't understand inflation, nor do they even look at the trend data.
Keep losing elections? The Dems won the presidency from Trump like four years ago. Just stop it.
People don't understand democracy, economics, immigration et al. And every four years everyone pretends they do.
The electoral college is the right system for all the wrong reasons and poorly executed. We need an electoral college elected locally with the people's needs as their only mandate. They should be well paid for the job - set for life. And punished for any future corruption. Those people should interview and choose the president. End this reality TV show approach to deciding important matters.
Thank you for this. I appreciate the discussion.
My god, it baffles me how we can see things so differently. To me, Trump’s election is a powerful indication that America has rejected the absurdities often associated with modern left wing politics economic and otherwise.
By your comment alone I can tell which right wing media you consume.
Womens' reproductive health is an "absurdity often associated with modern left wing politics"?
WHAT ED SAID. !!! 100X every word.
