Say what! I get a shoutout! Well this will be a Merry Christmas after all! I'm going to go tell my family that I got a shoutout by the amazingly handsome/talented/generous Retro Revisited.
segaofmyhouse Ha, no problem! Incidentally I once paid 10p for a GBA game that had its label ripped off - it turned out to be a Yu-Gi-Oh title. Worst 10p I've ever spent (maybe).
I had this game when I was a kid, it was really fun to play when I was in the car, I remember the pixel art of this game being really good, and really cute, i really like the victory and game over screens, lot's of detail and character in those... well except for the Grinch's victory screen, it looks uncomfortably "suggestive", maybe it was just me, but that pose that the Grinch does was way too seductive. *shivers*
Besides this, Konami also released a fun game based off of The Mummy (90s remake), but doesn't really feel like it took much from the source-material outside of characters and ends up feeling like a late-Famicom exclusive release. Never mind, saw you mentioned it at the end.
Metal Gear Solid with Christmas's most favorite villain?.....fucking awesome!!!! Too bad it was rated "E for Everyone", because if it wasn't, you could have the Grinch start snapping some Christmas necks while "laughing all the way" all Solid Snake Style and such....but....then again no. If he did that...then there would be no singing Who's left at the end of the story to show him the error of his ways and the true meaning of Christmas which I guess is killing is bad and ....giving is....good? Or so I have been told. I have been raised very Catholic after all, which explains why I've left such a twisted diabolical comment in the first place, and why I would ever actually get off on a ficticious children's storybook character committing a yuletide mass murder killing spree! Either way, great vid as always and happy Christmas :-D
Justin Bailey I would certainly like to see your take on the Grinch...perhaps it could be titled the 'alternative edition.' Anyway thanks for the kind words, and have a great Christmas too!
I will not stand by and listen to you deface Konami over their awful, awful line up of Yu-Gi-Oh games. Though it does make me wonder why the company that makes Yu-Gi-Oh cards keeps going back to Konami for games, to my knowledge the only one worth playing is Yu-Gi-Oh GX Duel Academy on the GBA. The rest are quite awful.
