- Today's video is different from my normal ones. I've been a little too positive lately, so today I decided to get on here and roast this terrible looking star wars game, along with all of Ubisoft by extension.
Like i said in my video. If we reach 500 subs by AUG 30, I'll review this game...eventually (sweet baby jesus and Jack Daniels, help me if that actually happens)

@sadge0 Blue yeti makes me wanna cry. I plan on getting a better mic eventually, but at the current moment, I have already invested around $ 200 in equipment for this channel and can't justify any more until I start getting a return

@nicholasJcarney that's extremely surprising. I still hop on for the odd match here and there, but overall, I don't like the direction the game is going. The only reason I even get the new ops is cause I sold all my black ice skins on the R6 marketplace

The hip hop track playing over the "we wuz samurayz n shieet" gameplay was so unbelievably funny and racist I almost gave ubisoft credit for it if I didn't know they were so tone deaf

One: the hip hop in AC Shadows is even worse when you consider that this isn't just a feudal Japanese character, it was for an AFRICAN, NOT AFRICAN AMERICAN PERSON. Like, black American culture includes a lot of hip hop, but this is a whole other level of stereotyping.
Two: Ubisoft actually uses generative AI for their development/writing tools, so it's fair to say this could well have been partially written by ChatGPT.

A good part of the reason why I hated black panther in the mcu so much.
Wakanda is suppossed to be an african nation yet in the first few minutes it has hip hop, basketball, and slavery.
They also insulted islam with the token sharia terrorists, which is highly offensive to africans considering half of africa is muslim and the half that isn't usually has large muslim minority populations.
Another issue is that they butchered the lore completely from the comics.
They turned comics wakanda which was advanced using sensible weaponry like heavy armor, machine guns, and plasma rifles to having sonic spears.
They also did things like portray wakanda using a south african languague which makes no sense because wakanda in the lore is in upper east africa.
Overall the mcu black panther is a clear example of this kind of pandering.
The movie wasn't a bad movie considering the writing itsself wasn't horrible, but it was a bad black panther movie, it failed to bring the comics to life and do an african character correctly.
@@resentfuldragon MCU changed a lot of things for the worse in an effort to appeal to bigger audiences. Drax is probably the worst example of the comics not matching the character at all.

You made the amazing point I have been saying for years for Assassin's creed games, WE KNOW THEY'RE NOT ACCURATE, but the main protag was ALWAYS, a character not based off an actual historical character. You always played a ghost in history, and interacted with real people, yes, but you WERE NEVER a real historical figure.

I hate that we can’t customize our troops further than just changing paint on their body, FO officers being strictly female is so weird

All my old school SW fan friends who were looking forward to this game gave up on it after the gameplay reveal. I agree it will probably do well but not necessarily because SW fans will consume anything with SW on it, especially after the abomination that was the acolyte.

If you like smooth and flashy parkour without the rpg bs, play unity. Sure, it was rough at launch, but most glitches were patched or can be fixed by changing some settings.

Its sad, but you're right that this game won't financially fail. AAA games are like Fifa. No matter how hated they are by gamers, their market are normies who barely give a damn about the details. As long as the money flows, there's not much incentive for AAA devs to please any other, more critical, demographic. Best way we can treat Ubisoft is to realize their games are no longer for us.

Ever notice how the in game microtransaction store never breaks, works flawlessly everytime and always fixes it's self but yet the rest of the glitches in the game almost never get patched unless they cause the company to lose money directly? Funny how battle passes are much easier to understand than the free content for the unpaid players. Money and greed effects all areas of the game for all players and it's very obvious what a companies true intentions are when they fk players over with anti consumer tactics.

A lot of complaints are that they race swapped yuska. He wasn't historically African, hell he wasn't even a samurai. In all of the games before shadows the main character was always a native to the country the game was taken place in. Except in the last chap of the ezio saga where you were ezio and you were in a foreign country. Also ubi doubled down on lying out their asses to the fanbase on every turn. There's a handful of other reasons why people have been collectively complained on top of all this.

Whatever it'll be, Outlaws is just going to be another Ubisoft open world game at it's core lol, every single formula that has been present since Far Cry 3 would be present in the game.

Ive been telling people for years. You can complain all you want, but if people keep buying this shit, theyll keep making it. People bought these games, so ubisoft keep making them.
Go back in time and play some quality games. The first halos, mass effect, far cry 3, and so on. Or even play newer games that are actually good, like elden ring and god of war. When people stop buying shit, theyll stop making shit.

Rule of Thumb in my life: If a game, movie, show, manga, magazine, website, person (especially this), anything and everything, if ANYTHING shows even the slightest tiny crack of being associated with even a tiny crack of woke agenda or some gay agenda snuck in, I pass. I do not complain, I do not profess, I do nothing except not give it a single penny or support it in any manner. I will never, ever... ever.... EVER give anything even remotely similar anything. As far as I am concerned, they are the enemy to the west and to even give them one penny should never happen.
The sooner people realize boycotting them with their wallet will assure their destruction, the better. Seriously though, that character model for the MC is hideous. It is close to Mary Jane from the Spiderman 2 game bad.

The more and more I keep hearing about the new "AAA" games, the more and more it drives me to say "screw it" and develop indie.
But, knowing myself, I would only settle for making quality that an AAA game studio is "supposed" to make. And, that, would result in pushing myself to the brink and giving up after about a year of burnout.
Wait - I forgot - they're called "AAAA" games now.
@DavemanTCM to be honest, almost every mainstream creative institution out there is falling apart. Right now is probably the best time for creatives to get out there and try. Within reason of course, don't go 100k in debt to make a game that sells 100 copies
