O.K.T Was it a puppy? Because all puppys can be off leash technically since they are so clingy. BUT no sighthounds should be off leash since they will chase pretty much anything that moves. One of the most common deaths when it comes to sighthounds is by being run over because they ran out in the street chasing something. So be a responsible doggy parent and don't let your dog off leash unless it's fenced in.

first rule of borzoi. NEVER EVER off leash! Only if fenced in! They will get run over by cars or something like that.
They can be off leash it took about 2 days for me to train my borzoi off leash walking on my side...
