@@SixNineFourTwenty Name a single foreshadowing of this in the original series. Why would the writers leave it out if they intended this from the start?
For example: Aang mentions metalbending in the drill before Toph invents it and blueprints for this machine was shown in season 1 episode 17. Everything except this is foreshadowed, even Ty Lee and Mai's betrayal, but I won't get into that. Which leads me to believe that the thing about Kyoshi was likely made up later on.
@@ari3903 kyoshi's love life was simply not important to the story of ATLA how would her being bisexual help defeat the firelord. it wasn't mentioned because it wasn't important at the moment. Even if she was rewritten is that really a problem? characters are rewritten all the time but truth is I don't know what the writers originally wanted and neither do you so stop acting like it.

I think that was the hint by the writers, but cause its a "kids" show and interest groups, some people are overly sensitive and opposed to such themes they cant be obvious...(they are wrong imo but thats an opinion), the last scene was super controversial as is and is one of the first major scenes like that in a "kids" series in North America

When I saw that last ep with Korra and asami going to the spirit portal together I was screaming with happiness bc I shipped them from the start UpU
On UA-cam I saw a random background in a video that was the final scene of them holding hands, and then I shipped them, and then I was worried they wouldn't get together and that a fan, and a shipper, made that picture and it wasn't canon, and then like two hours ago I finally got to the finally, and I couldn't be more happy. AND NOW KYAS GAY TOO!!! I have never been happier.
I knew Asami was into Korra when she offered to go an accompany her to the South Pole during her recovery. Like the girl had a company to run but she’s willing to drop everything and go to the freezing south just to keep Korra company? Oh yeah, I was sure she was into her. Then Korra only wrote to her and no one else. I was pretty sure they liked each other but I didn’t expect anything to happen precisely because it was a kids’ cartoon. Glad to know they got their happy ending.

This show paved the way for shows like Steven Universe, She Ra, and The Owl House, and for that i am so grateful. I never personally cared too much for cartoons up until recently, because i couldnt ocnnect to them. With several new shows now starring wlw couples and characters, i (at 16 years old) love cartoons like this. I cry all the time watching the final scene of LOK, watching the iconic Catradora kiss in she ra, and the Grom night dance on The Owl House. All of this is possible because of this show, I love it.

You're demoralizing an entire group of people, making them seem and feel worthless, that they dont matter etc. Therefore less of a chance for an uprising to happen, making blind obedience and the like. From a moral stand point bad. From a dictatorship and war stand point not a bad idea. So long as he managed to keep the people under control which it seemed like he had been able to do and was probably part of the way fire nation became as strong a military as it was and why the war effort basically went as well as it did. I mean if the people are so demoralized they wont fight back at the home area you can jist focus purely on war on all the other fronts.
