Currently, my least favorite is that it doesn’t require multicrew to bomb things or survive being attacked since it can just out turn fighters at high speed. Favorite currently is pretty much everything else about it. It just needs to be less single player oriented.
What draws me to the A2 above everything else is it's flexibility. Outside of larger, more crew demanding combat ships like the Polaris, the A2 is very unique due to it's ability to do full scale battle one day, and become a full blown merchant ship the very next. Then provide relief supplies that following day. It has the scu to bring a nice paycheck, the hull armor to take a hit and the guns to make a sniveling pirate think twice before trying to launch an attack. There aren't many war ships out there that can make money outside of combat right now like the A2 can. And inside of combat, it's a ship that demands the attention of the enemy lest they go up in smoke. Then, there's the future possibility of bombing contracts and other flash support contracts. I've had a hard time stomaching the price but I've no doubt every owner of the A2 will see it's use AND ability grow like a fine wine.
@@RedLir_Live I don't know how long you've been playing or your situation, but the BMM made for a GREAT upgrade path to the A2. If I pull the trigger, my A2 will have a melt value of $525. If I wait and luck up during the next BMM price increase, I could get it for possibly $350. It all depends on how CiG works the system. They don't seem to like us getting expensive ships for dirt cheap anymore..... So that might be a thing of the past I'm afraid.
I've been around since Jan 2016. I've definitely had some 'sleeper' upgrade paths for sure. I was lucky enough to grab the BMM when it was $250 back in the day. The A2 I own was through the magic of 0$ Crucible to Carrack CCU-ing that gave me a good discount on the A2 upgrade years later because the Carrack jumped up so high. Cheers!
Seeing and entering this ship for the first time reminded me of loading up into a C5 with all are HMMWV. Crusader ships are probably my favorite designed ships in the game
Personally, I dont have the money or specs to play, but I do enjoy watching creators. The level of detail when reviewing the ships is super cools. new sub gained! Edit: imagine housing a couple snubs in the cargo area for even more firepower
Hello Red, I was just checking out Star citizen content. Particularly about the A2 just because. Anyways I watched until the end of the video and really enjoyed it. It was very well done and professional so I assumed you had a decent sub count. I was very surprised it wasn't what I assumed. Trust me I know the pain of getting subs all to well. Honestly it has alot to do with luck and hitting the right moment. I have no doubt you will have a decent following, you really did an excellent job.
This ship outDPSes the Hammerhead, and is the current highest DPS ship in the game, even before including bombs. People wanting a hammerhead should consider this since it has more utility and is less than half the price in game. HH turrets are better against fighters due to projectile velocity though.
I have the C2 and am using it to build funds for the A2. Sexy beast, the A2. I don't see a real need for the M2 in my fleet as between the C2 and A2, all my needs are met.
Love the Hercules, I run the c2 since I solo but I wanna get the A2 so I need to find an accompanying crew. Tbh I need to learn more about the game I primarily do cargo runs never any ground combat, sometimes a bounty or listening device missions
I really feel like the M2 should have at least the same amount of turrets that the A2 has as the A2 has the bombs as well. Really the turret configurations should be swapped around to make the lineup more viable as currently the A2 has it all bar the cargo space
TBH the remote gun / gunner assignment is horrible, hope theyll change that... those 2 single guns on its belly should belong to the pilot. Same with the 2 remotes on its belly, they should belong to one gunner instead of needing 2. Pilot, copilot and 2 gunners would be fine for me... 4 gunner is way to much for that ship.
My A2 came stock with MSD 313 missile racks and I cant seem to figure out how to equip the MOABs. No matter what I do I can't seem to find out why theyre missing from the bomb racks inside the ship
5:12 Thats pretty poor IMO. Theres plenty of room for at least another 1-2 rows on top of the cargo. Kinda sad - its a straight no shame balance/nerf from CIG.
Once again the the turret placement on a big ship sucks. And this is a military ship. The central top turret can only fire backwards just like the c2 and m2. But could be relocated to the highest point of the ship so it can fire forward and back.
What is your favorite and least favorite aspect of the A2 bomber currently?
It doesn't have auto gimbal bombs.

You forgpt to mention you can shoot a ballista turret from the front ramp mid flight ;)

I love it for all the same reasons. As for price, it's hefty for sure. Hopefully they'll add it in game to one of the ship shops soon!

Thanks for the kind words! Cheers!
Great and very informative video!
I hope at some point there'll be another bomb loadout that instead it's equipped with torpedoes...
I suspect they may want the Retaliator or even Polaris to fill that role, but we can always hope!
Really enjoyed the video RedLir! Keep them coming!
Thank you!
All these Crusader ships are great. I have the C2 and it is a bad ass ship for being a cargo hauler.
imagine changing those bomb bays for torpedo launchers. The perfect ship.
This was great. Thanks for posting.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I think it should have four round rotary launchers on each side. They can fit at least four of those bombs in that amount of space

Current king of xenothreat, if you can get the crew to man the turrets.

great walkthrough
Honestly with all the size 5 guns on this thing, it sorta looks like a Redeemer with cargo space and a bomb on board. Seems pretty good honestly

Nice review but how about it's flight characteristics?! You can't miss that out on a review XD
For me it's very complicated to choose wich Hercule to buy as a goal, c2, m2, a2 all are good but so different, how we choose.
Nices and Concise!
Thanks!
Let's just say I made a whole server become wary of the skies when I've blown people up with the A2 in Jumptown xD
Target destroyed

How is your game lookin so clean in the recording? you using an elgato?
Im new still and tryna figure out how to upgrade the weapons on this shit has been a nightmare for me

Anyone else not getting the crosshair for bombing?
Great video.
could you also put in size 10 torpedos? is that a thing? or is it only capable of planetary bombing?
No torpedos as of yet. Hard to say if they will ever allow it.

You gotta account reset if you take the racks out rn.
it will fit a tank, balista and a dragonfly.
problem is you cant buy it in game using UEC. Because of that i ended up buying the M2 and was alittle let down that the M2 cant drop bombs.. :/
I think it's a bug that it's not currently available. It should be purchasable at Orison in the Crusader shop.
Oh WAIT, it's RedLir!! *sad BV 238 noises*
Hey! At least it's a bomber though~ lol
@@RedLir_Live Man I got into Star Citizen at last.
@@RedLir_Live I'm really enjoying the 30Ks
where can i buy it in game?
Should be the crusader showroom on in Orison but ive heard its missing in 3.17.1 ( bug)
all hercules variants should have the same amount of beds as this ship
JT is safe again
Pro tip: Don't do any bird watching at JT when A2s are inbound...
ground game is gonna need a buff if a single A2 can one-click everything away in a 10km radius
It's pretty devastating. The ballistas we encountered were a pretty strong counter, too. Early days for air vs. ground warfare!
"Tonk".... LOL

I wonder if it was a balance decision in their minds
@@RedLir_Live that's exactly what it was. Forced vulnerability. Sometimes I wish they'd stop doing that but I get it. It sucks but I get it lol.
Nobody is going to point out he calls Tanks Tonks. haha

Wtf is a TONK!!?
There's history there. Google it.
It's a great ship, but overpriced.
It’s alright for its price
can u gift me a carack?
Sorry, it's currently in the shop!
