Is this the best floor cleaner mop? And the best floor cleaner Australia has? It's very likely the best mop we've seen yet, and best floor cleaner machine.
It's expected to do well in best mop for floor cleaning, best mop for hardwood floors and best mop for tile floors categories.
In this video you'll:

Now put it in a robot, Dyson
R2 G1
this is really impressive Dyson! im really looking forward to seeing it in an actual real review by other people and also, when its inside of a robot! Keep it up Dyson!!!
Should get the unit for a full review in a couple of weeks.
Would this be appropriate for hardwood floors? IT doesn't look like it leaves much water on the floor after cleaning?
Yes, it's fine for hardwood floors. It doesn't actively dry (like some mop/vacuum combos do), but also didn't seem to leave much water. Will know more once I can run tests at home.
They’re late to the market. But their fans will act like this is the best thing ever. I think they waited for all the different types of models of other companies to come out and just combined some features but even then there are others that do more.
Indeed, quite a few people have dropped alternatives in the comments that are doing similar things.
Ever tried wiping the camera lens?
I'm actually getting a new one in coming weeks. This camera keeps under-performing in low light. And the set-up they had was all mood lighting.
Lmao
😂😂😂😂😂
May I ask, is there suction? Or just it just squeezes the dirty water off the roller ? Thank you
No suction or air flow in this device, it's all based on the mechanics of the water movement.
Willl be waiting for Vacuum Wars to test this one out
Or the spin off, mopping wars.
So where can we watch him do the full announcement and demo?
Sorry, still got to edit it up and put live. Will try and do today for you.
How does this compare the the bissell crosswave series ?
Unfortunately I'm unfamiliar with the Bissell range, so can't give you an accurate comparison. Notable price difference though. Even if it comes close to being as good it would be tempting.
@@motivatedtravel would be good content to review I've used Bissell series for a long time and many models and this seems to be similar to what they have from years ago. Bissell now has a steam version too, so it is mega clean imo.
@@SpardaSPWas thinking the same thing, I might see if I can get in touch with them.
How does it remove oils from cooking on the floor? Can use a detergent with the water?
Yes, you can put detergent in.
Can you put floor cleaner in this? Not thriled about just using water.
Yes, they said that was fine. In fact, many of the team at the event said they did just that.
What's the weight of this machine?
4.9kg plus up to 1kg of water
4•9 kgs including the water or only the machine?
How does it do with hair and fur?
Interestingly, they didn't have that kind of material on hand for the demo. Something I will certainly be testing when I get a unit at home!
@@motivatedtravel Which means it can't deal with the hair very well. Unsurprising seeing how it's constructed.
@@1stRanger You could be right. Although surely they thought of that. I've got pet hair all over my floor, so will know quick enough.
@@motivatedtravel If you watch their cleaning guide for this thing right here on UA-cam, you’ll see. :)
@@1stRanger You come to your conclusion because of what? And without seeing the machine up close you can determine how it is constructed? You must be a genius.
Just get a Tineco S7 Pro which is has a better dirty water extraction system
Might have to see if I can get one and test side by side.
They should’ve added an auto mode if it detected more debris it could add more water by itself
Not a bad call. Seen this on other wet-dry vacs. Auto modes can go either way though; detection system has to be really good.
7:00 holy God!😮😮
Yeah, hard not to be impressed. That was vegemite, too!
@@motivatedtravelI’ve seen something similar but for atleast 2 3 strokes passes. To had in cleared in a single pass + slightly dried/even water is impressive.
Yes he is🙏
And in all honesty they should compare to the market leader atm not to a mop and bucket! That problem has been solved. It’s like pharmaceuticals comparing their pills to placebo pills and not the best drug currently on the market smh
Yes and no. I get your point and agree to an extent, but I can see their point, too. Which was that 70% (I think that's what they said) of people still use a mop and bucket. So they're talking to people that haven't upgraded yet, rather than people who have.
What about long hairs ?
Stay tuned, as soon as I get one in I will be testing such things and going live with a review.
Does it sanitize dog urine?
You can put anything you want in the water to further santise beyond the water cleaning.
And turns it into wine.
@@1stRanger Haha, upgrade for the future Pro model?
Sand?
Will ned to test further, but I think it will be sweet based on what I've seen.
Fur balls?
Yes I do
The trouble is, you’ve spent so much on it, you wouldn’t wanna use it on pet vomit or pet poo- you’d end up doing it all manually … however this does looks really clever at what it does. Great for restaurants/ cafes.
Also- if you dropped an entire meal on the floor( kids do this lots) - you’d clean most of it up manually in order to avoid the tray getting clogged.
I think you can’t really beat ‘hands’ when it comes to this type of problem but for disabled/ elderly people- this is perfect. 👌🏼 if I had the money and a larger house, I would definitely get one though. But I wouldn’t let it do pet poo/ vomit 😂
That's super interesting perspective. I thought I would be cool with it, but now that I'm actually thinking about poo (not urine) maybe I wouldn't. I reckon I would pick up the chunks (visuals?) with something, then use the WashG1, lol.
I‘ve bought this machine because I have a bunch of indoor cats and a crook back. Cleaning up cat vomit is the main reason why I wanted it. A friend in a similar situation with even more pets uses the machine to get rid of vomit. Urine is fine too but poo is a different matter. Obviously.
@@wernerschroer6138 Good feedback, thank you for adding it to the conversation.
Dyson could take a page out of Apple’s book…Apple has the BEST customer service EVER!! On the other hand, Dyson customer reps must be at a lower level of expertise, with training to keep the complains at a distance…put them on hold, and tell them help is on its way!
I think everyone has different experiences. I've had some of my worst customer service experiences ever with Apple in the past, for example.
@@motivatedtravel are you getting paid by Dyson? If so, id be a better judge of their products etc.
@@maxinegeorge6359 No, I don't get paid by anyone who is covered on this channel. Do you get paid by Apple?
@@motivatedtravel no!
No disrespect here. For once…can’t we focus on the shortcomings of these overpriced products? Why can’t Dyson develop all of its vacuums with a single off/on button(except for one-V12)? Dyson has gotten too big for its breaches. You could be a game changer for so many. You certainly have developed a following. It’s so, so difficult to continually press a button to do up to 60 minutes of work. Have a very pleasant day.
They copied kärcher
Few brands with similar designs.
Karcher doesn't have secondary spinning brushes that scrape stuff off the fabric roller, Karcher just has a metal bar to squeeze the water off instead
Pas pratique. Pourquoi faire plusieurs récipients pour le sale, surtout tout en bas... ça va faire un flop à mon avis
Il n'y a qu'un seul conteneur sale. Puis le filtre, qui récupère tous les éléments solides.
If you have problems, BETTER CALL SAUL! DYSON HAS THE ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! You buy, it malfunctions…you are STUCK. I suggest that you open your window and throw out $1000…you’ll do yourself a favor. Talk to those waiting for parts and you’ll do yourself a favor! Further, customers service reps are masters at misleading!
I haven't had to deal with it myself, but based on your experience, doesn't sound like I want to.
Next time i spill some vegemite on my kitchen floor I'll go out and buy one 😅 What a complete waste of money. Everyone spills food and muck on the kitchen floor. Especially when you have kids and animals. This mop would be out of the cupboard every 5 minutes in my house. Remember mechanical gadgets break at some point ! Sorry I'll just carry on using the traditional methods the the whole world has been using forever and put the money to something more practical. This is definitely for paranoid people with a dirt phobia. Get real Dyson.
It's a luxury item for sure, but also, not everyone is fully able bodied. If I have to go down to clean something off the ground, I'm always worried that I may not get back up due to my back. That's what I'm most excited about. Being able to do a tonne of little cleans without putting my body in a position it hates.
1000 for something I could do with a paper towel?
Yeah, bit of a first-world item!
So you wash your dirty clothes by hand or do you use an aid called washing machine? Do you use a dishwasher? If yes, why? We all have different needs and what’s perfect for me might not be what you like. Having chronic back problems means that bending down frequently to clean up the floor can cost me a fortune by ending up in hospital. Half a dozen indoor cats will make sure that hopefully, my new WashG1 will make my life much easier. And yes, I’ve tried other devices but none of them did what I had hoped for. Earlier today my Dyson arrived and I gave it a quick try on Lino in my kitchen. All I can say is so far that my cats are not scared of the noise and the floor looks surprisingly clean.
