I just wrapped my C6 center console with the carbon fiber wrap, looks fantastic, it’s not easy if you’ve never wrapped anything , but worth it. Now I’m doing around the gauge cluster , as you did.

The carbon fiber looks great John, I love that steering wheel. You did a great job on all the wraps, I’ve seen some pretty hack jobs and yours looks flawless. I guess the OCD pays off!

Yes i agree wraps if done correctly should look like a factory part thats my perspective on it. The idea of someone else taking a razor blade to my ZR1. No thanks! haha

New Hampshire is a nice place where to ride this car. Beautiful landscapes! I really like your state motto: Live free or die! How did you make it to appear on your dashboard? You cover a lot of small details that count for driving experience. The old steering wheel has nothing to do with the new one! Wow, that is a big difference! Thanks for sharing!

Where did you get the wrapping around your steering wheel cruise/radio controls? Did you do them yourself? Can u buy those steering wheel inserts separately ?

What is the name of the aftermarket steering wheel?
You have to get the Lloyd Floor Matts for both front and trunk with the customized Zr1 logo or Corvette Logo! Its make the interior look complete!
Armando i am not a fan of the Llyods mats, the subdued factory ones are my favorite. I also do not like overly badging a car. But I actually did purchase them for the car and gave them a try a few years back. And they do not match the rest of the factory carpet or color and the piping/stitching on the outer border looked terrible on 2 different sets i tried out. And it just looked out of place. So i just went back to factory and i am very happy. Thanks for watching!

Are you able to replace the thing in the middle of the wheel that says zr1?
yes but you have to take apart the airbag module its in the way. theres tabs that fold over that hold in that center emblem
I wrapped my center console (2007). Total PITA!!! Not like yours, large sweeps and much more on sides. Driver side lower extends towards footwell. Not happy with it (even has patches) , tried twice. Will try 1 more time when I upgrade radio.

Yes steering wheel was purchased that way. Paddles are not functional but still look cool.

Shift nob is awful
I keep hoping that someday, somewhere, somebody, will modify their C6 with some sound abatement for all of the cheap plastic parts of the interior. Instead, all that is done here is yet another homage to the OVERUSE of carbon fiber CRAP. Carbon fiber is nothing but an enhancement to fiberglass technology. It is different material bonded together by different means, and is slightly stronger than fiberglass. Otherwise, it is the same concept. Big deal. I think it is as ugly as sin. I predict that someday, auto manufacturers and designers will ridicule this trend. If it were mine, I'd undo it all. I think it proves the point of many non-corvette owners say about us, that we are just too full of ourselves and too self-absorbed. That we have the kind of time, money, and effort, to pursue appearance OVER performance. I apologize for being mean and hypercritical but it's getting to me.
Sounds like what typical people that cant afford a corvette ZR1 say. Carbon fiber when done tastefully looks great. Its the people that put corvette logo everywhere and replace every interior panel and switch with the same body color is what look terrible and tacky.
