25 Min Full Body Pilates with Yoga Block

  • Hey loves! Today we will be using a yoga block but feel free to use a book or anything you find suitable, can also do it propless! This is very grounded so great for anyone with knee or wrist pain/ beginners. Feel free to run it through a second time or add on another video depending on how you feel after.     About me:
    I am a Balanced Body certified Pilates instructor and Nutritionist living in NYC. I found Pilates after my diagnosis with EDS so I totally get working with injuries and the importance of working with our bodies instead of against it. I have been teaching for 6 years and am constantly amazed at how Pilates can change our bodies and our daily lives. Look forward to moving and grooving with you all :)

    Went to my first yoga class this week and searched what I could do with my block ! I loveeeed this workout never heard of it .

    I find a lot of people who do workout videos really Boring, but I find you interesting. Your voice is calming to listen to and the workout is not that hard for me to do I’m doing to try do this workout 3-4 times a week

      Hi! Yes if you have been cleared your PT to do workouts then absolutely. If something does not feel right just always air of the side of caution and do what feels good for you instead 🤍

    As a competitive weightlifter I have to say I am in love with pilates because of you.. I been using it as an active recovery.. It feels great and it has easily translate to my sport and my daily life..

    Hi, I’ve just subscribed to your channel. Three months ago I had a spinal fusion L4/L5 and am wondering if there are any exercises with the blocks or ball that you can advise. I was always exercising before and been on a low as I was then unable to but now been given the go ahead but am lost as to what I can do. Had the operation and now it’s see you in a years time but no guidance given. I really need help to guide me through and get my muscles really working again and make me smile. Many thanks

      Hi Christina! Healing can be such a process and I really admire your strength/ motivation to get back to movement. Since I have not worked with you and each person is so different- I am very hesitant to give recommendations just because I would hate to cause any pain. I do have a beginners video since your doctor cleared you that could be a place to start! Hope this was even slightly helpful - lots of love!

      Great question! It won’t make your actual bones grow but it will help improve posture and mobility of the spine which will prevent shrinking and for some make them appear taller :)
