I actually like the slow burn in this relationship. There's nothing rushed or overly cliche, it's all natural. These two obviously care about one another. And Karen is basically all Frank has left.
To be honest, they don't need to kiss to show how much they care about each other. This scene in the elevator was perfect a lot was said with little dialogue.
He's looking at her like she is the most precious thing in his world right now and it terrifies him how close he came to losing her just a short while ago. She's looking at him with that overwhelming sadness she talked about. She sees that loneliness and it breaks her heart. And she wants to reach out and let him know he isn't alone, but she doesn't know how to say it. So she pulls him in and rests her forehead against his. Her way of letting him know he isn't alone and that she cares for him. And he allows himself to feel comfort, however shortly. This scene is phenomenal and these two played it out beautifully. One of my favorite scenes of the season.
The amount of chemistry Deb and Jon have is unbelievable. This scene was heartbreaking and you could see so much in their eyes, you could see just how much Frank and Karen didn't want to part ways but knew that they had too.
Cole Cash I don't think you understand Frank at all. Maybe in the comics he was heartless, but Frank's whole story arch in the show revolves around him caring TOO MUCH. He cares for Karen, Micro's family, Billy and even Madani to some extent and is worried that it's all going to be taken from him like his family was.
I agree! I particularly loved that Karen gave Frank this little smile before he left and didn't start crying until he was gone, like she knew she needed to give him this brave, strong face to keep him going despite how torn up she was inside.
Cole Cash There is a difference between comic Punisher and Netflix Punisher. It’s a television show and adaptation. This has now been said like a thousand times.
Gosh, talk about beauty and the beast. She's one of the only people that can temper the destructive storm inside of him. And so easily too. The only person who knew him post-carousel especially.
kemp9842 exactly. Damn, look at how He reacted to Lewis'attack( vs karen) ,there's all everything in. Karen killed( kingpin ' s right hand), Karen lost Matt, she lost her Brother in a car accident(?)...karen and frank are connected. And complicated. All should like to be.that's it.
Jon Bernthal is such a grade A actor. He's covered in blood, has just killed god knows how many people, yet he looks like he's about to melt at even the hint of intimacy. Here's a man who hasn't known affection for too long, and just the smallest of touches makes him look like he's about to break down. God damn, he's good.
I think it's just an innate reaction like a reflex you just respond a certain way around certain situations he doesn't want to get caught up in it though he won't let those feelings develop love is for other people naive people dreamers he's not like that anymore she is so he plays along for a moment for her sake that's all.
Strongly disagree. He's a man who wants love badly, but is too angry and traumatized to accept that it's even possible he could get it and hold onto it again. He's not doing anything for her sake. He doesn't want to feel anything, but he does, and when he does it's incredibly difficult for him.
Nellie D. To be honest i don't think Matt has any chemistry with Karen, and he is even worse with Elecktra the only female character i see Matt having good chemistry with was Jessica!
Not at all...Matty-karen was awsome...this frank-karen chemistry is apparently seen, just becoz frank is open book..but Matty just has started sharing his feelings..come on..netflix don't do that
In general I have the feeling that the Marvel writers care fairly little about fandom reception of various relationships/romances, which to my mind is reassuring, even though I have my own preferences (at least when it comes to who should be Matt's beloved!). My lasting impression is that the Punisher writers knew very well where they were heading from the very start, and that they consistently followed that trajectory, without letting themselves be derailed by shippers or other viewers/fans. There was some tension and mutual feelings between Frank and Karen, and a pretty detailed depiction of Dinah Madani's love affair with Billy Russo, but these relationship/romance elements never took over, since their main function was to serve characterization and plotting.
My biggest concern going into this series was they was going to make Karen and Frank's relationship like a CW romance. I'm very glad to say I was wrong
+Eddie LM Right, because Karen is Matt's love interest, and Frank is in no position to pursue another relationship that's bigger than a one-night stand.
My problem with is that they're ruining a very important aspect of Daredevil's character history. Having Karen be close with Frank instead of Matt is going to ruin one of DD's most tragic moments if Bullseye ever shows up
I like it how they clearly love each other but in an odd, not entirely romantic way. It makes it much more pure and special than if they were just kissing and shit
Frank's better off having a love story with his arsenal of weapons. Karen gets herself into too much trouble and that caring of his is going to make him sloppy
Writing is way off Karen ditched Matt because he was too violent and beat people up, but never killed them...all Frank does is kill people...so Karen really goes for killers...makes alot sense....
There is not a force on Heaven or Earth that will convince me these two aren't a perfect match. The sheer chemistry and writing between these two is on-POINT, all without a single word you can tell the sheer connection these two have.
Okay, Marvel... Please for the LOVE OF GOD, keep this. KEEP THIS! This is how you create fucking awesome chemistry between two leads. No crappy over-the-top cliche fueled kissing or hugging. Just pure and raw emotion between two people. Two forces wanting one another but damned by the past and their environment. In 2:17 sec you showed SO much without really showing anything. Thanks! Keep it! Make it a fucking slow burn please, we will support it!
Cole Cash he isn't there yet. He let go of Maria. He will fully become The punisher when Bullseye comes and takes the past piece. Then god help every criminal in New York
Yeah I don't think the general audience will take it very well if Frank is just a killing machine sociopath. They're trying to play the humanity card here you know making the audience care abt him so that he's perceived as the good guy even though he is an antihero
This scene is so well done. The music is on point, the chemistry is great, Karen’s face tells it all, and the shots of Frank and his face makes you feel awful for all the shit he has to go through.
Writing is way off Karen ditched Matt because he was too violent and beat people up, but never killed them...all Frank does is kill people...so Karen really goes for killers...makes alot sense....
1:44 "I can't protect you without holding a sword. I can't embrace you while holding a sword." He loves her so much. More than he can say, but he can't be with her because then she becomes a target and he can't afford to lose her too. He can protect her though and punish those who hurt her.
I’ve watched this scene a BUNCH and never realized the bell just fades into the background when they look into each other’s eyes. The world literally fading away until it’s just them.
Karen in that show was terrible. She and that fat guy Yogi were the two worst friends in history of superheroes. They should burn in hell for how they treated Matt. The black nurse with her - "I won't help you again" should burn in hell with them. His stupid father and ultra supid mother could join them as well. With friends like that he should become a black character and not a hero.
they said so much with their eyes. nonverbal body language people. it is more important and speaks volumes that words can't. starting at 1:27 she looked down and was thinking about it. 1:31 she is looking at him and asking him to 1:34 he looks up and sees it and is like is she for real 1:37 he looks down and up real quick like ok. 1:40 she is willing him like please kiss me. 1:43 he is like well hell yeah and is about to go in 1:44 a split second later he was like aww man I can't- not like this 1:46 she is like well then, I guess we are forehead touching- at least it is something 1:48 when she says go- he is like what I'm not ready 1:51 she is like why didn't you kiss me 1:53 he is like I am so sorry, I don't want to leave you- I love you 1:57 she is like I know, I love you too- I don't want you to leave either 1:59 he is like crap I have to go now or else I will never leave 2:01 he says take care because he can't handle any other verbal emotion but that's okay his eyes said everything 2:06 she is like my baby is in pain and I don't know when I will see him again 2:09 she is like wow I can't do this- this is too much 2:13 she lets her self breathe and take it all in, the weight of everything that has just happened 2:17 she is like that is how I almost kissed a murder and I'm more pissed at him for not doing it than for me wanting him to Yep. That is everything that happened in that elevator scene. Not spoken. But it happened. They felt it. We saw it.
...you clearly don't understand the concept behind shipping. I can literally ship Micro and Frank just because i like them together. Although they're more like brotp. Thing is, I can ship anyone, with ANYONE. The wonders of shipping.
Yeah, I was like "Are they going to kiss? Please, NO!" It would've been a) too fast, b) too cliche. The way they handled that scene on the show is so much better - poignant, but kind of hopeful too.
So much suffering. She suffers horribly because of him, because of his sadness and grief and hopelesness. And he suffers to see her like that, because he knows he's so deep in the darkness that he doesn't see any hope of getting back up. He knows he's a lost cause and it pains him to see her suffering because of him, because he knows how much she loves him. And he can't bare the fact that a person can still love him and care for him. He can't stand to see someone he holds so dearly suffering because of him.
I know she is supposed to be a supporting character and love interest for Matt Murdock and likely will end up with him. But it feels like, imo, she has 10 times the chemistry with Frank than with Matt.
Anybody notice how the sound of the alarm slowly drowns out the deeper into the moment the two of them get? That might be an audio cue for the constant unrest in his head calming down for a minute.
@@shai.loves.tacos. Awesome! Just an interpretation. Something else kinda like it is in Daredevil when Frank's watching the carousel, and the lights go out with 3 loud bangs. I always took that to represent the gunshots that killed his family.
@@shai.loves.tacos. Took me ages to notice it! I love The Punisher show, but Bernthal's performance in Daredevil is still astonishing, truly some of the best acting I've ever seen.
Richard Birnie you have given me a lot to think about in the best way possible !! & i totally agree, Bernthal is such a beast & his acting skills are off the charts. Really loved his chemistry with Deborah & the progression of their relationship. Such a shame the shows got cancelled but they forever live on in my brain ! 😊
I think they are eventually going to end up together, but Frank is still mourning his family. They share a deep bond, and his relationship with Karen has slowly been changing. I think they both need to mourn their lost loves before they will be able to move forward.
I think that they will probably end up together. Now that castle is finished avenging his family I think he will be able to move on. Next season we will probably see much more of castle/Karen.
Every scene Karen and Frank were in had so much chemistry. I hope they bring her back for more episodes in Season 2. They are so good together from the hospital and Diner scenes in Daredevil to there big scene here. I think The Punisher leads all of the Netflix Marvels shows when it comes to performances. Every actor and actress gave it there all and even supporting actors like Jason Moore (loved his intro voiceover in episode 1) and Daniel Webber stood out.
When Frank and David were in the hangout and first heard Lewis threatening Karen it totally TRIGGERED him instantly, David didn't know how much Karen meant to Frank until he compared his relationship with her to David & Sarah's so there yah go... NUFF SAID
It is impossible to imagine how much Frank is in pain. Not only physically, but mentally as well. Jon Bernthal is the best Punisher ever. The acting is excellent. Exactly like Deborah Ann Woll. Karen Page loves him, but circumstances are always against them. And this causes unbearable pain to both Frank and Karen. Brilliant, simply brilliant!
The way Karen looks at Castle....as if never to forget and imprint him forever in her memory is purely heartbreaking Some things are beautiful for the very reason they are unobtainable
Holy shit, the pure chemistry on show here is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Ive never seen so much said with literally not a single word. Their longing for each other is so obvious, and I love how deep the emotional connection is. They've both been through hell. This scene almost reminds me of frenchie and kimiko from the boys :D
I really like the relationship that developed between Frank and Karen. A complicated respect and care for one another. Looking forward to more of this, than Karen and Matt.
At the beginning of this episode Lewis kills an officer to take his clothes. He then tries to free the officer's bird by opening their cage. But the bird just stay inside no matter what.
This was so intense. They said nothing but the way they looked at each other spoke volumes of how deeply they feel for each other. My ship is sailing smoothly!!!
It just occurred to me. As Karen looked at the shrapnel sticking out of Frank's arm, his bloodied face, bruised body, she knew he suffered all those injuries for her. To save her. To take care of her. He kept his word. He kept her safe. I think this was the point of no return as Karen could not help but fall for Frank, and she affirmed her love to him in the hospital in season 2. Frank literally laid down his life for her.....again. Greater love hath no man..... Probably the best chemistry of OTP that never sails lol
Most people tend to forget that behind all that blood, all that adrenaline, all that rage and vigilante shit, there's a human being with feelings. You can see and almost FEEL the pain in his heart when they have to go their separate ways.
I like how it’s shown Punisher really does care for her and I think that’s the reason they’ll never date becuase if she gets too close somthin bad will happen
I'm glad they didn't kiss, save that for a much later episode in hopefully another season. Gotta take it slow. ;) There's definitely more believable chemistry between Karen and Frank then when she was with Matt.
In Daredevil season 2 and Punisher season 1. Karen was the only one that had no ulterior motive in helping him, she genuinely just wanted to help him regardless of everything.
LOVE every second of this scene! So well acted! I watch it over and over! You desperately want them to kiss but there is so much emotion without it and it's perfect how it was.....but u still want them to kiss! These two have amazing chemistry....you can't fake that! Can't wait till next season!
You don’t need dialogue to express emotions, or a kiss to make your couple canon, this scene is what made Kastle canon, we are in for slow burn and you know what I’m in for it because Frank is terrified of losing her and she’s terrified of him losing himself. They care for each other, they love each other but they don’t need to say it, they show it and THAT is how you write a love story.
I know that probably will be the greatest crackship of all, but, there's no way you can not imagine them together! The chemistry, the dynamics ... damn it! They are perfect for each other! If she does not die in the third season of DD, I'll fucking hope they get closer to next season's punisher! #Kastle Is love, #Kastle is life.
She needs to get closer with Matt or they totally screw one of the most tragic moments in Daredevil's character history, It does nothing to kill her if she's with Frank, he's already lost everything.
Cole Cash oh shut it. This version of Karen Page is different from the comic books and you better wrap your head around that. Karen and Matt's relationship in the show is clearly not as strong as in the comics and it's basically too late for them to work it out just as good (unless they get out of character). If you're sitting there waiting for the show to replicate everything from the comic book's universe you're wasting your time mate. Just accept that the show is gonna be different jc. Also, you can bet your ass Frank is gonna freakin lose it if Karen dies. Have you watched The Punisher? The way Frank completely flipped out when he knew Karen was in danger? If anything, she's the last person that could hurt him almost in the same way his family did. Frank even referred to Karen as his family, for God's sake. Karen's not the last person that Matt has, but she's easily Frank's.
Shut it? Nah I'm good, you can take your own advice though. You better wrap your head around her being different from the comics doesn't mean she's not going to die. Lol it's never too late, though they don't even have to be in a relationship...Just losing a friend would still do the trick as well. Wasting my time? Actually troll, they've already replicated multiple things from the comics. Elektra's death, Punisher and Daredevil's rooftop argument, Billy getting his face destroyed by glass, and so on. They don't happen the exact same way as they did in the books but the concept is still the same, so you can stfu and quit acting like they don't do anything close to the comics. Oh noez he'll flip out, he can feel free to go through Bullseye and Fisk when he does. Frank doesn't need Karen because trying to insert any kind of relationship into Frank is out of character. The Punisher is suppose to be dead inside and does not like associating with others, hell he even proclaims himself that the "dead don't feel" in the books. It was one of the few things Jane's Punisher got right. Newsflash smartass, if you think Frank's not suppose to lose anymore then you really don't know him very well. In case you've forgotten, Fisk still doesn't know that Karen killed Wesley. You really think she's going to keep living when he finds out? Lawl
Cole Cash The shut it is because I see you copy/pasting the same freakin comment everywhere in the comment section of this one video. 10/10 for the dedication tho. Anyways, my argument was that the show is not going to replicate everything from the comic. Where did I say it was gonna be COMPLETELY different? I'm just saying that this is a different universe where it is very possible that Karen doesn't die (her character's already really different) even though it might cancel one of "the most tragic moments" in the DD narrative. Also, I agree that losing a friend is just as hurting. What I was saying is that the meaning of Karen's death surely won't bear the same weight as in the comics because her relationship with Matt isn't and won't be as deep as you describe it. So let it go. Also, Frank's already expressing tons of feelings in this show. Stop with the "blablabla he's suppose to be this he's supposed to be that". I get it, they made him different. But it's too late to complain because unless something bad happens to Frank he'll always have a certain soft spot for Karen, like it or not. He's clearly not a cold blooded piece of granite like in the comics. I'm not even talking about a romantic relationship with Karen. But he cares for her enough to call her family and her death would surely mean something because she's the "something" that Frank could lose. Maybe after Karen's death, Frank could become the cold stone-y character from the comics, that would make sense. But i'm honestly tired of seeing women character being cut off just to trigger man pain.
I'm free to post whatever I want, criticizing me or telling me to "shut it" isn't going to make me stop posting it. Nice try though troll. No shit it's not going to replicate everything, that doesn't mean something similar won't occur or are you too close minded to have grasped that when I pointed it out? No, I will not let it go. Killing Karen is one of the many things Bullseye is infamous for. Telling me to let it go would be like telling someone to let it go if Green Goblin showed up in Spider-man and someone wanted him to kill Gwen. Shut up fool, so long as Frank's still feeling then he's still not the Punisher, he's just Frank Castle. I'm honestly tired of women and trolls trying to defend Karen from being killed just because they don't want to see "man pain." Get over it, there's nothing wrong with "man pain." These are suppose to be tragic characters, if you want sunshine and rainbows then stick to the films.
The Punisher turned out to be such an amazing addition to Netflix's Marvel properties. I loved these episodes the most, even though they were a step aside from the overall season plot, so much for the future is built into them. The elevator scene was so beautiful and Karen's few appearances on Punisher have revealed the greater potential of this character far better than Daredevil has managed, where she's been shoved to the side as some second hand love interest, jilted stand-in for Matt's obsessively toxic love Elektra. I hope Daredevil doesn't give her the same paltry death used to fuel male superhero machismo that the comic books did and we see her eventually transition fully to the Punisher as his eventual possible "after". The chemistry between Frank and Karen is so mesmerizing. These episodes revealed the depth of Frank's feelings for Karen, Jon Bernthal did an amazing job playing those scenes of a character drowning in complicated emotions he's not well-equipped to handle - when he couldn't even put to words what losing her would mean and slammed the desk instead, and Deborah playing a character obviously struggling with caring so deeply for a man whose actions are so counter to what she's always believed to be her personal morals that she's questioning herself and can't bring herself to condemn him. That moment in the elevator as she silently accepts that he needs to leave, that way they linger is so heartbreaking because you can feel how much they need each other. She can't condone Matt's vigilante behavior to the point their friendship nearly comes to an end over it but accepts that Frank needs to fight his war and that she has to let him go. It speaks volumes to that level of trust and understanding between them. I love that they brought her into his universe, I hope she gets to spend more time there, and I'm so grateful they've taken her on a path far, far away from her comic version and hope they keep it that way.
THIS THIS THIS THIS & THIS. Seriously, Karen has been treated better here than she was on Daredevil. They made a very good decision having her take a good part of this show and season.
They are totally soul mates. They know always what the other is thinking. They care deeply about each other. They're synced. Remember, soul mate isn't only about a romantic relationship. You and your best friend can be soul mates. You and your mom. Your brother.
I just can't wait to see how daredevil deals with karen's VERY FUCKING OBVIOUS FEELINGS FOR FRANKS now that frank is clearly gonna be sticking around in NYC
Karen doesn't have feelings for Frank. Well, she has platonic feelings for him, but she isn't romantically interested him, not when she's busy mourning Matt and also would find it disrespectful to hook up with a man whose methods Matt had openly disapproved of.
You should still see the Defenders as it will probably leave a big impact on Iron Fist and Daredevil not so much of Jessica Jones or Luke cage regarding their storylines. Its not that good of a story but surely does its job!
The chemistry these two can channel should dictate where the stories go because its so naturally powerful that to attempt to force it in another direction would ignore and miss the opportunity to just let a not commonly seen "story" to flow. Sometimes you (as the director/producer etc) just gotta see that the actors are bringing something that transcends your "original" vision and let them "play that music" and show you what wonders will come.
So ruin one of Daredevil's most tragic moment to appease some shippers? Yeah, you need to sign off. Her death's one of the reasons why Matt hates Bullseye.
Cole Cash I agree with you on that, but Karen developed a lot as a character through the two seasons and I think that she deserves to live ( besides her obvious chemistry with Frank)
Developing a lot as a character doesn't mean she should live, as that would mean Bullseye would be a waste of a character if he ever got announced. Taking away the things that made him infamous winds up turning him into nothing more than just another bad guy. Having chemistry with Frank is also bad, as this situation goes against Frank's character. Frank's suppose to be a guy who's dead inside, not to mention he says it himself in the comics that the "dead don't feel." This was one of the few things Jane's Punisher did right in that Bernthal's Frank should be acting towards Karen the way Jane's acted towards that chick who tried to come onto him.
Cole Cash so kill her off so she can be a martyr for the male superhero to rally around? Fuck no, this version of Karen deserves so much better than to be a plot device. Going against the comic book story arcs is exactly what these shows are doing, they aren't telling the comic book stories, they're giving us different stories for the comic book heroes. Arguing that it doesn't follow the comics is a BS argument and forcing the show to follow the comics, despite how unnatural or dissatisfying it would be to the unfolding story they've got going in the show just to appease a handful of comic book purist fanboys would be stupid.
Ashleigh Sorensen I already had hours of arguing all these same points. Apparently if you have any opinion other then the comic canon purists , somehow we are wrong and people like us are trying to ruin the show.
I watched Punisher before watching Daredevil (and only watched season 2 for more Frank Castle and Karen Page action), and maybe it's because of that, but I found the chemistry between Matt Murdock and Karen just totally lacking in comparison. There's just something about the chemistry between them that seems off and doesn't work for me at all. I know that Karen Page is a major Daredevil love interest in the comics and that creates some serious problems for a Frank + Karen tv romance, but I really hope Marvel just says to heck with it and keeps this Kastle thing going indefinitely. The Frank + Karen and Frank + Micro relationships are what kept me hooked.
If they don’t go canon next season I’m jumping off a building. They’re so in love. I swear a forehead touch is one of the most intimate things a ship can do.
Like..not all characters are sociopaths who are dead inside and declare that they're incapable of feeling in the comics, but hey..I don't expect casuals to understand.
So glad they didnt kiss. This scene was much deeper than romance. Frank had just saved lives as well as the person who seems to be the most important n his life at this point and saving his own life at the same time...He shows himself to truly be overwhelmed as well as mentally and physically exausted for the first time in the series as he realizes his and Karen lives were bout come to an end..He knows he have to go because the war isnt over but doesnt know whats in store for him next. I believe this was the episode that display the real Frank Castle and Punisher as one...frank Castle: A troubled but good hearted man who will do anything for the ones he care about..and then the Punisher: ...wont let anyone or anything stand in his way!
I actually like the slow burn in this relationship. There's nothing rushed or overly cliche, it's all natural. These two obviously care about one another. And Karen is basically all Frank has left.
Guess he's going to have nothing at all whenever Bullseye shows up

There was some tension and mutual feelings between Frank and Karen, and a pretty detailed depiction of Dinah Madani's love affair with Billy Russo, but these relationship/romance elements never took over, since their main function was to serve characterization and plotting.
her face when he left.....bitch that’s love
Mooky Blaylock That's also called love...
That's love. She admires Matt for strength of will and compassion, but she loves Frank. They're two sides of the same coin.
Mooky Blaylock
Love has many types
My biggest concern going into this series was they was going to make Karen and Frank's relationship like a CW romance. I'm very glad to say I was wrong
Wait for season 2.
+Eddie LM Right, because Karen is Matt's love interest, and Frank is in no position to pursue another relationship that's bigger than a one-night stand.
My problem with is that they're ruining a very important aspect of Daredevil's character history. Having Karen be close with Frank instead of Matt is going to ruin one of DD's most tragic moments if Bullseye ever shows up
Replace Karen with Black Sky what's her name and it's fine..
Link, Elektra?
I like it how they clearly love each other but in an odd, not entirely romantic way. It makes it much more pure and special than if they were just kissing and shit
Agreed.
I agree! It’s hard to define and that’s part of what makes it special.
Teringventje You're on the wrong platform then… 🙄
Frank's better off having a love story with his arsenal of weapons.
This is also how you ruin a character because Frank's suppose to be a dead inside sociopath
I'm sorry, did you even watch the show?
Cole Cash he isn't there yet. He let go of Maria. He will fully become The punisher when Bullseye comes and takes the past piece. Then god help every criminal in New York
Yeah I don't think the general audience will take it very well if Frank is just a killing machine sociopath. They're trying to play the humanity card here you know making the audience care abt him so that he's perceived as the good guy even though he is an antihero
TheUltimateGamer245 they didn’t make it more interesting unless you’re some casual
THEY LOVE EACH OTHER SO MUCH
Sarah's my wife, Sarah's my family.
So is Karen.
The Punisher feeling love is so out of character for Frank.
He cares about her like a sister, hes not in love. He's protecting family.
BattlestarPegasus 1:44 you'd do that and look like that to your sister?
The Punisher is a sociopath, he doesn't feel love.
@@markharris8640 Imagine spamming🤣

Dewey Crowe right 😂😂😂
@Frank Castle 😂
Well that should be your motivation 😂
The pain in her eyes hearing the physical pain he’s in while escaping the elevator gets me every time. The whole scene really.
1:44 "I can't protect you without holding a sword. I can't embrace you while holding a sword."
He loves her so much. More than he can say, but he can't be with her because then she becomes a target and he can't afford to lose her too. He can protect her though and punish those who hurt her.
Karen truly understands him, because she knew he had to keep going, even tho it was killing him, and killing her to watch
Mads Stays Noided You can really feel the depth in that whole situation just by them looking at each other... the feels
They way he looks at her when his defenses come down, almost like a sad child… Bernthal is truly a gifted actor.
The Punisher and Daredevil are proof that Marvel needs to man up and make more R-rated shows.
Yes bro
The fact that Frank and Karen never got that kiss when they were so clearly in love made their scenes much more meaningful. Both great actors.
I’ve watched this scene a BUNCH and never realized the bell just fades into the background when they look into each other’s eyes. The world literally fading away until it’s just them.
These two showed way more chemistry in this scene alone than Matt and Karen during their whole romance!
Matt and Karen romance didn't even last 5 episodes🤣
That's because Matt has always loved Electra🤷♀️
@@TerzitosWife yeah, it’s a shame…certain incidents occurred… and Matt was left alone.
Karen in that show was terrible. She and that fat guy Yogi were the two worst friends in history of superheroes. They should burn in hell for how they treated Matt. The black nurse with her - "I won't help you again" should burn in hell with them. His stupid father and ultra supid mother could join them as well. With friends like that he should become a black character and not a hero.

...you clearly don't understand the concept behind shipping. I can literally ship Micro and Frank just because i like them together. Although they're more like brotp. Thing is, I can ship anyone, with ANYONE. The wonders of shipping.
thestaceofspade That play by play was epic, lol.
1:31 - when she sees how far he's willing to go for her... that look on her face....
Loved how they actually didnt kiss even though they both have feelings for each other very unique writing its sad but this is who punisher is
Yeah, I was like "Are they going to kiss? Please, NO!" It would've been a) too fast, b) too cliche.
The way they handled that scene on the show is so much better - poignant, but kind of hopeful too.
Forget Matt and Karen, this is the peak OTP of our beloved Netflix/Marvel-verse.
Doesn’t have to say a word.
They look at each other and they know it.
Seen similar.

Anybody notice how the sound of the alarm slowly drowns out the deeper into the moment the two of them get? That might be an audio cue for the constant unrest in his head calming down for a minute.
Richard Birnie omg. Never thought of it like that before & i have watched this scene so many times....
@@shai.loves.tacos. Awesome! Just an interpretation. Something else kinda like it is in Daredevil when Frank's watching the carousel, and the lights go out with 3 loud bangs. I always took that to represent the gunshots that killed his family.
Richard Birnie what the WHATTTT. i never thought about that either ! 🤯 it may be time for me to do a rewatch !
when they didn't kiss, I was like damn you Castle, what were you thinking?
Manoffriendship idk, this scene makes it seem like more.
+Bethany Reed I get the feeling Karen Page will die in daredevil season 3, which will fully turn Frank Castle into the punisher.
therodiaX I’m am starting to hear that. I am really hoping it’s not true though.
The way they look at each other and the fact that they didn't really need words to talk is just beautiful ❤❤❤
She the only one that truly understands him.
Frank can't hold her because of the grief he carries over his family's death. He can't allow compassion
I have wanted them together since daredevil 😩😩😘
Yadah Gordon girl sameeeee
Their almost going to kiss but just looking each other with compassion is one the most romantic things I've seen in any series.
The way Karen looks at Castle....as if never to forget and imprint him forever in her memory is purely heartbreaking
Some things are beautiful for the very reason they are unobtainable
Does it get any better that this? I mean how come that a comics adaptation is so insanily good? Goddamn, Punisher, 10 outta 10
Are you watching this series for the first time?
This was my favorite scene from the series.
I really like the relationship that developed between Frank and Karen. A complicated respect and care for one another. Looking forward to more of this, than Karen and Matt.
i love their unconditional relationship, they never kiss or do anything
this scene was so so powerful. Jon & Deborah have such electric off-the-charts chemistry 🔥🙌
To do all this scene and fill it with so much and not have even a hint of a kiss. This is simply a great part of television history.
I was about to scream cause I thought they're gonna kiss but then I actually screamed because they didn't kiss!!!!
Someone on tumblr pointed out the parallels between this scene and the birdcage scene, and that's all I can think of now.
EthalaRide what parallels? I wanna know now lol
What birdcage?
At the beginning of this episode Lewis kills an officer to take his clothes. He then tries to free the officer's bird by opening their cage. But the bird just stay inside no matter what.
Rialy Andriamiseza damn , wonderful parallels!😍
Now that Deborah is returning, I can't wait to see their reunion.
This was a very welcomed surprise, this scene even happening. There ya go Netflix, There ya go Steven... Great job Jon and Deb
In life there’s these powerful moments where no words are necessary. The way they shot this was absolutely perfect.
Most people tend to forget that behind all that blood, all that adrenaline, all that rage and vigilante shit, there's a human being with feelings. You can see and almost FEEL the pain in his heart when they have to go their separate ways.
both, terrific actors Deborah Ann Woll and Jon Bernthal, they deserve to get a coffee as Jessica and Luke Cage
I like how it’s shown Punisher really does care for her and I think that’s the reason they’ll never date becuase if she gets too close somthin bad will happen
To be honest they got more chemistry than karen and mathew .They care about each other and karen is all he got .hoping for a season 3
I'm glad they didn't kiss, save that for a much later episode in hopefully another season. Gotta take it slow. ;)
There's definitely more believable chemistry between Karen and Frank then when she was with Matt.
One of the best slowly, built relationships I’ve seen in Marvel’s television show, next to Colleen and Danny from Iron Fist! Heck, I love this!
anyone else find it badass when he just casually hands her that gun?
Punisher and Daredevil are the Netflix's best series
The best scene in the entire series... this scene says a lot without saying much verbally... loved it
Series name
The way Karen and Frank looks at each other is so meaningful kind of explains everything about their relationship.
When Karen was still a beautiful normal name
Loved this series
These two are great and agree the 'slow burn' is what makes it so endearing in what is a blood-fest
Great drama
Series name
I swear I just wanted to give this man a hug the entire series
I personally ship Karen and Matt but her actress is so goddamn incredible I have no issue buying that she cares/loves both of them.
We stan 😭👏🏻
Preach 🙌
Ashleigh Sorensen I love the punisher, Daredevil is okay, but the rest of the Netflix Marvel shows are hard to watch.
Boom.
I hear the word best friend thrown around like candy.
When one says one person is their best friend then another is.
It’s confusing.

This was so sweet! The way he looks at her awww
Karen Page is this defenders stuff? Because I haven't seen it and... don't really plan to 🙈 does Matt 'die'?
+Mads Stays Noided Well, I can't say more other than Matt is believed "killed" by a falling skyscraper.
Karen Page falling skyscraper? Yeah, don't think the defenders is for me 🙈
You should still see the Defenders as it will probably leave a big impact on Iron Fist and Daredevil not so much of Jessica Jones or Luke cage regarding their storylines. Its not that good of a story but surely does its job!
The punisher should've had more seasons
Their chemistry is unbelievable I really hope they become a couple in the show !!
Bitch if you kill her off I'll sign off Netflix. Don't ruin this for me, I love this.
Frank's suppose to be a guy who's dead inside, not to mention he says it himself in the comics that the "dead don't feel."
This was one of the few things Jane's Punisher did right in that Bernthal's Frank should be acting towards Karen the way Jane's acted towards that chick who tried to come onto him.
This whole episode was some of the best TV I've ever seen. Outstanding stuff.
Frank's zoned-out stare and gentle rocking is heartbreaking to see. Great, GREAT season!
Tbh I don't even know y she even likes Matt
I thought Frank and Karen should have gotten together. They such great chemistry together and they trust each other so much.
How the fk is Deborah An Woll NOT cast in more pictures?! She's an amazing actress!
If they don’t go canon next season I’m jumping off a building. They’re so in love. I swear a forehead touch is one of the most intimate things a ship can do.
Get ready to jump then, as the Punisher's not suppose to be a shipping character.
Like....all characters are shipping characters...they don't make special characters for shipping.
Like..not all characters are sociopaths who are dead inside and declare that they're incapable of feeling in the comics, but hey..I don't expect casuals to understand.
Cole Cash Good thing this is the show and not the comics then, huh.
Good thing Netflix follows the comics pretty heavy compared to the rest of the MCU huh, though you wouldn't know that silly casual ;)
Anyone else find it really hot when he did that pull-up to the top of the elevator shaft? Just me? Okay. *leaves*
Please bring these 2 back.
this was so powerful they are both amazing actors
