the writing for this Punisher is absolute dog water. Glad the netflix crap got cancelled. They write Castle like he is still human, like he doesn't have the strongest pain tolerance in Marvel, like he would find another woman after his family was murdered. They really have no idea how to write The Punisher. It's disgusting. Even more disgusting is the "fans" that say its so great.

Clips like this illustrate why Jon Bernthal was such a phenomenal Punisher. Obviously Bernthal does the ass-kicking fight scenes and stuff amazingly well, but in scenes like this when he talks about his family he has this incredibly-raw vulnerability and sadness that Berthnal perfectly expresses through his performance. When he asks Karen if his house is still the way he left it, you can really feel the character's pain and loss. What a fucking great actor and show.

Honestly it's good that they didn't kiss. It wouldn't have suited Frank's character. He still loves his dead wife very much. That's pretty much the reason he started all this shit. For his family. Plus I think they're good friends, and you don't kiss your friends.

The best two shows marvel did. The punisher and daredevil. And it’s great how they combined them even though they are so different. Punisher was GNARLY. Daredevil a bit more toned back haha. But they met in the middle and it was a great combination of worlds.

I’ve always appreciated that when Frank is confronted with choosing literally ANY other option than being a homicidal maniac he always sticks to his guns. Both literally and figuratively as he’s not willing to stop what he’s doing because he does wholeheartedly believe the world is a better place when he’s just wasting these criminals left right and center without second thought. And to a degree frank is correct, we see the people that Frank kills and there’s almost no humanity to a large majority of them whether they’re being child predators, murderer’s, mob bosses or mob associates, hitmen, whatever they are the point being that Frank is typically only killing people who are too far gone anyways. Although Karen’s argument isn’t without merit. Frank COULD let this shit go and actually try to heal his fractured mind, because deep down at the root of it all that is franks problem. He can’t stop his crusade because he hasn’t allowed any other people into his life, and the few that do get into his life almost immediately get forced out because Frank is fully aware of what it would take to bring him back to normal. And he blatantly says so in this scene “I don’t want to.” Now I’m not saying frank particularly enjoys his role, but I do think he’s found a purpose in it that no other character, hero or otherwise would be willing to do. And I would agree to an extent that some of the people Frank kills really do deserve to die, the aforementioned child predators are among the many who don’t deserve to go to jail, just let Frank do his thing.

i cry every time he talks about his family. it really shows that he's not just a bad guy, and that there's a reason he does what he does, so no one else has to lose their loved ones like he did

Ward really had the best character development in the series. He started off as the snarky asshole from the start, then realize he was abused by his father. Then, he came around in the end and became the brother Danny wanted him to be. Tom Pelphery played the role really well.

Holy shit, the pure chemistry on show here is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Ive never seen so much said with literally not a single word. Their longing for each other is so obvious, and I love how deep the emotional connection is. They've both been through hell. This scene almost reminds me of frenchie and kimiko from the boys :D

Freaking love this scene and chemistry between Karen and Frank. Love and affection at top level with this top notch acting! Beware.. beware.. Never to stare in a blank, cold shades of an alley, because Death is waiting there and Fear its glare, for the guilty will not only get a scare. Frank Castle is beyond human, he's Death walking on Earth. Favour or hate him, the truth is he's beyond terrifying than most people, let alone whether or not they're heroes, villains, mortals or godlike beings. I really hope they can consider giving him more justice, he deserves much more in animations, comics and spin offs, a show of his own, even with Tom Jane of Bernthal returning as him in series, with his violent ways of dealing with crime and evil, even battling other heroes and villains! This scene shows that even a deadly being like him has affections and hell lotta emotions too! The Punisher is! My number one Marvel character!
