This would work much better with grapeshot as wincon and a set of pact of negation as protection measure in case opponent can counter your song
Yeah... but I mean when you play on arena you can get away with saying "My wincon is my opponents conceding. But - I can technically win through oracle damage"

Watching Chris refuse the bonesaw over and over even though it was one of the few permanents that stick on the field did hurt a little bit. They don't call him the dark lord for nothing.
If you play Offer You Can't Refuse, and your opponent scoops in response, does that mean that the offer was technically refused and therefore the card name is incorrect?
Not if you're making yourself the offer lol
Well, if you're targeting your own spells with Offer You Can't Refuse, technically you're giving yourself the offer that you can't refuse. So your opponent is just a bystander :P
If only you'd keep playing this deck until you get to Mythic, and then make some more videos with this deck, so we can see what happens. That would be a lot of fun to watch.

"BALANCE????" Well the balanced thing about this deck is that you need a copy of a 4-of and have 0 tutoring and 0 card draw/filtering. Given that that won't happen too often and given that there are discard- and counterspells, this deck actually wins way less than 51% of the time. BALANCE!!!!!

But you only need like 4 cards in your opening hand. Song of creation, counterspell, 0 mana spell and one land. And this set up can pop off on turn 2. And if you replace the mage with grapeshot it would be even easier
@@danzansandeev6033 Wtf. Math says getting 1 out of 4 of 60 in 7 is 40%, which includes completely unplayable combinations of course. What you've listed is well below 1%. Plus you need to be on the play vs. Thoughtseize and/or Duress, so multiply your odds by 0.5 again.
@@47Mortuus I am not arguing with math. But I play similar deck in the face of goblin charbelcher or mizzix dragonstorm which also have only one wincon. Although they don’t pop off on turn 2 though

There’s a lesson to be learned here:
Always keep at least 2 copies of Karn: the Great Creator on each of your decks. It’ll put a stop to this charade &you can pull artifacts from your sideboard (God Pharaoh’s statue/Immortal Sun/Tormod’s crypt/Paradox Engine)
How exactly does it stop it? By killing treasures? If you can get just one Oracle of the Alpha then grab the Mox's and Black Lotus, it never stops, Karn will have one activated ability to kill one Artifact. Plus if you time it right and your opponent doesn't know what's happening and they tap all their mana, it's literally game over. Especially once Paradox Engine is fished out of the deck. Then Akroma's Memorial, and all the Alpha's played multiple times, and then with A Little Chat you can sac the Alpha's and pick two cards to put in your hand. Oh it's so satisfying once you play Grapeshot, or Aeve, Progenitor Ooze, or Hunting Pack with a Storm count of over 40, and 7 extra turns. 😜
Karn makes only gold tokens work with his passive to shut down activated abilities

Everytime I watch your videos I get excited to play mtga, so I boot up the game, import your deck, and face mono white lifegain and green elves a bunch of times in a row and give up again. Dont know how you do it

Turn 2 Inifinite Turns combo is the ultimate death knell of a format. Vintage is fucked by Time Vault + Manafold Key combos. It's not Chris' fault, but this is actually the kind of thing that kills a game.

Edit: Also, if you want to play with Wrenn and Seven, you could put all lands from your hand into play, then using Beledros or Zacama, untap all your lands.

This deck is made up of hopes and dreams realized. Its like all the Timmys, Johnnys, Vorthoses, and Spikes all united together to create this eldritch horror.
42:00 your opponent could've blown you out here with relic. I am amazed they let the Timetwister resolve without cracking Relic of Progenitus first. Granted they still probably would've lost to your board because your hand would get put back in giving you around 40 cards in deck but with their Corrosion taking 14 off the top they would've had a decent chance I think.

I know everyone is saying "Grapeshot! Grapeshot!", but you also need a plan for when your opponent has hexproof from Leyline.
If you don't auto on the lotus you will be able have blue mana more often.

honestly the idea that the keywords seek and conjure wouldn't work in paper is weird, like there would need to be a slight change to them but they could work in paper. conjure would just be a rules change to add a permanent subtype of token which can exist in any zone and for seek it would just have to be shuffle them exile cards from the top of the library til you get the type of card you are seeking and shuffle the rest back into your deck

yes, if u can copy a spell that was not cast well in full control mode, it will matter. 1 have her out & song & mana, 2 play a zero that u counter & then I think u can copy the spell that u are countering B4 it is off the stack. (I think)
You think wrongly.
The spell got on the stack by being cast, so Errant can't copy it. Then once it's countered, it's no longer on the stack, so Errant can't target it.
There's nothing in the deck that puts spells on the stack without casting them. That would have to be a copy effect like the Casualty mechanic that she was designed to work with

If you start, you need 1 mana, 3 Offer (btw, God Farther reference..?), 3 cost 0 and the enchantment... and you get 0 cards in hand
Even on Draw, mox amber don't produce mana, so you still need the same 8 cards to set up the combo, running out cards in hand T1
You can draw faster by leaving your mouse cursor on your library, you don't even need to click

Reason #126 of why alchemy cards need to be filtered out through match making. Alchemy cards should stay in alchemy formats.
I don't understand how he has all these cards. Every time he comes out with a new video there's like 100's of Rares or Mythics that are impossible to obtain without either grinding for ages or dropping a crap ton of money on the game.
I made it without all the extra rares. Hunting Pack is only Uncommon so there's an easy way to nab Storm card.

Aetherflux in deck for win con, eventually hit a lotus with any mox, play it, keep the cycle going until u just one shot him, much more consistent

And THIS is why the power 9 shouldn’t exist outside of vintage/legacy format. There’s no way to not play against a P9 deck on arena now in that format. So if you queue up for historic (or historic alchemy idk) you could be trying to play a legitimate game of magic, and suddenly you’re facing power 9 and all you get to do is watch somebody on the other side of the table masturbate to completion.

Chris! That movie exists. You are way to late. It is called "Yes Man" and Jim Carrey is staring in it.
I don't think this deck can win on turn 1, even on the draw, you would play land, 2 0 cost, 2 offer makes only 3 mana cause you have to use up one of the treasures for the 2nd offer, and if you go 3 0 cost 3 offer and a land, plus song of creation, that's your whole hand on the draw, so you have nothing left to cast to start going off. If they ever added Mox Opal to MTGA though, then you could do it on the play with land, offer, 2 0 cost spells, 2 opals (tap the first for mana before saccing to legendary rule), and creation, or land, 2 offers, 3 0 costs, opal, creation on the draw
I don't even know this deck that well, and the misplays are driving me absolutely crazy. You weren't manually taping non-UR sources to prevent wasting U from your Lotuses, you were early casting your Time Walks with your only U when you had your legend and Mox Amber(s) in hand. So far you've lucked out of all of it. Or is this deck just so broken you can mispilot the hell out of it and nothing matters?
