Did anyone else laugh when Chris shuffled that Yorion into that 200 card deck?
Yes. I absolutely died
I think it's one of the few times I've cheered for a MTG play like a football fan for a touchdown.
It was so petty, I loved it.
This is the only MtG channel where I laugh at the actual card plays, instead of the player only lol
I cackled.
"It's horrible, we're gonna keep"
Story of my life playing MTG
Me knowing EXACTLY which cards I need to keep to succeed, but keeping the hand that has a 1/20 chance of being super cool
I know I'm having a great time because when I hear the knocking I always get sad that the video is already over.
Hello Chris I just want to thank you for all the content you bring us and how much I enjoy watching you play. If it wasn't for you the fire for playing MTG would have extinguished long ago.
Keep up the great work and I bet none of us can wait to see what more wonderous content you can bring us. Thanks~ Charlie
17:55 The biggest difference between city of brass and mana confluence is that the life payment on confluence is part of the activation cost, and the damage from city is an on-tap trigger. So it doesn’t matter if city of brass gets another tap ability from somewhere else (such as Yavimaya), it still does the damage, whereas then you could tap mana confluence for a green without paying life.
You can put Urza glasses. Its an artifact and you can see opponents hand
The difference between City of Brass and Mana Confluence is that City deals damage to you whenever it is tapped, whereas you have to pay 1 life to activate Confluences ability. This means if you give the land the ability to tap for another colour, City will still deal damage to you.
However, City of Brass' damage could be prevented.
PLEEEASE try same type of deck with but instead of Lodestone Golem use the artifact called Boarded Windows!!! Let them grow a MASSIVE army that swing for -100 power lol
props to the guy just taking the 390 damage like a champ instead of bailing like a wimp
chris there is no way you left out the precursor golem where when you target one of the lothstone golems it targets all doubling each golem you have
Oh my that would be crazy! I made combo deck with precursor golem and it was a lot of fun but it might be problematic here since it requires you to chose which order the spells targeting the golems resolve
15:38 but ornithopter is a artifact
Vote to bring back auto tune Chris series
I've been waiting for a new episode in The Adventures Of Sensible Chris
And potatochris
I'd love to see the dingus egg return when he misplays!
Best comment of the day!😂😂
We need autochris
I laughed like an idiot in the train, this vidéo was amazing, outstanding job Chris !
you KNOW there will be new auto captions memes when our Dark Lord keeps saying "Addicux"
17:50 City of Brass also deals damage to you if an opponent taps it, but for Mana Confluence paying the one life is part of the cost
Times like this, I would really want Nevinyrral's Disk playing against you.
Chris, this was an awesome deck. Must be made in America because those taxes were insane.
USA has a law saying VAT can never be higher than 10% (well really, sales tax, USA doesn't have VAT, but it comes down the same thing in the end). EU has a law saying VAT can never be lower than 15%. Income tax from what I can see in USA is between 10% and 51% depending on income and state. For the UK it is between 32% and 63% depending on income, and Belgium between 25% and 80%, to show some examples.
Middle card = Aqua Teen Hunger Force, a must watch.
Carl Brutananadilewski... he says it when he corrects the announcer at the wedding where he and Master Shake marry the mail order Russian bride.
Do you have a tracker ? It could be very fun to see how your decks underperform and how hard you try to make them work for us:) Anyway, good job Chris !
I don't think I've ever laughed so much and so hard... I'm crying 😂😂😂😂😂
Telepathy is a 1 blue mana enchantment where your opponents play with their hand revealed
could you do an abiding grace /modular deck???
i would love to see what you can do with it!
the titles of these videos are GOLD
Love watching this guy, but when I'm at work with captions holy crap I can't keep up
just started the vid but I can tell this is the jankiest of the jank, you janky genius
I've only seen the parentheses number having to cast the 8 mana ugin 7 times in brawl. Fun to see those again.
What could I replace Assemble the Team with for paper play?
Just watching this I can feel the heat my phone would produce trying to process the fuckery that is going on
How would this work with Omniscience?... 🤔 Any amount of Lodestone Golems & you'd still have free spells, right?
The middle Carl is from Aqua Teen Hunger Force. And he is hilarious.
Only need 21 rare wildcards, so hopefully I can play this by Christmas
Other difference is City of Brass loses you life when it taps for any reason where mana confluence is only its ability. So can be avoided if something can give it other tap abilities
Had to give you a sub after seeing this video.
This is the kinda stuff I would love to play in a real game
Isn't it better to do it with Pharaoh's statue? I know it costs a bit more, but if u use that your spells will keep their cost and each copy make your opponent's spells 2 mana more expensive each.
You’d need Mirror Box and that’s just another piece to an already convoluted combo
What would be the wincon? With this he makes a massive army that the opponent can't do anything about..
It's legendary, so it would be much more difficult to copy.
@@QargZerStatue does drain 1 life a turn, so 25+ would kill instantly.
@@davidhower7095 totally forgot it was a legendary permanent.
Tell me you like playing cards with "Your opponent loses their turn" without telling me you like playing cards with "your opponent loses their turn"...
Playing this deck against a new player - pops 64 whatevers.."and your turn, good sir"
New player "Ok, I'll play this"
You - "Oh, sorry, friend, can't play that card. It costs 400 mana now."
new player - "ok, I'll play thi-"
you - "let me stop you right there...all your spells cost 2 thousand mana now"
New player - Flips board...
that last nono was like watching him getting edged
this one was hilarious m8. great work
This is what I pay internet for!!
0:09 nice
I am disappointed you didnt cast the florahedron for 60+ mana just to establish dominance
this was so funny great deck
The tax is insane
The Mythos wouldn’t have given you a crazy amount of token since you hit the limit of 250
(Lol I guess auto correct got me)
Why would it give amateur tokens though?
@@Kuryux - because theyre new, and havent been around for long
as a non-magic player I need one clarification? is a "spell" basically anything or just things that arent creatures and Lands or what really?
"Spell" is everything exept "Land". When you play a nonland card - you basically "cast a spell".
@@semperunum3426 thanks for the info.
I mainly play yugioh and also played duel masters in the past so "spells" usually are cards you play just for effects but don't offer you a creature (tho in duel masters there alsonare no lands, everything is usable as mana if you throw it into the mana pool)
do you know there is also parallel lives that is the same of annoited procession but is green
Nice and two blue!
I hope to play against this one day!
I'm gonna turn this into a Seven Dwarves deck.
This combo is extraordinaire, hahahahha
Chris gets the easiest opponents i swear... Is there some kind of mm trick? Every game I play is against the most meta deck with perfect draws
If I'm correct, it is a combination of Chris playing at a low rank + how the Matchmaking work. The matchmaker will always pairs you with deck that is on the same power level as you. So, Chris plays jank, he also get jank opponent. And because this is a video, there could be more game where the Mm gives a high-tier where obviously he lose but decide to left that out.
@@amirunsyafiq That is not how it works in ranked, you get matched up only based on your rank, not your deck.
@@jaroslavszaharenkovs6273how do you know?
Well first of all, these videos are edited so he just doesn't show us every time he gets stomped into the ground by mono red aggro
And second, the Arena algorithm probably has no clue what to match his jank piles against, so he defaults to the bottom tier
@@amirunsyafiq I think his location plays a factor. He's in Japan I think.
Shame the game doesn't allow more than 250 tokens. It could have just handled it similar to the way it handles the mana costs, only showing the numbers. That's what you would do with real MtG. Nonartifact spells would have cost 2057 more to cast.
Chris talking about ornithopter costing 69 like it's not an artifact.
😄🤣... What a great idea. Very good video as usual.
Middle Carl is Carl from the shows aqua teen hunger force.
Carl from Aqua team hunger force . Worth watching
I miss the Dingus Egg 😭
Would like to see a sheoldred in this decklist
Chris, you should change the name of your channel to Janklord Magic
This deck is the opposite of my Reaper King edh deck which strives to make him permanently free and not much else but I have the option of making 70+ copies of helm of awakening.... At that point its overkill, but hey, jank is fun
This is the funniest deck I've seen ever
Why aren't you playing spells Step-opponent?😏
The tax man comes for us all one day. (69)
That was hilarious! 😁
The only way out is with Urza's Sylex lol
Hilarious you recognize Carl Jung but not Carl from Aqua Teen Hunger Force.
This hand is terrible. But, you know what, we're gonna' play it anyway, it'll be fine ... probably.
Wait, why are we losing?? Ohh right, the absolute poop in our hand... Remind me why we kept this hand?
-----
Sums up about one or two out of every batch of games on this channel, no? :P
You are totally nuts. But it works.
Should tey something like this woth precursor golem
Waiting to see how this deck wins
oh 400000 golem of course
Elf mana ramp with cards power of 3-4 draw a card into eldrazi
Inflation is hitting mtg arena hard with this deck!
So... My new favorite deck
NO!!!! I am only watched this so You play the lanowar elf for 68 mana and You did not delivered. I ma going to cry in the mtg corner.
top notch [:
A lot of possessions were annoyed today.
Broke - playing and cloning lodestone golems
Woke - not playing any artefacts in your own deck to cast afterwards 😂
When I hear the word "woke" I get a stroke.
Why would you need to when you create 65 treasure tokens per turn
This was entertaining
PSA: qq to sac all treasures.
GG
So my eleves wouldn't care about this lol I mass ramp tokens that can tap for 2 each and then will remove all artifacts with one cards overload and then enchaments will take me a bit lol
Chris is the shoulder devil of mtg. No where else have I seen such diabolical combos. He makes vito/exquisite blood look boring and dumb.
Yorion shuffle twice!
Vote to bring back Chris's magenta 69 cm mohawk
A little too greedy on that last game!
But god Pharaohs statue
Ornithopter is an artifact. So still zero.
Mans shuffle cheated against you in the first game
LOL
What is the deal with these 200+ card decks in historic? Bots? Children? I never see such a thing in standard unfortunately.
4:20 This is such a glaring flaw with how MtG operates, I can't believe Wizards hasn't addressed this problem, yet. So many other card games have come up with solutions for this resource stall problem, so clearly it's a resolvable issue, and yet, it persists in Magic, especially in paper Magic. It's one of my biggest turn-offs from the game, honestly; it's probably the main reason I don't play it myself, anymore.
I've tried kitchen table rules that make the game play similar to other card games (turn a land over from a land stack every turn, choose to draw from spells vs lands deck each turn, etc.), but the trouble with any kind of guaranteed resource producer each turn is how lands are structured in MTG. They're so much more than mere resource producers with the abilities built into non-basics, so to guarantee one on each turn morphs the game into something much different. It's fun, but it's a much different game.
@j k The OnePiece TCG has a separate pile for mana, first player to play gets 1 to start, after that every player puts 2 lands on the field every turn; that said they only have one type of land. Some abilities require you to shuffle your mana back to your mana pile.
@@-estancialiberty-1756 That's part of the problem: too many lands have good abilities, which given that lands are already too integrated into the main deck cards, means the problem becomes even more difficult to solve.
@j k Separate decks for mana (Force of Will), guaranteed mana each turn (Hearthstone), cards themselves counting as resources (Yu-gi-oh!, Keyforge), etc.
@j k It's a shame.
Second
Oh hell no I’m out
