@atourdeforce He doesn't use any pedals for his basic sound. He uses a tube amp, a little bit cranked (not too much). A '57 Fender Twin Amp. And his Fender has mid-boost in it, which makes everything brake up earlier. Hope you understand this.
@EricClaptonFan24 thanks for the reply but he def uses a pedal for this, i have a fender twain amp and his sig guitar and cant get this sound, its clearly compressed. but only for this song, my guess is that lee his guitar tech switches on/off something in the backround. he used to use a keeley compressor pedal until he used lace sensors which sound compressed, bt when he switched back to fvn i suspect he uses some sort of compressor rarely for songs like this. I appreciate the reply!!
@EricClaptonFan24 maybe not but this sound is totally different to the sound on the other songs from this night. even reconsider baby sounds totally different, can you not hear it, and i dont think a change in playing styles between songs ect ect or something else small would make this sound, while changing volumes, tbx, mids, amp running hard makes a great diff in sound you wont get this sound from any of the above, i have the gear and a 57.der is deff something being used, listen to both songs
@atourdeforce No man, Clapton doesn't use compressors. I had a compressor, doesn't give you this sound. Maybe you don't get this sound with the same gear because of the volume. Makes a big difference. His amp is loud, but REALLY loud. Also his '57 twin amp is been modified to break up earlier. Really, no compressor.
does any1 know how he gets this sound, does he use a compressor or phazor pedal or something?? ive never used these pedals so its hard to know it his guitar is not distorted at all, or very distorted at a love volume?? please help?? if i had to guess id say compressor with lots of distortion volume turned right down.
