- She will return with a vengeance. Furiosa : A Mad Max Saga - Only in theaters May 24.
Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth star in Academy Award-winning mastermind George Miller’s “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga,” the much-anticipated return to the iconic dystopian world he created more than 30 years ago with the seminal “Mad Max” films. Miller now turns the page again with an all-new original, standalone action adventure that will reveal the origins of the powerhouse character from the multiple Oscar-winning global smash “Mad Max: Fury Road.” The new feature from Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures is produced by Miller and his longtime partner, Oscar-nominated producer Doug Mitchell (“Mad Max: Fury Road,” “Babe”), under their Australian-based Kennedy Miller Mitchell banner.
As the world fell, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the Wasteland, they come across the Citadel presided over by The Immortan Joe. While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.
Taylor-Joy stars in the title role, and along with Hemsworth, the film also stars Alyla Browne and Tom Burke.
Miller penned the script with “Mad Max: Fury Road” co-writer Nico Lathouris. Miller’s behind-the-scenes creative team includes first assistant director PJ Voeten and second unit director and stunt coordinator Guy Norris, director of photography Simon Duggan (“Hacksaw Ridge,” “The Great Gatsby”), composer Tom Holkenborg, sound designer Robert Mackenzie, editor Eliot Knapman, visual effects supervisor Andrew Jackson and colorist Eric Whipp. The team also includes other longtime collaborators: production designer Colin Gibson, editor Margaret Sixel, sound mixer Ben Osmo, costume designer Jenny Beavan and makeup designer Lesley Vanderwalt, each of whom won an Oscar for their work on “Mad Max: Fury Road.”
Warner Bros. Pictures Presents, in Association with Village Roadshow Pictures, A Kennedy Miller Mitchell Production, A George Miller Film, “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.” The film will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, in theaters only nationwide on May 24, 2024 and internationally beginning on 22 May, 2024. - Фільми й анімація

That's an actual thing by the way, there's even races with motorcycles pulling chariots.
Mad Max is one of the most metal things ever made
Motorcycle Chariot Racing was big in the 1920s and had a resurgence in popularity in the 1960s in Australia. It's NUTS!
A film that shows what the future will be like caused by global warming
"Where are you going?? So FULL of hope? THERE IS NO HOPE!" Might be the mad max-iest line I've heard in any of the films and the delivery was spot on.
We need to keep George Miller alive so he can keep making these movies for as long as possible.
Get Miller an abode in the Green place!
And how do you suppose we do that?
If memory serves, he had story for three films, the third involving Max and picking up where Fury Road left off...
@@erikfreymuth6137 Supposedly we'll be getting a new Mad Max sequel in the future as well. Not sure how far along it is, but I imagine the goal is to have it done by 2029 for the 50th anniversary.

Cant believe miller is 80 year's old , nobody can continue this epic series except him.
He's going out epic.
It's garbage.
@ManiacalManiac Then why are you here, troll? That movie hasn’t even been released yet? And yet, you’re just gonna put down some negative comments about it

I haven't been this giddy for a movie in a very long time. Thank you George Miller.
Some fun facts:
1. The script for this movie was given to Charlize Theron to help her prepare for Fury Road. It pre-dates Fury Road and Miller thought about making it first.
2. If you’ve played the Mad Max videogame from 2015, it gives a lot of background about the characters in this movie, including Chris Hemsworth’s.
3. If this movie follows the videogame lore, then Chris Hemsworth’s character is the father of the little girl that Mad Max keeps having visions of during Fury Road (Glory the Child).
Are you serious?! That’s effing awesomeness at its most awesomeness!
but isnt mad max the game's seperate from the canon? since it was drastically different from the 2015 movie which was suppossed to be a tie-in?
#1 and #2 are only partial truths, but overall is legit.
it has been almost 10 years since fury road, If he really had the whole script done back then why did it take this long to finally make it? at this rate if he is trying to set up something with glory the child it will take another 10 or maybe more to tell it. By the time he finishes this at the rate he is going only the most hardcore fans will even remember fury road by the time it comes out
you should check out the Hope & Glory fanfilm that's coming out on May 5- from Brightstone pictures

Miller: ‘Chris I’m gunna need you to turn your Aussie accent up all the way.

Pretty disappointing to see Miller cast an unconvincing clown for the role. Chris can’t even pull off a few one liners as demonstrated in this trailer. Lengthy list of quality actors who would’ve stayed this role. Sharlto Copley to name one of many.

@putrirezkia7616 No, she is the same Furiosa. This movie is a prequel to Fury Road. It tells the story of Furiosa from her childhood to teenage & how she was abducted from her family & how she ended up with Immortan Joe, and also how she lost her arm.

I still remember the first epic Mad Max movie with Mel Gibson decades ago. I told everyone at work how great the movie was and one high school intern took it to heart and ask his parents and pre-teen siblings to go watch it. I'd felt guilty when he explained about his family's reaction to what they saw. But I'm still laughing to this day about that.

Oscar for Hemsworth just for this trailer. Not just best acting he’s ever done, he surpasses many other best actor winners.
I saw "The Road Warrior" in 1982 with my father at a drive in theater and we both LOVED that movie! Top ten all time great!
Sadly my wife passed away just days before "Fury Road" came out. My father was visiting for the funeral and we saw "Fury Road" in 3D at the Theater and it was wonderful! I went back 2 days later to see it again in 2D and that was how I recommend people watch it as the 3D effects were more distracting than cool. Can't wait to see this one in theaters. I'll have to figure out how to meet my father to see it since he moved 400 miles away.
I’m sorry for your loss. Be sure to reach out to your dad and make an effort to see this together. Hope you guys enjoy.
I hope you get a chance to watch it together, but if that doesn't work out, you can try to watch it at the same time in your respective cities and call/Facetime each other immediately after. I've had to do that with loved ones who lived far away. It's not the same, obviously, but it still helps to know they're seeing the same thing as you when something epic happens onscreen. 1:54 A knuckle-duster revolver knife sorrounded by dead smartphones used as mirrors? Yep, that's a Mad Max movie
The knife-revolver-knuckle duster is a preexisting weapon used by Apaches...remember seeing the picture of one in a DK Publishing book on guns and weapons.
That feels bit off, wasn't "the apocalypse" in mad max lore way before smartphones? The original trilogy starts in mid 1980's and ends in 2005.
Adam Savage is likely already screen capping that weapon and furiously making one on Tested already I am sure.

Yes, it has way more CGI than Fury Road, but that film took over a decade from concept to the finished product. The director is 79 years old, so he had to go this route to ensure completion. I'm just glad it got done.
Yeah, you can’t have 80 year old George Miller shooting in 105°F heat. Let the FX house give our legend a hand.
We need mad max ending waste land before he goes!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’ve seen fury road soo much times I can’t wait
Plus, there's still obviously a bunch of cool practical stunts in it.
Fury Road has an insane amount of CGI, stop believing Redditers who think that color grading is computer imagery. It ain't.
Literally no explosion in Fury Road was real. All fire was FX. Every car wreck was touched by CG. Every *single* mountain and cloud is CG- those mountains don't exist in the wastelands of Aus, and clouds are not always cumulus 24/7. They did not have people in the draft of scrap metal being blown apart, or the set would've had 50 deaths, lol.... c'mon, man. Common sense tells you that if you watch the movie. God forbid you watch the sandstorm scene which is a literal green screen scene.
Just think about it a little bit and turn the 'Vivid' color off your phone or TV and watch this trailer and Fury Road again and it's pretty easy to pick up on.
This has more CG, yes. But the people who claim Fury Road was 'almost all practical' did not watch the making of Fury Road because they're very clear about it. Everyone is welcome to view that for themselves if they so wish to challenge their own belief.
Also, the Fury Road trailer thumbnail is the worst CG thing George Miller ever did, but people tend to have short memories....
Fury Road also did not take a decade because of shooting, they were not on location in Aus for 10 years. Not even close, actually... I think they went there twice and it amount to a half year total? Lol. It was shelved and reshelved, money was argued over, and weather conditions sucked. If they were actively trying to shoot for 10 years that thing would have a 1.5 billion dollar budget.
@poopurpoop wow, thanks for all this info. I never believed that Fury Road was 90% real, as many claim. I know, based on the documentary, that they built all the vehicles and they were fully operational. I know the shoot itself wasn't close to 10 years, but wanting to film in such a harsh environment, combined with a higher practical effects in mind approach, made the process of getting it done stretch way beyond the vast majority of movies that would have just thrown pure CGI at it. While Furiosa does look more cartoony, I don't consider that to be a bad thing. I think and hope it will be a blast.
Hemsworth is on record as saying he's proud of finally being in an Aussie producted mad max film.
he also said this was the best experience of his entire career

It was the way she said "You find him he's mine!"that really sold it for me. She brought the wrathful vengeance and rage that was cemented originally by Charlize and I am all for it!
Chris Hemsworth too. His "there's no hope" tells how everyone feels in this post apocalyptic universe.
@@Demystificator I'm really curious to see how he does in this film. I heard he had tons of fun with this film and it clearly shows. I loved Extraction 2 and Spiderhead, which those films show that Chris Hemsworth gets more free range and respect than Marvel ever gave Thor in the last reign of Marvel and I'm probably alone in thinking that.
Incredible delivery yeah
2 Desert masterpieces in the year😮
Also from same studio
Also Anya Taylor Joy
Kong will fight the Goji boy in desert too
Anya is in both ❤
sounds like nirvana but obviously orchestrated up
Mad max 3 will be Furiosa and Max reunited ❤
Mad Max 3 is called Beyond the Thunderdome!
2 men enter, 1 man leaves!
This is one of the greatest trailers that I have ever watched
Two actors that have matured in much different veins, coming together in a spectacular fashion. The casting was so good it was like stars aligning especially considering Anya can pull off a young Charlize Theron.
Ah now I get it. With “green place” they meant the green screen studio
You figured it out! 🤣
shots fired :D
This looks amazing
crazy how 2 of my favorite movies this year take place in the desert. Furiosa and Dune
Chris Hemsworth looks like he’s about to have the time of his life in this film as the villain and I am here for it🙏🏻
Dare we say Chris will receive some type of award for this? He looks amazing!
He looks like he's having fun but in all honesty he just looks like he's playing an evil Thor. The same type of goofy stuff he's done in Thor 3 and 4 but as a villian.
You people are pathetic.
@@boomstickcritique902 Yea, obvious cash grab attempt in order to lure the marvel geeks to watch this movie. Horrible decision and it's gonna be nowhere as good as Fury Road.
@@bbqdsushi2585Yeah, you definitely know that for a fact.
