    Bolas hit the nail on the head in the wowhead article. And good on him calling out Blizzard's hypocrisy

    @LordoftheWarcraft Hey :) Can you help me understand something? How does the new mastery in regards to the judgment part work exactly? I've heard somewhere that the effect with the extra holy damage can only occur on the primary target, even though it doesn't say that.
    So if you have 3 targets and you cast judgement (with the talent so that it does hit up to 3 targets) and it hits all 3, do all 3 have a chance to proc the extra effect from the new mastery or just the primary target hit by judgment?

    • @LordoftheWarcraft
      @LordoftheWarcraft  5 місяців тому

      My understanding is also that it only affects the primary target. If I find evidence of it otherwise I will return to this comment to tell you!

    Having no reason to bring Ret does feel bad.
    I dont think absorbing spell warding is the answer though.
    Honestly, if anything Id prefer like giving Ret like Mass divine steed and everyone gets on a horse 😅

    I don't know why they don't just make Aura Mastery base line to all paladins so that way the raid buff that Paladins bring will be even over all specs of paladin. They can give Holy something else that actually helps them heal but this would guarantee that they are not taken to raid by default over any other spec of Paladin.

      I think it's to avoid a castle nathria situation where you brought multiple DKs and pretty much always played a blood DK becasue og 20% dr AMZ was too strong. If ret had access and were tuned similar to how they were in season 3 you'd just stack ret pallys for Aura Mastery and damage.

    • @benprescott8646
      @benprescott8646 5 місяців тому +1

      @@PB-sb9of They could cause Aura Mastery to cause the old Forbearance debuff to come in and stop it from being stacked for all situations. Its either that or just remove Aura Mastery from the game so one spec does not have an ability to manipulate our raid buff to make it better for a short time. As it is right now if you only have one spot in your raid for a paladin to bring the raid buff it will always be Holy since they have a way to make the raid buff way better for a time with Aura Mastery.

      @PB-sb9of 5 місяців тому +1

      @@benprescott8646 The Forbearance idea would prob be a good choice then that way Ret wouldn't be left out of the buff discussion when discussing which Pally spec you want since it wouldn't favor a particular spec. They just gotta be careful with it since the AMZ change made in response to CN era AMZ made it barely useful for Blood and super weak for Frost and Unholy before it got fixed up a bit. I think you're spot on with your suggestion.

    Interesting that Bolas likes holy flames and recons it outclasses Blade of vengeance cause if he's the SIM guy then he should release sims to prove it cause for ST its a basic 3% dmg buff but for AOE I cant see how its out pacing blade of vengenace in nearly any scenario. I prefered vanguard of justice and was sad to see it removed, I submitted feed back to them to put vanguard of justice back into talent tree to replace Inquisitor ires node choice and make it 1 point for 30% stacking 3 times, that would be awesome and give pallies that like that talent an option take it back up. thanks for the video.

    I have been playing the beta for a little over 3 weeks exclusively playing Ret. The talent tree feels so awkward and nothing really synergizes properly alot of our main build is just filler talents that dont matter whatsoever, we are in the same spot we were in S1 of DF. Just existing with no real reason to have us in a PvP or PvE setting.

    It's definitely better. However, I have concerns about pvp skills and the lack of changes in defense. Divine Prptection is currently at 10%, this is a joke.

    I'm DONE with Retri, with the Pala class in general but Retri, specifically, I'm giving up and rerolling for another class, maybe DK because the devs have been giving a lot of things Palas had to them (which is nuts). Holy Power doesn't work, it never works since Cata, and Blizzard never even managed to make it work (and it fucked the rotation permanently). Blessings/Great Blessings and Seals will probably never comeback, and ALL auras came back useless back in SL and instead of making them useful again, they're choosing to remove Retribution Aura (once again).
    Our talent tree has way too many nonsensical and arbitrary options, having to choose between abilities that were in the BASE spellbook, for no reason other than filling the tree with filler. And now, removing those few meaningful options, like Crusader's Reprieve, and nerfing the more reasonably strong passives like Vengeful Wrath, just makes me feel utterly useless. Retri is in a position where the players are desperate to make it work, make it versatile, and Blizzard is just giving us less and less tools to do it, to the point that the raw DPS is meaningless. The devs are constantly changing their minds with this class design, never maintaining a consistent baseline.
    I was actually curious to see the Hero Talents, but those changes just pissed me off and it was the final straw for me. I'm not gonna play Retri ever again, unless they finally hear the players and remove Holy Power (at least), or stop that mentality. It's baffling that DK can attack while MOUNTED, and Palas cannot. Screw you, Blizzard.
