As a 30+ who also got laid off this year, I felt this. But despite your "lazy" year I am still in awe of the amount of effort that goes into a side hustle. I feel like I barely did anything worthwhile this year aside from my goal to read a book a day. My last 5 months of unemployment have been a little rough but your goal setting and this video in general have inspired me to figure out what the heck i'm going to do with my 2024 and hopefully it will lead to me feeling less untethered. constructive feedback from a new viewer. i'm not one that usually plays with playback speed, and maybe just an issue because this is more personal and you seemed kind of nervous about opening up. but, slow down a bit. i put it it .75 playback speed and it made a world of difference in listening comfortably. just something to look at and think about for the future.

i appreciate that! i’m hoping to include moments of personal things (car chats with haden, etc) in some of my less lifestyle focused vids coming up. but i’m trying to get pregnant/ potentially have a kiddo next year and i’m not sure if i’ll be up for documenting my day! i also knew i wasn’t going to show kiddo online so it feels like a natural progression.

Thank you for being so real! I think job loss is such a common millennial problem so it's nice to hear you talk about it. I had a situation this year, falling out of love with my previous career path (law) that I've been building since uni and trying to create something new. Along the way I started and lost a new job and did some admin work that wasn't for me. Forging a new path is so hard, but I'm now in a job where I see so much potential, but it's been a rocky year getting there. I'm sorry to hear you got laid off but glad to hear good things are going to come from it for you and im so excited to see the new direction for your channel. Hearing you mention doing short form content also makes me so happy! Trying to keep up with 50 minute plus videos from my favourite creators is one of the things I struggle with and I tend to skim through the lifestyle blogs so I think you're absolutely going in the right direction. You should focus more time on TikTok for growth IMO. you already have high quality yt videos. Pumping the TikTok alg might be worth more
constructive feedback from a new viewer. i'm not one that usually plays with playback speed, and maybe just an issue because this is more personal and you seemed kind of nervous about opening up. but, slow down a bit. i put it it .75 playback speed and it made a world of difference in listening comfortably. just something to look at and think about for the future.
that’s why i love the playback button ;) my speech is not something i’m open to changing.

I don't want you to feel like I'm trying to convince you to keep the lifestyle content going - I fully respect/support your decision to shift away from it again for your own reasons, much like I supported your previous decision to lean into it a bit more in the first place in the past - BUT .. that being said .. I also just wanted you to know that I really don't have any idea what you mean by always saying that you're not very good at it, I'm not ordinarily even a lifestyle content kind of girlie[ so maybe my judgment doesn't mean much here] but I really enjoyed your more chill/laidback style content. Even when I went through phases this year where I sometimes wasn't watching much else from anybody across youtube, I was still tuning in for your lifestyle vlogs. I just turned 19 and I love Chandler's channel! I'm an only child and watching her feels like watching an older sister. Her content is really the only I watch consistently and she is so great!
Just a little feedback, I'm a bit sadend by the sentence that you say that you will share less personal things because some of us are here to read 1% of the books you recommand and 99% invested in this cool dynamic that you have with your hb, your great personality, your real life, day to day choores and happenings. I understand the professional mentality and attracting people who need a necessery value in the content, but we others are invested/interested in you ❤
i appreciate that! i’m hoping to include moments of personal things (car chats with haden, etc) in some of my less lifestyle focused vids coming up. but i’m trying to get pregnant/ potentially have a kiddo next year and i’m not sure if i’ll be up for documenting my day! i also knew i wasn’t going to show kiddo online so it feels like a natural progression.

I was let go from a job I hated on my birthday, right before the holidays. 🙄 Glad to be out of there, but looking for a new job is really stressful. So, spicy books have been a Wonderful distraction. Where have spicy books been all my life!😂😂

Also I'm 27 and while I do watch younger creators, having creators closer to my age is way more relatable (just based on general life experiences)

Hi Chandler, I am 35 and I LOVE your content! Im a pretty successful risk manager at a bank and then when the day ends, what do I do, I come to YT and I love watching your channel and also other people, especially if they are a little older (but like CMON, I consider mid 30 as what it is and not "old" whatever). Previously what I am doing now, I also had a 3 year long gap when I was unemployed. It was really tough but I learned a lot from that time. I think its amazing you take it as a sign to do YT and I be here to support you!! BIG HUGS!!

Thank you for being so real! I think job loss is such a common millennial problem so it's nice to hear you talk about it. I had a situation this year, falling out of love with my previous career path (law) that I've been building since uni and trying to create something new. Along the way I started and lost a new job and did some admin work that wasn't for me. Forging a new path is so hard, but I'm now in a job where I see so much potential, but it's been a rocky year getting there.
I'm sorry to hear you got laid off but glad to hear good things are going to come from it for you and im so excited to see the new direction for your channel.
Hearing you mention doing short form content also makes me so happy! Trying to keep up with 50 minute plus videos from my favourite creators is one of the things I struggle with and I tend to skim through the lifestyle blogs so I think you're absolutely going in the right direction.
