Funny thing, I have a guitar that I got from a neighbour that was meant to be thrown out. The strings were a little rusted, the frets were chipped and some strings would buzz no matter how you played it. It was demotivating to play sometimes because I couldn’t produce a good sound and I genuinely thought it was impossible to play harmonics on the guitar because of its make (it’s from toys r us). However, I decided to swallow my skill issue and just learn. Now I can play natural harmonics no problem. The string action bothers me a little but it ain’t gonna stop me. I told myself that if I can keep playing guitar until summer and learn to seriously, I’d buy myself a good quality beginners guitar.

I started out on a busted ass squier bullet that my dad found in a dumpster, didn't even have an amp for it. The first guitar lesson I ever learned was to suck it up, cause where there's a will there's a way. Even now, 10 years in I dont feel the need to play with a crazy setup. Just keep going and if you really want it you'll get better regardless of what gear you're using.

I have a similar one and it usually stays in tune well. I mean, you may only need to slightly tune it once every 2 days? But it is not a big deal, usually like 1-2 minutes of work.
The problem with mine was that my 5 and 6 strings (the thin ones) ring a little bit too much. But through the amp it sounds ok. Usable.
Edit: apparently 2 days was an overstatement. It stays in tune for a week+ for sure. It was a little bit unstable right after changing the strings (so it was every 2 days), but later became much more stable.

I one bought a $600 Les Paul because I thought it looked cool and I thought it would sound good. I later bought a cheap knock-off Stratocaster, Kimaxe brand, made in the 80's, apparently very rare these days but still not worth much. I put some new strings on the Kimaxe and I loved it too death. It was easy to play, sounded great, and was cheap enough that I wasn't afraid to beat the hell out of it. I sold the Les Paul a few weeks later and never regretted it for a second. I lost the Kimaxe after a bad breakup and I've regretted it every day for the rest of my life.
