For all the black repaints we got of combiner teams, I'm flummoxed as to why we didn't get one for the combaticons. It's the Decep black ops team! We have black Feral Rex, Seacons, Arielbots - but no Combaticon Noir ;-p.
Much as I dislike that this was an exlusive, I think MMC did a great job with this and look forward to the rest of the team. I'm very impressed by the changes they made: new chest (of back if you use the original transformation), a new head and new upper arms (sans wheels and with a slider for the elbows). They even added screw hole covers for the upper arms. I do agree that colour wise it's not very interesting looking with the orange making the green look dull. But that is accurate to Car Robots Greejeeper, who it is supposed to be. But the colours are more based on the the toy and perhaps in this case animation accuracy would perhaps be more interesting. That or the Hasbro toy deco, both are a lighter shade of green.

One day some crazy company will make a homage to Arnold's mercs from the movie Predator using the Combaticons... maybe they will combine to be a robotic Predator.
I so wish MMC's combiners were at least close to the Zeta/FansToys scale, because they generally at least look good in every mode, and they're just genius engineering. I'm fine with partsforming with combiners, but respect the hell out of ones that pull it off without.
i been out the game so long.... i think FT DEADEND ended my fervor for collecting all on its own... but i am getting back to the game....that said..Swindle is one of my favorite bots and i DONT OWN HIM in my collection...
Ok, late to this one…I’m not buying these, and I have no expectations on MMC as far as paint is concerned cause they don’t do a lot of paint…but this figure needed it…BAD
I hate MMC's business practices so much. Their exclusives were already pretty egregious but now an exclusive combiner? And a retooled one that people like myself actually want, at that. I think once I finish Defensor and the tapes, I'm probably done with them. They're still falsely advertising things like their Springer repaint (the colours don't match their photos) and their Cliffjumper repackage (because it's not a repaint despite advertising otherwise). Heck, their latest Ravage release is GREEN! Guess they'll blame that on the customer like usual...
i think it looks boring, uninspired, like there is no passion put into it. It seems like they were saying "here you go, we had to make this one, and this is what you get"

Zeta figures are basic and only look good in combine mode. Fantoys do look good in every mode.
