My headcanon is the Bumblebee, Hot Rod, and Hot Shot are a trio of rookie autobots that are scouts, best friends with each other, and gone on to better things after the war ends. Hot Rod becomes Rodimus Prime, bumblebee would become a veteran of war who taught the next generation of bots like Kup, and Hot Shot would become the new commander of the elite guard after ultra magnus would step down and retire. Edit: Hot Shot would have the colour scheme combination of the RID 2001 and Cybertron incantations of the characters. The flames on the hood of the car and the blueish colour of his cybertron scheme with a yellow helmet like his armada desgin. As for his vehicle mode, Hot Shot would be a 2004 Chrysler ME Four-Twelve, Hot Rod is a Lamborghini with his G1 colour's and his spoiler from the G1 desgin but modified for a Lamborghini irl, and bumblebee is a Volkswagen Beatle like always. His origin: Hot Shot was a native of the cybertronian coloney planet, Velocitron but would be stuck on Cybertron after a decepticon terrorist attack would shut down the space bridges to the ther coloney planets and he joined the autobots to fight back against megstrons army. Wheeljack would give Hot Shot speciel optic enhancing goggles with different modes like X-ray, heat, ultra violet, and inferred vision to help his fellow scouts, Bumblebee and Hot Rod.
@@dragonscorpion4008 hey, go nuts man, I love writing new ideas for these characters. If you want one for prowl, mine is that he was a corrupt cop who was partnered with Barricade before the war and barricade didn't like the corrupt prowl so he joined megatron. I just picked up the legacy one recently (ordered it on Amazon and accidentally had it shipped to my dorm over break). It's simple but I love it and really still feels like his old toy.
Fabulous and I happily have the newer Legacy Hotshot and the new Cybertron one, I also picked up the blue Crosshairs. I had no idea he came from RID2001 very cool especially since he was with Iron(Ox)hide
It’s so funny to me how many characters popped up in RID, and people have no memory of it. I know I call Energon the middle child syndrome of Transformers, but I feel like RID is the cousin no one remembers until they pop up at the Thanksgiving dinner.
Aye a boy i suggested! Ive loved hotshot since i was a kid. Although i never could afford him my mom didnt know much so she got me allspark getaway and i love energon im biased it was apart of my childhood
Hey, I’m not knocking Energon! I get how important it is to a lot of people. Getaway is a sick figure, too! I love the colors! Always love to hear from my favorite walrus. How are things going, man?
I remember seeing the first Transformers live action movie and just being appalled that they were basically calling a character that for all intents and purposes was Hotshot, Bumblebee. Bumblebee in G1 was great and all, but let's face it he was always the damsel in distress. The heroic action hero in yellow was ALWAYS Hotshot.
Great Hot Shots all around! And I get that, but I do think there’s a difference between the Brothers Hot. Rod is an adventurer at heart, I think he’d be happier with no war and being allowed to explore to his hearts content. As for Hot Shot, I think he takes far more pride in being a soldier. The best way to put would be that is Hot Rod becomes a great Prime, I think Hot Shot would become a great Magnus.
You know there is an upgrade kits for the Generation Selects Hot Shot? Matrix Workshops M25. It adds back the cannons and shoulder and leg missile packs. Plus two blades. Basically all the Hot Shot figures are my grails.
I am not the biggest Bee fan, and I know nothing about Hot Shot, but this video makes me feel like the fandom, and Transformers in general, really missed out by letting Hot Shot slip from the lime light.
And to be fair, I am bias, very much so. That said, I think the greatest strength of our fandom is the diversity amongst it, as well as how open we are to that. Transformers fans will complain about toys and argue which show is the best, but the fandom generally sticks together. I feel like we could have achieved this even earlier if we moved away from being a boys club sooner. Prime and IDW got us there, but I think Animated could have brought us there even sooner. I know people might laugh when I say this, but if you kept everything about Animated Ratchet exactly the same but subbed in Red Alert and kept her female, I think that would have meant so much. Same thing with Arcee in the 07 movie. To a lot of people, that’s a small change. But to someone who can’t relate as easily to a male character as they could a female character, Red Alert could have been the open door into the fandom for so many more people.
You know, funnily enough, in early Armada episodes, Hot Shot does get called Hot Rod. Never made the Japanese connection before. But, yeah, Hot Shot is pretty redundant these days. Rodimus has had a hell of a redemption arc with the fanbase, and, yeah, Bumblebee is back as the second face of Transformers.
The whole Bumblebee thing didn't really bother me till Transformers one. The fact that they choose bumblebee to be Orions buddy( aside from D-16), instead of Jazz, Ironhide or Rathet is absurd. Jazz has always been Optimus right hand man and while, I am glad he was in it....having his role pretty much stolen from him, a role he has had since the franchises conception goes to show how terrifying Bumblebee''s reach is.
My main issue with Bee is that he has no defining characteristics. It’s all touch and go, no consistency. Even in shows he’s not in, like Rescue Bots, characters talk about how amazing he is. Bee is like a successful Poochie.
I can't wait to see what the rumored excellion is going to look like if it's going to be more along the lines of the takara version or if it's going to be like the Hasbro version
I completely agree about Energon being middle child and underwhelming compared to the toy designs of Armada and especially Cybertron, weirdly though I think Energon Megatron is the best version of him in all the Unicron Trilogy
Was a member in: Aligned countinuity and idw 2019 Role: he is the scout of the crew and one of the most innocent member of the crew Recommended toy: cybertron defense hotshot and legacy evolution powerlinx hot shot because they have the most fire power
1:08 if only A lot of transformers fans avoid UT or og RID for no reason and then talk nonsense afterwards Hotshot is the better hot rod, had an arc with scavanger, blurr, smokescreem and his ex friend wheeljack, growing until he was put as the one in command after Prime’s death
I agree all the way! I hate how so many people here what the old guard of the fandom say and treat it like gospel. I’d watch any episode of Armada before I’d sit down to watch G1 for fun.
I love hotshot and hope we get more of him instead of always bumblebee. I grew up watching energon and am one of the few people on earth who like it. For me, that energon design pops up first when thinking about hotshot. I really hope there's we get more energon figures In the next toyline. The designs we phenomenal but had flaws. I know it's hard to make them combine, so I'd even be okay with non combining energon figures
I really like the Energon designs. My favorite Rodimus design still comes from Energon, same with Galvatron. I hope we see them pop up in Legacy sometime.
I have a really good idea for a transformers series, im gonna let optomus and megatron dies and their bodies got lost in the ocean together, with some autobots and decepticon stranded on earth, they race to locate the shell of optimus and megatron, ironhide who witnessed optimus's sacrifice was tasked to lead the autobots stranded on earth to help find another planet to live since cybertron is dying, the decepticons with shockwave leading the group is trying to find megatron, revive him and use the earth as a fuel for cybertron, the Autobots cast in my story has Ironhide(leader), Hotshot(the kid), wheeljack(medic), sideswipe and Jazz, and the decepticons with Shockwave, soundwave(with all his minicons), blitzwing(multiple personality), Drift(personal beef with Sideswipe and Jazz),and the full construction faction. I would wanna make this story but i don't have time cause of college (Also human characters with Spark Witwicky and Sari Sumdac)
I like this as a concept! Maybe you could just start with a basic outline and then begin to fill out as time goes by. Maybe in a year or so, you could have a script! Let me know if you ever try to make this into a stop motion or an audio thing, I’d love to audition! It’s a cool sounding idea, and I would love to see a story about both sides losing their leaders.
I kind of feel weird about having so much dissonance when it comes to Hot Shot. He can feel like a footnote to me instead of a proper character, IDK maybe it's because my mind went blank when I watched the Unicron Trilogy
Day 2 of asking for Inferno! Only Hot Shot I have in my collection is the Legacy Cybertron one but I would love to get the Cybertron defense force one.
It’s never been fully explained. Depending on the designer you speak to, he’s either inspired by Rodimus or Bee, or is a combination of the two, or was always meant to be his own character.
Hey bud, that exclusive Hotshot, with Jolt, off the evo mold? Yeah, that's the only version I've got, and paid 35 bucks for him on Amazon, and he's still thee dude. Go get him! You're welcome!

(i know hotshot can't combine but i'd take a non combining rook over none at all) honestly i hope we get excellion in this rare colors. And to be fair to bumblebee..... hotshot stole all those traits from hotrod first and took his spot. lol I like most transformers. but i'd be into a revolving door for the three. or at least a little love for all.
I agree to all of this. The way I see it, I know every series needs an Optimus and a Megs. Past that, I’d honestly love to see different team line-ups in every new continuity, with there being a goal to have at least one new character per side in the core cast each time.
I really hated bumblebee since animated due to him replaced Hot Shot. But my first transformers cartoon was armada (it was beast wars. I didnt remember beast wars fully until i watched it years in 2022. I thought it was something when i was younger). So i was bias. Nah, just a thing I like doing. In the first three episodes of MANY Toys of, I would Twitch up offhandedly. I only noticed after the Knock Out episode that Twitch was the only character to be brought up in all three, so I decided that she would be in every episode after that.
I’m a Bumblebee fan. We need a new series where Hot Shot or Rodimus, or both if their characters are different enough, is the focus and not Bumblebee, even for a diehard fan like me, the market is over saturated with Bumblebee.
Armada is a better show than it gets credit for as it sadly gets lumped in with the awful Energon and Cybreton. But the storytelling and character development in Armada is far above the two sequel series.
So, hear me out: Starscream is going to be the 10k MANY Toys of. As for Armada Screamer, I’m thinking about giving his toy an episode of “Toys That Broke the Mold”.
@ronbondujon9690 fair enough, definitely give a highlight on his Super Starscream color scheme because the his deco that broke the mold in many ways such as most iconic scene
I will say, in terms of differentiating Hot Shot from Bumblebee and Rodimus, your mention of Red Alert originally being female in TFA me thinking: Why not make Hot Shot a girl? I mean, we don't have any recurring female characters with that archetype over Transformers as a series, it seems like it'd be a cool idea!
I saw this comment earlier and I adore it! It would be cool to maybe lean into a punk rock aesthetic, maybe have Hot Shot be more defined as a counter culture type of Autobot that still respected Optimus. I love it!
One thing both you and Chris McFeely forgot to mention about Hot Shot is the fact that the name was originally a pre-release prototype for G1 Warpath.
Believe it or not, that was a part of the video at one time! I cut it out because I thought some people might get confused by it.

@@ronbondujon9690 I still have him, he's just missing his arms- as well as another (same) hot shot with the same problem. I just picked up the legacy one recently (ordered it on Amazon and accidentally had it shipped to my dorm over break). It's simple but I love it and really still feels like his old toy.
@@xendral6329 Maybe the new guy can help the other two with carrying stuff 😂
There’s also the sports car, the more hotheaded attitude, his position as Prime’s surrogate son: the plagiarism goes deep.
Hotshot is one of my favorites! I still haves my prime rid deluxe and my rescuebots ones, for me hotshot is hotrod but younger xd
I’ve always seen HotShot as a distant cousin of Bumblebee
I can see it 😂
Hot Shot was one of the first Transformers characters I knew.
Same. One of my first favorites, too.
Animated Hot Shot and Red Alert look pretty cool!
I wish they at least got toys.
You know there is an upgrade kits for the Generation Selects Hot Shot? Matrix Workshops M25. It adds back the cannons and shoulder and leg missile packs. Plus two blades. Basically all the Hot Shot figures are my grails.
I never saw that! I’d love to see the upgrade kit! I hope you’re able to find a Hot Shot very soon!
A vid on Warpath would be cool!
I’ll make sure he’s on my list!
The many toys of Scourge
Absolutely, some day!
I’m starting to watch armada and I like hotshot more so far. He’s like bumblebee, but more complicated.
I think that’s a good way to put it. I don’t know why, it just feels like Hot Shot has more going on underneath the surface.
The MANY Toys of Ginrai/PowerMaster Optimus Prime - The Action Figure History of Optimus Prime's Good Powered up Clone
Ginrai would be a lot of fun to cover!
Hot Shot could absolutely have a niche today. Him and Cheetor both could have a spot at the table, Hasbro would just have to commit to them.
I’m hoping Takara, but either would look great!
In 15:46 I remember owning this toy back in Puerto Rico such a good time such a great toy
That mold is one of the best Bee has ever had! I love everything about it. Was it a childhood toy for you?
@ yes
Hot Shot is a lot of fun. His day is due to
I hope so!
Big ups to Rescue Bots Academy for bringing our boy back
PREACH!

Energon Hotshots still a design i absolutely love
It has a lot of strong points, especially the shoulder wings!

@@ondururagittandeska2004 Scorponok baby.
I completely agree about Energon being middle child and underwhelming compared to the toy designs of Armada and especially Cybertron, weirdly though I think Energon Megatron is the best version of him in all the Unicron Trilogy
I actually agreet! I’m more nostalgic for Armada Megs, but Energon Galvs is still amazing.
Was a member in:
Aligned countinuity and idw 2019
Role: he is the scout of the crew and one of the most innocent member of the crew
Recommended toy: cybertron defense hotshot and legacy evolution powerlinx hot shot because they have the most fire power
On one hand, I’m glad IDW 2019 used him. On the other hand, I wish he was a more major character.
I dont know that much about hotshot apart from the legacy toy
I’d always recommend Armada, either the dub or the sub. Both have issues, but the good points shine through.
Hot rod needs more justice,he is so cool
Totally agree. Same could be said for any kid appeal character not named after a certain insect.
1:08 if only
A lot of transformers fans avoid UT or og RID for no reason and then talk nonsense afterwards
Hotshot is the better hot rod, had an arc with scavanger, blurr, smokescreem and his ex friend wheeljack, growing until he was put as the one in command after Prime’s death
I would wanna make this story but i don't have time cause of college
(Also human characters with Spark Witwicky and Sari Sumdac)
I like this as a concept! Maybe you could just start with a basic outline and then begin to fill out as time goes by. Maybe in a year or so, you could have a script! Let me know if you ever try to make this into a stop motion or an audio thing, I’d love to audition! It’s a cool sounding idea, and I would love to see a story about both sides losing their leaders.
I kind of feel weird about having so much dissonance when it comes to Hot Shot. He can feel like a footnote to me instead of a proper character, IDK maybe it's because my mind went blank when I watched the Unicron Trilogy
Not a big fan of UT? I get it, I know just how blind nostalgia is probably making me.
O yes, TJ Omega's punching bag!
I’m out here, torn between one of my favorite Transformers and the UA-camr who inspired me the most😂
Day 2 of asking for Inferno!
Only Hot Shot I have in my collection is the Legacy Cybertron one but I would love to get the Cybertron defense force one.
Defense Hot Shot is such a great toy! It’s probably the most unique version of him out there.
RID Hot Shot is called Artfire in Japan.
A Many Toys of Artfire would be cool.
I’ll add him to the list!
U should do a video about hot rod or red alert
I’m waiting for the new Red Alert toy to come out for his episode, but Hot Rod actually already has an episode! It should be in the playlist.
I think I saw a Twitch thumbnail at 20:14 It's a blink and you'll mis it thing. So slow down to maximum slow.
She continues her streak of appearing in every episode!
Thing is though is that Hotshot was supposed to be Bumblebee but licensing
It’s never been fully explained. Depending on the designer you speak to, he’s either inspired by Rodimus or Bee, or is a combination of the two, or was always meant to be his own character.
18:16 ❤ huele a amor😅
Yo tengo el de prime y el de rescue bots
Impresionante! Esos son algunos de mis favoritos! Especialmente Prime.

Aunque el hotshot que más me gusta en diseño es el de Cybertron
Hey bud, that exclusive Hotshot, with Jolt, off the evo mold? Yeah, that's the only version I've got, and paid 35 bucks for him on Amazon, and he's still thee dude. Go get him! You're welcome!
Huh, cool! Still a good chunk of change for a deluxe, but I’ll have to check it out. Thank you!
@@ronbondujon9690 It's kinda worth it honestly. It comes with the minicon, who's actually a banger, and a couple extra gus, from ya know, that one episode, and if i remmeber right, he comes with a set of the jefire blast effects too. Also, his box.. I don't usually care about the box, but the legacy exclusive packages have all been bad ass. His is too. Not Nove Prime's box, but pretty good lol

I'm a g1er and I am so sick of bumblebee because of the bay-verse to the extent when he was killed in ROTB I was excited 😂
That’s how I was with Skybound 🤣
Hot shot was my favorite character growing up, and he was my favorite toy until my mom broke him by kicking him down the hall cause he was in her way
😬 Hot Shot had a pretty rough go of it.
hope you do optimus prime next
Optimus won’t be for a long time. I love him, but he has hundreds and hundreds of toys. That will be, like, the event episode to end all event episodes.
@@ronbondujon9690 what about nemesis prime and I only mean the ones named nemesis prime which means that the one called scourge from rid 2001 doesnt count so it is from armada onwards

@@ronbondujon9690 speaking of what is your favorite design of nemesis prime mine is armada especially the one from the show because there he has the same trailer that optimus has but colored to match him while the toy for some reason doesnt come with it

Totally! I’ll make sure he’s on my list!
Please make another episode about Nemesis Prime because in Transformers Armada it's half zombie.
I’m going to do some smaller videos in January, but Nemesis will get a video eventually!
I love rescue bots academy hot shot hes so halarious and so cute and I have hes action figure
Awesome! I have a couple of toys they did, I really like the F1 Racer Hot Shot.
I hope we get a cybertron defense hotshot. and i hope it gets remolded into rooke. honestly i think hasbro is missing out if they don't do the other limb characters for their current combiners.
I SAW THAT.
I SAW TWITCH
🤫
Hottake incoming i prefer the cybertron design, also GOD WHAT IS THAT ROBOT MODE ON THE ENERGON FIGURE OH MY GOD
Yeah, it’s like a box with legs. It’s great!
@ronbondujon9690 I need a plushie of that design not the show model, the toy design
I really hated bumblebee since animated due to him replaced Hot Shot. But my first transformers cartoon was armada (it was beast wars. I didnt remember beast wars fully until i watched it years in 2022. I thought it was something when i was younger). So i was bias. However, i want both hot shot and bumblebee to share the spotlight like how arcee, Elita-1, and windblade all are.
Exactly! I’d just like to more love given to the entire cast, just a solid rotation!
best kid appeal ( i love bee tho)
I’m really worried that I was too hard on Bee in this episode. I still like him, but Hot Shot was on a whole other level.
16:05 in august I saw this figure at power morphicon in box

@ I blame my sister
So is Cybertron Hotshot the upgraded version of him. Like Goldbug is to Bumblebee?
The Defense Hot Shot is very similar! Basically a grown-up version of him in a very different body.
I like prime hot shot especially due to the color scheme and all honestly it makes the bumblebee mold look meh but hot shot looks like a street racer
That blue is so great! The orange as pairing only makes it better.
20:14 new video? or is this an old one lol
Exactly! Not every Batman story can include the Joker, I don’t see why every Transformers story needs a Bee.

I got picked up the original armada hot shot
Sick! I’m hoping to find one very soon!
Armada is a better show than it gets credit for as it sadly gets lumped in with the awful Energon and Cybreton. But the storytelling and character development in Armada is far above the two sequel series.
Totally agree. Starscream alone should show the storytelling of Armada was incredible.
Who did your editing? The images are all flipped. You definitely did not edited it yourself
No they arent
I watched this on a few different devices and never saw the images mirror. Could it possibly be a glitch or something?
Its a shorter video but do Armada Starscream
So, hear me out: Starscream is going to be the 10k MANY Toys of. As for Armada Screamer, I’m thinking about giving his toy an episode of “Toys That Broke the Mold”.
@ronbondujon9690 fair enough, definitely give a highlight on his Super Starscream color scheme because the his deco that broke the mold in many ways such as most iconic scene
@ It’s THE scene of Armada.
i need to get the seige kingdom hotshot then legacy hot shots
Both are sick!
I love it!
20:14 so i kinda paused it on the right frame so were getting twitch next i guess god this is the third comment i made
Twitch isn’t in the pipeline yet. I like to have her appear in every episode. It just makes me laugh when I edit.
